The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle (German: Die Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff; Italian: I Giardini di Castel Trauttmansdorff) are botanical gardens located on the grounds of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Meran, Italy. The gardens are open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged.

It is home to the Touriseum, a museum of tourism and since 2001 the surrounding grounds have been open as the Trauttmansdorff Castle Gardens, a botanical garden. During the years of fascist Italy the castle was called di Nova Castle (Torrente Nova is the name of a little brook near Trauttmansdorff).

Lana (Italian pronunciation: [ˈlaːna]; German pronunciation: [ˈlaːna]) is a comune (municipality) and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is situated in the Etschtal (Etsch Valley) between Bolzano and Merano and at the entrance to the Ultental. The population rose to 12,566 in 2020. It is one of the three municipalities of South Tyrol whose name remained unchanged by the early 20th-century renaming programme which aimed at replacing mostly German place names with Italianised versions, the other two being Gais and Plaus.

Festenstein Castle (also Burg Festenstein, Ruine Festenstein, Schloss Festenstein, Castelforte, and Castel Forte) is a 13th-century castle ruin, located above Andrian in South Tyrol, in northern Italy. It is perched on a rocky outcrop called the Gaider Schlucht, and can only be reached via a steep mountain climb. The castle was built around the mid-13th century, and was used as a stronghold by the many warlords of the area. It was saved from further deterioration in 2008.

Tscherms (German pronunciation: [tʃɛrms]; Italian: Cermes [ˈtʃɛrmes]) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Bolzano. Once part of the commune of Marling, Tscherms became a commune on its own in 1897.

Merano (UK: , US: , Italian: [meˈraːno] ) or Meran (German: [meˈʁaːn] ) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol, Northern Italy. Generally best known for its spa resorts, it is located within a basin, surrounded by mountains standing up to 3,335 metres (10,942 feet) above sea level, at the entrance to the Passeier Valley and the Vinschgau. The city has been a popular place of residence for several scientists, literary people, and artists, including Franz Kafka, Ezra Pound, Paul Lazarsfeld, and also Empress Elisabeth of Austria, who appreciated its mild climate.

The Steinerner Steg (Italian: Ponte Romano) is a two-arched, stone-built footbridge across the Passer in Merano, South Tyrol, northern Italy. The oldest bridge in the town, it connects the historic centre and the Steinach district with the Obermais quarter.In 1615 the wooden aqueduct which spanned the river here had fallen into disrepair and the town decided to demolish it and build a stone bridge in its place. The following year Andrä Tanner, an architect from Brixen, was contracted to build the replacement. Scarcely had the works been completed, however, when the new bridge was washed away in a flood. The current structure was completed in 1617. The bridge is in close proximity to the Passeirer Tor, one of the town gates of Merano.
