Tenuta Veneria, together with Selve (frazione of the comune of Salasco), was a filming location for Bitter Rice, a 1949 movie starring Silvana Mangano.

The airport is managed by the Aero Club Vercelli "Marilla Rigazio" and carries out activities according to the rules of visual flight. Vercelli Airfield was inaugurated in 1928.

The Battle of Vercellae, or Battle of the Raudine Plain, was fought on 30 July 101 BC on a plain near Vercellae in Gallia Cisalpina (modern day Northern Italy). A Germanic-Celtic confederation under the command of the Cimbric king Boiorix was defeated by a Roman army under the joint command of the consul Gaius Marius and the proconsul Quintus Lutatius Catulus. The battle marked the end of the Germanic threat to the Roman Republic.

Vercelli railway station (Italian: Stazione di Vercelli) is the main station serving the city and comune of Vercelli, in the Piedmont region, northwestern Italy.
