The Saints Peter and Matthew the Apostles Parish Church of Toa Baja (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial de los Apóstoles San Pedro y San Matías), better known as the St. Peter the Apostle Parish Church of Toa Baja (Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro Apóstol de Toa Baja), is a historic 16h-century Roman Catholic parish church located in the main town square (plaza pública) of Toa Baja Pueblo, the administrative and historic center of the municipality of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.The church is notable for having its façade facing the La Plata River rather than the town square as it is usual in Puerto Rican towns (pueblos). Local tradition states that this was due to historical floods and consequent modifications made to the church. A small chapel that dated to before the official founding of Toa Baja used to occupy the site of the current church. The current façade, similar to that of the parish church of Vega Alta, dates to the 18th century. The church is of artistic notability for its chiseled gold and silver rococo ornamentations, described by Iñigo Abbad y Lasierra in 1775 as one of the best adorned in the island.

Toa Baja barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center (seat) of Toa Baja, a municipality of Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 565.As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called pueblo which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church. Fiestas patronales (patron saint festivals) are held in the central plaza every year.

Hacienda Santa Elena is a 500-acre historic sugarcane plantation located in the west bank of La Plata River in the Media Luna area of the municipality of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. Santa Elena is recognized as a historic monument by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture (ICP) since 1983, and it was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1992 as it is the only existing 18th-century industrial complex not only in Puerto Rico but also the Caribbean, in addition to being the oldest existing sugar mill of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

Casa del Rey (Spanish for 'house of the king') is a historic building and former cabildo located in the historic center of Dorado, Puerto Rico. Throughout its history it has also been known as the Militia Guard Headquarters (Cuartel de la Guardia de Milicias), Parador del Rey, and the Municipal Jail of Dorado (Cárcel Municipal de Dorado). The building, the oldest in town, provided housing for Spanish government personnel and also served as the regional military headquarters. In 1848, Jacinto López purchased the structure. In converting it into a residence, López added two wings which created a U-shaped configuration around an interior patio. In 1871, Casa del Rey became the home of Manuel Alonso y Pacheco, Puerto Rico's notable romantic writer. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The house was restored by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture in 1978 and is now a local history museum.

Dorado barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center (seat) of Dorado, a municipality of Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 780. It is one of the six barrios in the municipality of Dorado, Puerto Rico, along with Espinosa, Higuillar, Maguayo, Mameyal and Río Lajas.As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called pueblo which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church. The Don Andrés Hernández Residence (Spanish: Residencia Don Andrés Hernández), also known as the Don Modesto Hernández Residence (Residencia Don Modesto Hernández) or just the Yellow House (La Casa Amarilla), is a historic house located in Dorado Pueblo (downtown Dorado) in the municipality of the same name in northern Puerto Rico. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 1989. Investigation and oral tradition show that this might very well be the second-oldest house in all of Dorado. The sunken level of property, with regards to the current level of the town, testifies as to the old age of the house.

The Doña Antonia Ramírez Residence (Spanish: Residencia Doña Antonia Ramírez), also known as the Hernández Residence (Residencia Hernández), is a historic Italianate-style residential building located in the Maguayo barrio of Dorado, Puerto Rico. The house was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The lands where the house was built had been farmlands since at least 1896. The architectural plan, dated September 16, 1921, implies that the part of the house sporting an octagon was built by 1921, when the back part of the house was added.

De Luxe Florida Manufacturing Plant (Spanish: Fábrica de Fomento De Luxe Florida), also known as the De Luxe Caribe Inc. Building (Edificio De Luxe Caribe Inc.), is a historic factory building located in Florida, Puerto Rico. The building was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 2012 as it is a prime example of the early prototypes for manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico.The factory consists of plant number T-0472-0-58 and its addition labeled T-0472-0-66, which integrate the best-known and most successful manufacturing plant of the municipality of Florida. This is one of three prototypical buildings at a small-sized industrial park located northeast of town, alongside Road PR-642, Kilometer 11.1. The L-shaped plant was designed by architect René O. Ramírez, one of Puerto Rico's earliest and most decisively Modern architects. Built in steel and concrete, with an A-frame supported above concrete beams and columns, the property embodies key stylistic considerations pertaining to the Modern Movement in architecture. The De Luxe Florida/Caribe still incorporates all key components identifiable with the manufacturing building as originally designed and built.

WUNO (630 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to San Juan, Puerto Rico, it serves the Puerto Rico area. The station is currently owned by Uno Radio Group and features programming from CNN Radio. The station's programming is also heard on translator station W232DH 94.3 FM, serving the entire metropolitan area.

Dorado (Spanish pronunciation: [doˈɾaðo]) is a town and municipality in the northern coast of Puerto Rico, 15 miles (24 km) west of San Juan and is located in the northern region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Toa Alta, east of Vega Alta, and west of Toa Baja. Dorado is subdivided into five barrios and Dorado Pueblo (the downtown area and the administrative center of the city). It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area. During the early 18th century, there were already mentions of a "Sitio de Dorado" (meaning a golden place) in some San Juan registers. Since the beginning of the Spanish colonial period and until 1831, Dorado existed as a barrio (or ward) of the town of Toa Baja. Over several years, the ward grew and established its own town center called the "new pueblo" to differentiate itself from Toa Baja, which became known as the "old pueblo." Over several years, the barrios that currently make up Dorado grew and the people of the "new pueblo" wanted to separate themselves from Toa Baja. On November 22, 1842, Jacinto López Martínez, the Sergeant at Arms for the ward of Dorado, petitioned the Spanish Governor of Puerto Rico, Santiago Méndez Vigo, to establish the municipality of Dorado. The governor authorized the founding of the town pending the construction of public works, including an administrative building and a church near the town square. In 1848, the construction of the public works were completed and López Martínez became the first mayor of Dorado. Puerto Rico was ceded by Spain in the aftermath of the Spanish–American War under the terms of the Treaty of Paris of 1898 and became a territory of the United States. In 1902, four years after the Spanish–American War, Dorado was again appended to Toa Baja. However, in 1905 it regained its status as a separate town. Nowadays, Dorado has upscale neighborhoods and a small downtown area with a plaza (main town square), as other Puerto Rican municipalities. The town's patron saint is Anthony of Padua, and patron saint celebrations are held at the plaza every year on June 13.

The 1994 World Cup of Golf took place November 10–13 at the Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort in Puerto Rico. It was the 40th World Cup. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with each team consisting of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. Individuals also competed for the International Trophy. The winners share of the prize money was $300,000 going to the winning pair and $100,000 to the top individual. The United States team of Fred Couples and Davis Love won (for the third time in a row with the same players in the team) by 14 strokes over the Zimbabwe team of Mark McNulty and Tony Johnstone. Couples took the International Trophy by five strokes over Costantino Rocca of Italy.

Jacinto Lopez Martinez Grammar School, also known as Escuela Jacinto Lopez Martinez, in Dorado, Puerto Rico, is a school built in 1923-25 which was designed by architect Pedro Adolfo de Castro. It is a two-story U-shaped building.Its NRHP nomination describes at as "truly, on the outside, a rich and monumental symbol of the new emphasis given to the education of the Puerto Rican youth in the 1920s and 1930s." Its size, location on the town's main plaza, and architectural detailing "were undoubtedly meant to emphasize the differences between the new system (American) and its ideals in terms of educational goals, and the old, Spanish, ways.": 3
