Camp Ouareau

Lac (Lake) Ouareau is a fairly large lake located near the town of Saint-Donat, in Matawinie Regional County Municipality, Quebec, in administrative region of Lanaudière, in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is approximately 100 minutes by car north of downtown Montreal in the Laurentian Highlands and is located on the outskirts of Saint-Donat. Celine Dion currently owns a summer house on Lac Ouareau. Today, Archambault and Ouareau lakes receive thousands of vacationers who enjoy the many outdoor activities available in the region. The southwest shore of Lake Ouareau is served by the route 125 South which runs along the shore. The eastern part of the lake is served by the Saint-Guillaume path. The northern part (including the Baie de la Dame is served by the Ouareau North path. Recreational and tourist activities, notably vacationing, are the main economic activities in this area. The surface of Lake Ouareau is generally frozen from mid-December to the end of March; safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March.

Saint-Donat Aerodrome (TC LID: CSY4) is located at Saint-Donat, Quebec, Canada. It is the only aerodrome in the area, the next nearest are located to the south at Joliette and north at Mont-Laurier Airport and La Macaza. The runway is 3000 ft long by 30 ft wide, oriented in headings 12 and 30. Many services are available on the ground, no refueling, maintenance and tie down. Touch-and-go landings are not allowed. The maintenance is 12 months.

The village of Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm, an imposing resort and service center, is located on the peninsula between the eastern shore of Lake Archambault and the western shore of Lake Ouareau. The lake Archambault is surrounded by Régimbald road. The route 125 passes in the village of Saint-Donat and the route 329 serve the eastern part du lac. The Saint-Michel River is a watercourse of the municipality of Saint-Donat, in the Matawinie Regional County Municipality, in the administrative region of Lanaudière, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. The middle and upper part of the Saint-Michel river valley is served by the Chemin du Nordet; the lower part via Régimbald road and Rexfor road. Forestry is the main economic activity; recreational tourism, second. The surface of the Saint-Michel river (except the rapids areas) is generally frozen from mid-December to the end of March; safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation.

The 1943 Saint-Donat Liberator III Crash was an aerial accident that killed 24 people‍—‌the worst accident in Canadian military aviation history. During a routine flight from Gander, Newfoundland to Mont-Joli, Quebec, a combination of inclement weather and a mapping error caused the Liberator to collide with the Black Mountain (French: Montagne Noire), killing all those on board. The wreckage was discovered accidentally more than two years later. Today, a hiking trail leads to the site where remains of the aircraft can still be seen along with numerous plaques detailing the accident and a monument honouring those who died.

Lake Arpin is a small lake located in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada. This is a non populated lake. The first house to be built close to the water was in 2005. Until this house was built, the only access point was Chemin du Sentier, an almost fully grown-in dirt road. A bridge now gives access from Chemin du Lac Arpin to a small river which connects to the lake. This lake is used in the summer months by a Jewish Hasidic community located across the street, the four families who have summer houses on the lake and the families who live on connecting lakes: lac Magnan and lac Papineau. The fish population in the lake includes perch, sun fish, cat fish and muskellunge.

Camp B'nai Brith (Hebrew: מַחֲנֶה בְּנֵי בְּרִית) is a Jewish summer camp north of Montreal, in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. Camp B'nai Brith has been recognized as a pioneer in the world of community-service camps in North America. CBB offers camping to children and senior citizens on a sliding fee scale based on the family's finances, with fundraising activities subsidizing those who cannot afford to pay.

Val-David is a village of more than 5,200 inhabitants in the Laurentian Mountains about 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Attracting about 100,000 tourists a year, Val-David is predominantly francophone although it has a small anglophone minority. The village is famous for its delicious and diverse food scene as well for its artistic and hippie character. Many renowned and amateur artists, writers and dancers live and have lived in Val-David, notably Québécois poet Gaston Miron, jazz bassist Charlie Biddle, and singer-songwriter Alan Gerber. Val-David is also a centre for much outdoor recreational activity as its 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) Parc Dufresne is the most popular rock-climbing destination in eastern Canada. Also, the Parc Linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord, a 200 kilometres (120 mi) bike trail, and groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails in Winter, run throughout the town's splendid nature.

Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts is a town in the province of Quebec, Canada, in the regional county municipality of Les Laurentides in the administrative region of Laurentides, also known as the "Laurentians" or the Laurentian Mountains (in English). Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts borders on a lake called Lac des Sables, and is located approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Montreal, and 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Ottawa. The town has been twinned with Lagny-sur-Marne, France since 1969 and Saranac Lake, New York since 2002.
