Green Hill Cemetery (Greensboro, North Carolina)

Green Hill Cemetery Gatekeeper's House is a historic gatekeeper's house located at Green Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. It was built in 1888–1889, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, cross-shaped, frame structure in the Gothic Revival style. It features a steeply pitched cross-gable roof with wide overhanging eaves. It also has sawnwork bargeboards with kingposts and a full-width one-story porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Latham-Baker House is a historic home located at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. It was built in 1913, and is a two-story, Prairie School style dwelling. It has a low-pitched hip roof, broad, projecting eaves, and green terra cotta tile roof. An addition was constructed about 1916. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house, or three-car garage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is located in the Fisher Park Historic District.

First National Bank Field is a Minor League Baseball park located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. The home of the Greensboro Grasshoppers of the High-A East, it opened on April 3, 2005. The park is on the block bounded by Bellemeade, Edgeworth, Smith, and Eugene Streets. The stadium's seating capacity is 7,499 people, 5,300 of which are chair-back seats. The stadium was built to Double-A standards and has room for future expansion. In 2017, the Grasshoppers had the best average attendance in the South Atlantic League and the highest total attendance in the league.

The district encompasses 541 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 44 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Greensboro. The houses were largely built between the 1900s and 1930s and include notable examples of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, American Foursquare, and Bungalow / American Craftsman-style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Dixon-Leftwich-Murphy House, John Marion Galloway House, Julian Price House, and Latham-Baker House. Other notable buildings include the First Presbyterian Church (1928), Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (1922), Gant-McAlister House (c. 1910–15), and A.J. Schlosser House (c. 1922).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, with a boundary increase in 1996.

The North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival is an annual comedy festival in Carrboro, North Carolina, United States. The festival was started in 2001 by Zach Ward (of Dirty South Improv Comedy Theater) as an improv showcase and improv seminars. The festival has grown year over year. In 2009 it added stand up comedy and in 2010, it expanded to include sketch comedy and film as well as extending into a month-long festival in Carrboro, North Carolina.

The Battle of Wetzell's Mill (the name may also be spelled Weitzell, Weitzel, Whitesell, Whitsell or Whitsall) was an American Revolutionary War battle fought on March 6, 1781, between detachments of Nathanael Greene's Continental Army and militia and Banastre Tarleton's Loyalist provincial troops in Guilford County, North Carolina.Greene was trying to avoid encounters with the larger British Cornwallis' larger army while awaiting the arrival of additional troops, and had sent Williams and several hundred men on reconnaissance to watch Cornwallis' movements. Cornwallis learned where Williams was on March 4, and, realizing he could be trapped because he was separated from Greene's army by Reedy Ford Creek, sent Tarleton and 1,200 men toward the ford at Wetzell's Mill. Early on March 6 Tarleton's men tried to sneak up on Williams' position, then about ten miles south of the ford. After a brief skirmish, the two forces raced toward the ford. Williams kept Harry "Light Horse" Lee in the rear to cover their retreat, and reached the ford ahead of Tarleton. His army crossed, at which point he decided to make a stand at the crossing. Tarleton's first attempt to cross was repulsed, but the second succeeded, and Williams retreated.

Guilford County is included in the Greensboro-High Point, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point, NC Combined Statistical Area.

John Marion Galloway House is a historic home located at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. It was designed by noted architect Harry Barton and built in 1919. It is a three-story, rectangular dwelling with Tudor Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman style design elements. It has a veneer of random-coursed granite with half-timbered gable ends, gable-roofed dormers, and a red tile roof. Also on the property is a contributing two-story double garage which once included servants' quarters.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the Fisher Park Historic District. The house was built for John Marion Galloway (1880-1922) who was reportedly the largest grower of bright leaf tobacco in the world.

Dr. David P. Weir House is a historic home located at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. It was built about 1846, and is a two-story, frame structure with Greek Revival and Italianate style design elements. It has a low hip roof pierced by two interior chimneys and a one-story kitchen wing. The house was expanded in 1961 by created a large meeting space at the front of the house for the Greensboro Woman's Club. The house may have been built from a plan provided by the well-known New York architect Alexander Jackson Davis.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
