Dorset Park is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the western part of the district of Scarborough. The neighbourhood is bordered by Highway 401 to the north, Midland Avenue to the east, Lawrence Avenue to the south, and Birchmount Road to the west. Kennedy Road runs along the neighbourhood's centre north and south and Ellesmere Road runs along the centre east and west. The area south of Lawrence Avenue, north of the hydro corridor, is known as McGregor Park and is often included as part of Dorset Park. The business district of Scarborough is carried right through the heart of Dorset Park along Kennedy Road from Highway 401 to Lawrence Avenue. The business district along Kennedy Road is a 3.5 kilometre stretch of the road with nothing but stores, businesses and high rise buildings. Kennedy Commons, a large strip mall, is located on Kennedy Road, between Highway 401 and Ellesmere Road.

Scarborough Centre (French: Scarborough-Centre) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1979. The riding was created in 1976 from parts of Scarborough East, Scarborough West and York—Scarborough ridings. Lawrence East is a rapid transit station on Line 3 Scarborough of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station is located underneath the elevated portion of Lawrence Avenue East, in the Midland Avenue and Kennedy Road corridor. It is the third-busiest station on Line 3, after Kennedy and Scarborough Centre. In February 2021, the TTC recommended the closure of Line 3 in 2023 and its replacement by bus service until the completion of Scarborough extension of Line 2 Bloor–Danforth. After the closure of this station, a new Lawrence East station would be built along the planned Line 2 extension on the southwest corner of Lawrence Avenue East and McCowan Road.

Lawrence–Kennedy GO Station (also known as Lawrence East GO Station) was a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx under Lawrence Avenue in Toronto on the site of the existing Lawrence East station. Parking, a kiss and ride area, a bus loop, and pedestrian access from the Lawrence Avenue overpass will be provided. It was initially proposed as part of SmartTrack but was removed from the plan in January 2021.

David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute (sometimes called David and Mary Thomson, DMT, DMTCI, Thomson CI or Thomson) is a semestered English-language high school located in the Bendale neighbourhood in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, originally sanctioned by the Scarborough Board of Education and since 1998 under its successor board, the Toronto District School Board. From 1959–60 until the 2018–19 school year, Thomson was housed in the Lawrence Avenue East building constructed in 1958 and the new school building was built in the former Bendale Business and Technical Institute property in 2019. The school was named after David and Mary Thomson, the first European settlers that immigrated to Scarborough in the late 18th century. Its motto is Nil Sine Magno Labore (Nothing without great effort).

Ionview is a surface light rail transit (LRT) stop under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Ionview neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Ionview Road. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The stop is located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue on the west side of its intersection with Ionview Road. The stop has parallel side platforms to be accessed from the pedestrian crossing on the west side of the signalized street intersection.

Birchmount is a surface light rail transit (LRT) stop under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Ionview neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Birchmount Road. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The stop is located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue on the east side of its intersection with Birchmount Road. The stop has side platforms which will be accessed from the pedestrian crossing on the east side of the signalized street intersection. On the east side of this stop, there are two separate crossovers, one trailing point and the other facing point.

Ellesmere is a rapid transit station on Line 3 Scarborough of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at Ellesmere Road, between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue.Ellesmere is the least-used station on the entire TTC network. On average, only 1,850 passengers boarded trains here each day in 2006–2007 and only 1,678 in 2007–2008. Part of the reason for this is that there are no bus bays or at least a direct connection to any bus stop at the station; passengers would have to walk to the nearest bus stop on Ellesmere Road.In February 2021, the TTC recommended the closure of Line 3 in 2023 and its replacement by bus service until the completion of Scarborough extension of Line 2 Bloor–Danforth. This closure would also include this station.

Bendale Business and Technical Institute (Bendale BTI, BBTI, or Bendale), formerly Bendale Secondary School and Bendale Vocational School is a defunct specialized technical public high school that was located in Bendale, a neighbourhood in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada owned by the Scarborough Board of Education, that succeeded its operations into the present Toronto District School Board prior to merger. Existed from 1963 until its closure in 2019, it was the first vocational school that served in the former borough of Scarborough in which the school tailored for students with life skills or pursue career in the industry. The school's motto was Flourish Through Industry. The school merged with David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute in 2019, after which it was demolished with the former race track was replaced by the new school building. Bendale was located on the eastern corner of Midland Avenue north of Lawrence Avenue East.

Ionview is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the district of Scarborough. It is bounded by Birchmount Road to the west, the hydro transmission corridor north of Ranstone Gardens to the north, the CNR railway to the east, and Eglinton Avenue East, Kennedy Road and the CNR railway to the south. Ionview is contained within the federal and provincial riding of Scarborough Southwest. It is represented by Lorenzo Berardinetti in the Ontario Legislature and Dan Harris in the Parliament of Canada. The Toronto Police Service's 41 Division is based in the neighbourhood.
