Garfield Methodist Church is a historic church at 1302 E. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix, Arizona. It was built in 1926 in a Mission/Spanish Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It is currently home to Aim Right Ministries. The church is a two-story 80 by 40 feet (24 m × 12 m) building designed by local architect Vere Wallingford. It is built of wire-cut bricks, with a gable roof, on a concrete foundation. It has a two-story corner entry vestibule resembling a bell tower.

The Goldwater Institute is a conservative and libertarian public policy think tank located in Phoenix whose stated mission is "to defend and strengthen the freedom guaranteed to all Americans in the constitutions of the United States and all fifty states". The organization was established in 1988 with the support of former Senator Barry Goldwater. The Goldwater Institute was primarily a public policy research organization until 2007 when it added a litigation arm, becoming the first state-based policy organization to do so. Goldwater's litigation arm, the Scharf-Norton Center for Constitutional Litigation, engages in lawsuits against government entities across the United States.

The Phoenix freeway shootings, also known as the I-10 shootings, were a series of eleven incidents that occurred between August 27 and September 10, 2015, along Interstate 10 and State Route 202 in Phoenix, Arizona. Each incident resulted in projectile damage to cars, and one girl was injured. A suspect was arrested on September 18, but charges against him were dropped in April 2016.

Grace Lutheran Church is a historic Evangelical Lutheran Church in America church at 1124 N. 3rd Street in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The church as a congregation has been in existence since 1914, making it the oldest Lutheran church in Arizona. Its building was built in 1928, in the Gothic Revival style.It is a two-story stone building 80 by 100 feet (24 m × 30 m) in plan. It is divided into bays by buttressed pilasters. It has a rose window, stained glass and lancet windows at the rear, and crenulated parapets.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. Its listing was in accordance with a study of historic church architecture in Phoenix.

Phoenix Union Bioscience High School is part of the Phoenix Union High School District. The campus is located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The school's mission is to prepare tomorrow's scientists by providing the students of Phoenix Union with a science education through intensive collaboration with the academic and scientific communities in downtown Phoenix. Phoenix Union High School (PUHS) was a high school that was part of the Phoenix Union High School District in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, one of five high school-only school districts in the Phoenix area. Founded in 1895 and closed in 1992, the school consisted of numerous buildings on a campus which by 1928 consisted of 18 acres. In 1982, the majority of the campus was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Phoenix Union High School Historic District The PUHS campus was included in the Phoenix Historic Property Register in 1986, and received landmark designation in 2003. The campus is now part of the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, including three buildings on East Van Buren Street between North 5th and North 7th Streets built in 1911-1912 and designed by Norman Foote Marsh in the Neoclassical style. As of 2007, these three buildings became part of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.
