Tottenham Wood

Bluebell Wood in the London Borough of Haringey is a small remnant of one of the ancient woodlands of London. It is situated at the end of Winton Avenue and is bordered by Muswell Hill golf course, Winton Avenue and the Golf Course Allotments. Just over an acre in size, it is open at all times and is a popular place for local people to walk their dogs. Dominated by sessile oak, the wood has a variety of wildlife including midland hawthorn and wild service tree. Birds including song thrush, chaffinch and magpie are commonly seen as well as butterflies and mammals such as squirrel, hedgehog and wood mouse. Despite its name, there are no native common bluebells (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) to be found here; only the occasional Spanish hybrid that has spread from neighbouring gardens. The wood is the last surviving fragment of what was once a much larger woodland, Tottenham Wood, which in 1619 covered approximately 157 hectares (388 acres).

The Golf Course Allotments are allotments in the Muswell Hill area of North London, United Kingdom. At over 11.5 acres they are the second largest allotment site in the London Borough of Haringey (who also owns them). As with nearly all allotment sites in the borough it is (mostly) run by the site's association, the Golf Course Allotment's Association (GCAA).

The Evangelical Library in Bounds Green, London, is a lending library for Christian ministers, students and other lay-persons. For many years the library was located on Chiltern Street in central London. It moved to North London in mid-2009.The Library was founded through the vision of Geoffrey Williams (1886–1975) to be a library that offered the very best of Protestant evangelical resources. In this aim he was much encouraged in 1938 by the then associate minister of Westminster Chapel, Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones. Before the move in 1944 to its Chiltern Street location close to Baker Street Underground station, it was known as the Beddington Free Grace Library, based in the tiny village of Beddington, Surrey. The library is home to more than 80,000 evangelical books. It also has an extensive archive of several evangelical periodicals. It hosts an annual lecture and publishes a regular magazine called In Writing (formerly known as The Evangelical Library Bulletin). Following a major refurbishment in 2005, the library now has a reference room, known as the Robert Sheehan Puritan and Research Centre, named in honour of the late Robert J. Sheehan (1951–97), the former pastor of Welwyn Evangelical Church. It has links with a number of similar libraries worldwide, which it also supports.

Alexandra Park School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Muswell Hill area of the London Borough of Haringey, England. The school provides education for students aged 11–18. Since opening in 1999, the school has continued to grow and develop; gaining specialist schools status in 2005. Its headteacher is Michael McKenzie. The school draws its students from a wide geographical area that includes the relatively prosperous wards in the borough as well as some of the most deprived wards in the country: over 40% of the total intake comes from the latter area. The percentage of students speaking a language other than English is well above average, as is the proportion entitled to a free school meal and the proportion of students who have a learning difficulty or disability. The school is involved in the National College for School Leadership, provides extended service and holds the following awards: Investors in People, Sports Mark and Healthy Schools. Alexandra Park School has exchange student programmes. Due to their specialist school status, Alexandra Park can offer students an Astronomy GCSE. This started in 2009 offered to year nine students.

O.R. Tambo Recreation Ground, previously known as Albert Road Recreation Ground, is a public park in the London borough of Haringey. The park is 6.39 hectares (15.8 acres) in size and features many facilities for sports such as tennis, cricket and football. The site is protected by Fields in Trust through a legal "Deed of Dedication" safeguarding the future of the space as public recreation land for future generations to enjoy.In February 2021, Haringey council renamed the park in honour of South African anti-Apartheid activist Oliver Tambo. A memorial to Tambo was first installed in 2009 with the installation of a bust and commemorative garden. This was further extended in 2019 with the installation of a more lifelike statue, and the renaming in 2021.

The Ming-Ai (London) Institute (simplified: 明爱(伦敦)学院; traditional: 明愛(倫敦)學院; pinyin: Míng'ài (Lúndūn) Xuéyuàn) is the executive arm of the Ming-Ai Association, established in 1992 to promote Chinese culture locally and deliver cultural exchanges between the United Kingdom and Greater China.Operating from Denver House near Bounds Green tube station, the Ming-Ai (London) Institute offers a number of short courses and delivers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Memorandum with Middlesex University.The Ming-Ai (London) Institute hosts and exhibits information about British Chinese cultural Heritage through the British Chinese Heritage Centre (simplified: 英国华人文化传承中心; traditional: 英國華人文化傳承中心; pinyin: Yīngguó Huárén Wénhuà Chuánchéng Zhōngxīn), a cyber centre dedicated to ongoing and past heritage projects conducted by the Ming-Ai (London) Institute. The institute has also delivered a variety of professional and vocational courses, which include the following: languages, including Japanese, Cantonese, and Mandarin; hospitality, including Food Hygiene (CIEH), BIIAB National Certificate Personal Licence Holder (NCPLH), Cookery in Chinese and Oriental Style and Dimsum Taster Days; leisure, Tai Chi (simplified: 太极, pinyin: Tàijí), Piano, Chinese Painting, Chinese Calligraphy; and others, including the Life in the UK British Citizenship Test.

Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Primary School (commonly abbreviated to OLOL) is a primary school in The Limes Avenue, near Bowes Road, in Arnos Grove in the London Borough of Enfield. The school opened in 1971. An ICT suite was built at the school in 2001, and the school won achievement awards from the DfES in 2001, 2002 and 2003. The school has recently had a rapid increase in the number of after school clubs offered, although it remains a single form entry school. It is also, strangely but incorrectly, well known in most of Enfield for having no corridors.

New Southgate is a residential suburb straddling three Outer London Boroughs: a small part of the east of Barnet, a south-west corner of Enfield and in loosest definitions, based on nearest railway stations, a small northern corner of Haringey in North London, England where estates merge into Bounds Green. Its first church, founded in 1873, was among organisations opting for the newer name, New Southgate, rather than the older hamlet name Colney Hatch which from 1851 became more use-specific. The gradual demise of the former place name use is shown by New Southgate railway station, renamed five times. Changes in this terminology reflect social stigma to a large residential institution, in this case the Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum, built in 1851, which co-provided for Middlesex and as such continued to serve much of London after London County Council was founded in 1889. The later mental health hospital closed in 1993 and has been redeveloped into two housing estates, Princess Park Manor and Friern Village in New Southgate.

Syro-Malabar Catholic Church of London is a church in Arnos Grove, North London. It is part of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, the largest denomination of the Saint Thomas Christians, based mainly in India. It is estimated that there are 55,000 Indian Catholics in the UK. The church in London was first established in 2002 by the initiative of Fr. Biju john Kochuparampil, and was officially recognised by the three Catholic Dioceses in 2005. The new Coordinator of the church is Rev.Dr. Thomas Parayadyil. The Syro-Malabar Church London was founded with the initiative of Rev. Fr. Biju John. Though he was staying in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Newsouthgate, he was initiated a process of spiritual renewal among the Syro-Malabar Catholics living in the UK (who is been migrating from Kerala to the United Kingdom). Then there was only a very few priests from the Syro-Malabar church living in the UK. With the help of some lay leaders he established around 52 communities in the UK for the Syro-Malabar Church. Rev. Fr. Biju John resigned his post as the first co-ordinator of the Syro-Malabar church, he even sacrificed his place of residence for the future co-ordinator. After his resignation the church in London was looked after by four priests of the same rite.

Arnos Grove is a London Underground station located in Arnos Grove in the London Borough of Enfield, London. It is on the Piccadilly line between Bounds Green and Southgate stations and is in Travelcard Zone 4. The station opened on 19 September 1932 as the most northerly station on the first section of the Piccadilly line extension from Finsbury Park to Cockfosters. It was the terminus of the line until services were further extended to Oakwood on 13 March 1933. When travelling from east of Barons Court and through Central London, Arnos Grove is the first surface station after the long tunnel section of the Piccadilly line. The station has four platforms which face three tracks. The station was designed by architect Charles Holden, and has been described as a significant work of modern architecture. On 19 February 1971, the station was Grade II listed. In 2005, the station was refurbished with the heritage features also maintained. In July 2011 Arnos Grove's listed status was upgraded to Grade II*. The station was awarded with the Best Newcomer and the Best Overall Garden in the Underground in Bloom 2011 competition and also in the London in Bloom competition.

Bounds Green is a residential suburb just north of Wood Green, in the London Borough of Haringey in north London. Parts of it are also known as New Southgate, but most of New Southgate lies in the London Borough of Enfield to the north-west. Bounds Green was originally formed as a popular overnight stop-over for travellers, located on the then outskirts of London, just short of the tollgate at Turnpike Lane. Bounds Green Underground station on the Piccadilly line, opened in 1932, is in the area previously known as Bowes Park and which is also served by Bowes Park railway station. The original name of Bounds Green was associated with the former Bounds Green Farm near Cline Road, some 500 metres to the north-west of the Underground station. The Green is still extant in part and is the common land either side of Bounds Green Road. The common of approximately two acres is bounded by Warwick Road, The Drive, Tewkesbury Terrace and Bounds Green Brook to the north of the A406 North Circular Road. Control of the common land passed to the London Borough of Haringey from the Municipal Borough of Wood Green in 1965. Other green areas of land include the Albert Road Recreation Ground and Golf Course Allotments.
