Gimingham

Remote Radar Head Trimingham or RRH Trimingham is a former TPS-77 radar station situated on the coast in the English county of Norfolk. The site is located on the coast road between Cromer and Mundesley, 1 kilometre east of the village of Trimingham but the activity has now moved to RRH Neatishead due to the threat from coastal erosion. The radar station was a satellite station of RAF Neatishead (grid reference TG289382). This radar station was controlled and maintained by a section of Radar Technicians and Operators and supported by a team of Ground Engineers. Trimingham provided extensive coverage of the East coast of the United Kingdom and helped contribute to the recognised air picture and defence of the United Kingdom. The type 93 became operational on the site in April 1997.

Trimingham is a coastal village and a civil parish in the North Norfolk district of Norfolk, England. The village is 5 miles (8 km) north of North Walsham, 4 miles (6 km) east of Cromer, 20 miles (32 km) north of the city and county town of Norwich, and is on the B1159 coastal road between Cromer and Mundesley. The villages name means 'Homestead/village of Trymma's people'.

Trunch is a village and parish in Norfolk, England, situated three miles north of North Walsham and two miles from the coast at Mundesley. At the Census 2011 the village had a population of 909. The parish covers an area of 5.5 square kilometres (2.1 sq mi). The villages name origin is uncertain perhaps, 'upland wood'.Trunch never had any rail connections in the village itself but it does have a rail map outside of its pub. Before the 1960s one could go to the next village along (Knapton) to catch a train to Cromer or North Walsham from Paston & Knapton railway station (M&GN) to catch a train. Now the nearest stations are Gunton and North Walsham.

Trimingham railway station was a station in Trimingham, Norfolk on the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway line between Cromer Beach and North Walsham. It opened on 3 August 1906.The station was host to a LNER camping coach in 1938 and 1939.The station closed along this part of the line closed to passengers on 7 April 1953.

Sidestrand and Trimingham Cliffs is a 133.9-hectare (331-acre) biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Cromer in Norfolk. It is a Geological Conservation Review site. It is in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This crumbling cliff exposes both Pleistocene sediments and a rich assembly of invertebrate fossils dating to the late Cretaceous. It also has several rare beetles and the Red Data Book parasitic herbaceous plant purple broomrape.The beach is open to the public.

Southrepps Common is a 5.6-hectare (14-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of North Walsham in Norfolk. A larger area of 12.9-hectare (32-acre) is a Local Nature Reserve. It is owned by Southrepps Parish Council and managed by Southrepps Common Group. It is part of the Norfolk Valley Fens Special Area of Conservation.This is damp grassland and fen in the valley of the River Ant. There are several rare true flies characteristic of undisturbed wetlands, especially Pteromicra glabricula and Colobaea distincta, both of which have larvae which are parasitic on snails.The site is open to the public

The village is 5.2 miles (8.4 km) southeast of Cromer, 21.9 miles (35.2 km) north of Norwich and 136.0 miles (218.9 km) north of London. Overstrand is a village (population 1,030) on the north coast of Norfolk in England, two miles east of Cromer. It was once a modest fishing station, with all or part of the fishing station being known as Beck Hythe. In the latter part of the 19th century it was catapulted into prominence, and became known as “the village of millionaires”.

Sidestrand Halt was a railway station on the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway which briefly served the Norfolk coastal village of Sidestrand from 1936 to 1953.

Gunton railway station on the Bittern Line in Norfolk, England, serves the villages of Lower Street, Thorpe Market and Southrepps. It is 19 miles 63 chains (31.8 km) from Norwich, between North Walsham to the south and Roughton Road to the north. Train services are operated by Greater Anglia. There is no village named Gunton: the station is in the parish of Thorpe Market and closest to Lower Street. It was built primarily for the convenience of Lord Suffield, who lived at nearby Gunton Hall, a major investor in the original East Norfolk Railway which built the line from Norwich to Cromer.The station is unstaffed and consists of a single platform with a basic shelter. Originally the location of a passing loop, the northbound platform and station buildings are preserved but now privately owned. There is an unrestricted car park at the station that can accommodate about ten vehicles.

Frogshall is a small hamlet within the civil parish of Northrepps in the English county of Norfolk. The hamlet is 5.2 miles (8.4 km) southeast of Cromer, 21.9 miles (35.2 km) north of Norwich and 136 miles (219 km) north of London. Craft Lane [1] runs through the hamlet between Northrepps and Southrepps. The nearest railway station is at Gunton on the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The hamlet as part of the greater parish of Northrepps had in the 2011 census, a population of 886. For the purposes of local government, the hamlet falls within the district of North Norfolk.
