Monte Leco

Bocchetta Pass or Bochetta Pass or Passo della Bocchetta is a mountain pass in the Ligurian Apennine Mountains in Liguria north of Genoa, Italy. The summit of the pass is at an elevation of 772 meters (2,532 feet).

Lago della Busalletta is an artificial lake in northwest Italy which straddles the provinces of Genoa (in Liguria) and Alessandria (in Piedmont), near the towns of Fraconalto and Busalla. At an elevation of 441, its surface area is 0.3 km².

Monte Figogna is a mountain in Liguria, northern Italy, part of the Ligurian Apennines. It is located in the Municipality of Ceranesi, about 20 km from the city of Genoa. It lies at an altitude of 804 metres. In Ligurian, the mountain is called Monte Fighêugna. On its top is located the shrine of Nostra Signora della Guardia, one of the most important Catholic place of pilgrimage in Liguria.

The Shrine of Nostra Signora della Guardia ("Our Lady of the Watch") is a Roman Catholic place of pilgrimage located on the top of Monte Figogna (804 m asl) in the Municipality of Ceranesi, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the city of Genoa, in the northwest of Italy. It is the most important Marian shrine in Liguria. The name “Guardia” in Italian means “watch”, and the shrine is so called because in the Middle Ages Mount Figogna was a strategic observation station for monitoring the movement of armies along the Valpolcevera and of ships on the sea in the approaches to Genoa. From the pavement in front of the shrine, on a clear day, it is possible to look over all the Polcevera valley below, part of the city of Genoa, and the Ligurian Riviera. On a very clear day, mainly in winter, the skyline of the mountains of the French island of Corsica can also be seen. The shrine is the destination of pilgrims from Genoa and from and all over Italy. The cult has been spread throughout Italy and far beyond, so that many churches and shrines have been dedicated to Nostra Signora della Guardia.

The church Santi Quirico e Giulitta is a church in the Genovese quarter of San Quirico, located on val Polcevera. A church at the site is first recorded by 1143. It underwent a number of reconstructions and enlargements. By the 1840s, the church nearly lay in ruins, with the roof caving in. Construction of the present Neoclassic structure and façade began in 1849; it represents the designs of the architect Angelo Scaniglia, and was consecrated in 1851. The interior frescos mainly reflect Michele Cesare Danielli who died at the young age of 32 in 1853. It is ornamented by the paintings of Giovanni Mola. Further decoration was by Camillo Torsegno in 1870. The wooden statues of the titular saints at the altar, were produced by Giuseppe Rungaldier. Among the remnants of the older temple, is a small tempietto made of marble on the main altar. It also contains canvases of St Clair in adoration of the Holy Sacrament by Giovanni Andrea Carlone, St Felice Bishop celebrates Mass by Giovanni Andrea de Ferrari, Extasis of St. Theresa of Avila by Domenico Piola e St Ursula and the Virgins and the Holy Family by Domenico Fiasella.

Montaldeo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Turin and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southeast of Alessandria. Montaldeo borders the following municipalities: Casaleggio Boiro, Castelletto d'Orba, Lerma, Mornese, Parodi Ligure, and San Cristoforo.
