Aston University Mathematics School (AUMS) is a maths school in Birmingham, England. It is a state-funded, selective free school sixth form college for students aged 16 to 19, specialising in mathematics and related subjects. The school is sponsored by Aston University and operated by the Aston University STEM Education Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that also includes the Aston University Engineering Academy. AUMS opened on 1 September 2025. It is one of eleven maths schools established under a government programme to create a specialist mathematics sixth form in every region of England, and the only one in the West Midlands. It was the ninth maths school to become operational.

Aston Medical School (AMS) is part of Aston University, located in the city centre of Birmingham, in the United Kingdom. It is the 34th medical school in the UK and 6th in the Midlands. It exists to train doctors and to promote medical research. Aston Medical School was conceived and led by the founder Professor Asif Ahmed, who was the inaugural Executive Dean and also served as the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Health. The current Dean of Aston Medical School is Professor Anthony Hilton.

The Aston Centre for Europe (ACE) is a multi-disciplinary research hub located within Aston University, UK. Its focus is on contemporary analysis of the politics and policies of the European Union, governance in the wider Europe, and Europe's global relations. It was launched in 2009 with the support of a major grant from Aston University's Strategic Investment Fund. Masters students are an important element of the Aston Centre for Europe and are actively encouraged to take part in the events, seminars, debates and workshops that ACE offers throughout the academic year. ACE delivers a suite of 5 academic programmes at Masters (MA) level.

Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) is a regional academy for digital, creative and performing arts located in the centre of Birmingham, West Midlands, England.Birmingham Ormiston Academy is an independent state funded academy for 14- to 19-year-olds, with a curriculum designed to for those with talents in the specialist subjects. Their motto is "Imagine Everything". Applicants select a pathway, which will occupy the majority of the curriculum time (16 hours); additional subjects and programmes are also available. The academy admits students from Birmingham, the surrounding metropolitan boroughs and the wider West Midlands region. The school is sponsored by Ormiston Trust and Birmingham City University, and is partnered with Maverick TV, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the BRIT School, and has also been unofficially referred to as the BRIT school in Birmingham.As of 1 September 2014 BOA had taken over the running of the Old Rep Theatre on Station Street in Birmingham. The venue was re-launched on 4 September 2014 with a performance showcasing the skills of their students. Amateur and professional companies will still be able to perform at the theatre as well as the school using the venue for lessons, rehearsal space and performances.

Millennium Point is a multi-use meeting and conference venue, public building and charitable trust in Birmingham, England, situated in the developing Eastside of the city centre. The complex contains multiple event spaces, including a 354-seat auditorium, formerly Giant Screen IMAX cinema; Birmingham Science Museum, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's School of Acting and Birmingham City University's Faculty of Computing, Engineering and The Built Environment, part of Birmingham Metropolitan College. The building is owned by the Millennium Point Charitable Trust with a percentage of profits from the organisation's commercial activity being invested into projects, events and initiatives which support science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and education in the West Midlands. The Millennium Point Charitable Trust has contributed on average more than £5 million annually to the region through their charitable work.The complex was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 2 July 2002, although it had been in use since the previous year. In 2021, Millennium Point was announced as one of the first eight mass-vaccination centres, and the first in the West Midlands, as part of the COVID-19 Vaccination programme in the United Kingdom. Millennium Point's main Atrium and Level 2 spaces remained in use as a vaccination centre until 31st August that same year.

Thinktank, Birmingham (formerly known as simply Thinktank) is a science museum in Birmingham, England. Opened in 2001, it is part of Birmingham Museums Trust and is located within the Millennium Point complex on Curzon Street, Digbeth.

The Aston Triangle is an area of Birmingham City Centre, England. The area is mostly dominated by higher education facilities. Aston University is based within the Aston Triangle area and the logo of the establishment takes from the shape of the area. Birmingham City University also uses facilities on the Aston University campus. These are in Gosta Green together with Birmingham Institute of Art and Design and Aston Science Park. The site has large numbers of teaching buildings and student halls of residence, which are used by Aston University. Dalton, Lawrence, and Stafford Towers, three large towers containing student dwellings, were demolished in the early 2010s, and new student accommodation named the William Murdoch, the James Watt, the Harriet Martineau and the Mary Sturge Residences constructed.The triangular headquarters of West Midlands Fire Service was located at Lancaster Circus. The building has been purchased by the Watkin Jones Group who have plans to construct a high rise building in the courtyard of the building. West Midlands Five Service are currently constructing new headquarters in Duddeston. The area is also a centre of healthcare in Birmingham. An old Victorian building, which used to be the General Hospital, is now the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Adjacent to this is the Birmingham Dental Hospital of postwar architecture.
