It was built between 1823 and 1829. The property is owned by The Kings School Old Boys Union. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

180 George Street (also known as the Charles and George Towers) is a residential skyscraper complex currently under-construction in Parramatta. New South Wales, Australia. The complex is being developed by property developer Meriton, with the towers being designed by Woods Bagot. Initial proposals were first lodged in 2016, with final approval being given in October 2019. Construction commenced in the same year and upon completion, the towers will become the tallest residential buildings in the suburb of Parramatta. The complex consists of the north tower, standing at a height of 213 metres (699 ft) and the south tower, standing at a height of 189 metres (620 ft). It will contain 553 residential dwellings, while the hotel component will comprise 346 rooms. The north tower topped out in July 2022, while the south tower topped out in November 2022.

It was built from 1838 and was possibly designed by John Verge. It has also been known as Newlands, Bowden House, Parramatta Convalescent Home and Parramatta Nursing Home. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 1 October 1999.

The Division of Parramatta is an Australian electoral division in the state of New South Wales. The division was created in 1900 and was one of the original 65 divisions contested at the first federal election. It is named for the locality of Parramatta. The name Parramatta has been sourced to an Aboriginal word for the area. The Darug people had lived in the area for many generations, and regarded the area as a food bowl, rich in food from the river and forests. They called the area Baramada or Burramatta ("Parramatta") which means "the place where the eels lie down".The division is based in the western suburbs of Sydney. Besides Parramatta, it includes Camellia, Clyde, Constitution Hill, Dundas Valley, Granville, Harris Park, Holroyd, Mays Hill, North Parramatta, Oatlands, Rosehill, Rydalmere, Telopea, Wentworthville, Westmead; and parts of Carlingford, Dundas, Ermington, Guildford, Merrylands, North Rocks, Northmead, Old Toongabbie, Pendle Hill, South Granville, South Wentworthville, and Toongabbie. Parramatta is a diverse electorate with large immigrant communities from India and China, and has a higher than average university education rate according to the 2016 census.The current Member for the Division of Parramatta, since the 2022 federal election, is Andrew Charlton, a member of the Australian Labor Party.

Perth House is a heritage-listed former residence and school for girls at 85 George Street, Parramatta, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by James Houison and built in 1841. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

On 2 October 2015, Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar, a 15-year-old boy, shot and killed Curtis Cheng, an unarmed police civilian finance worker, outside the New South Wales Police Force headquarters in Parramatta, Sydney, Australia. Jabar was subsequently shot and killed by special constables who were protecting the headquarters. As of 27 April 2016, four other men have been charged in relation to the shooting, among whom Raban Alou was convicted of terrorism offences in March 2018.NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione described the event as a politically motivated act of terrorism.

The cottage was built from 1821 to 1825, with the initial section being designed by Henry Kitchen. It is also known as Firholme, Valley Cottage and Macarthur Cottage. The property is owned by Parramatta City Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 21 September 2012.

Arthur Phillip High School (abbreviated as APHS) is a coeducational public high school, located in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. The school was established in 1960 in its own right, in buildings which had been used continuously as a school since 1875, and is named for Arthur Phillip, the first governor of the state of New South Wales and the founder of the city of Sydney.
