Arquata Scrivia railway station (Italian: Stazione di Arquata Scrivia) serves the town and comune of Arquata Scrivia, in the Piedmont region, Alessandria province in northwestern Italy.

The Aquitanian is, in the International Commission on Stratigraphy's (ICS) geologic timescale, the oldest age or lowest stage in the Miocene. It spans the time between 23.03 ± 0.05 Ma and 20.43 ± 0.05 Ma (million years ago) during the Early Miocene. It was a dry, cooling period. The Aquitanian succeeds the Chattian (the youngest age of the Oligocene) and precedes the Burdigalian. The Aquitanian Age overlaps with the Harrisonian, Agenian, Pareora, Landon, Otaian, and Waitakian Ages from various regional timescales.

Vignole Borbera (Ligurian: Ei Vgnêue; Genoese: Vigneue) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,154 and an area of 8.5 square kilometres (3.3 sq mi). The municipality of Vignole Borbera contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Variano Inferiore, Variano Superiore and Precipiano. Vignole Borbera borders the following municipalities: Arquata Scrivia, Borghetto di Borbera, Grondona, Serravalle Scrivia, and Stazzano.

The Amphitheatre of Libarna is found in the ancient Roman city of Libarna, near the modern town of Serravalle Scrivia, in Piedmont. It was discovered in excavations throughout the 20th century alongside remains of bath buildings.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,168 and an area of 17.8 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi).The municipality of Stazzano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vargo and Albarasca. Stazzano borders the following municipalities: Borghetto di Borbera, Cassano Spinola, Sardigliano, Serravalle Scrivia, and Vignole Borbera.

Monte Leco is a mountain in Liguria, northern Italy, part of the Ligurian Apennines. It is located in the provinces of Genoa and Alessandria. It lies at an altitude of 1072 metres.

Cortese di Gavi, or simply Gavi, is an Italian dry white wine produced in a restricted area of the Province of Alessandria, Piedmont, close to the Ligurian border. The wine was awarded DOC status in 1974 and elevated to DOCG in 1998.The name derives from Gavi, the comune at the centre of its production zone, and Cortese, the local variety of grape from which it is exclusively made and whose existence is reported from the 17th century. The current style of production dates to 1876. Cortese di Gavi made from vines within the comune of Gavi may be labeled Gavi di Gavi. Although the DOCG rules allow for sparkling spumante and metodo classico styles, most Gavi is produced as a non-sparkling still wine.

Monte Reale is a mountain of the Ligurian Apennines. It is located in the Province of Genoa along the watershed between the basin of the Scrivia Torrent and that of the Vobbia, its tributary to the right. It is situated in the more western part of the Regional Natural Park of Antola between the municipal territories of Ronco Scrivia and Isola del Cantone.

Lago della Busalletta is an artificial lake in northwest Italy which straddles the provinces of Genoa (in Liguria) and Alessandria (in Piedmont), near the towns of Fraconalto and Busalla. At an elevation of 441, its surface area is 0.3 km².

Grondona (Grondonn-a in Ligurian) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) southeast of Turin and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 548 and an area of 25.7 square kilometres (9.9 sq mi).The municipality of Grondona contains the frazione (subdivision) Variana. Grondona borders the following municipalities: Arquata Scrivia, Borghetto di Borbera, Isola del Cantone, Roccaforte Ligure, and Vignole Borbera.
