Ionview

Ionview is a surface light rail transit (LRT) stop under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Ionview neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Ionview Road. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The stop is located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue on the west side of its intersection with Ionview Road. The stop has parallel side platforms to be accessed from the pedestrian crossing on the west side of the signalized street intersection.

The Salaheddin Islamic Centre is a mosque located in the Scarborough district of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada noted for its outspoken Imam Aly Hindy. Since Aly Hindy took over the leadership of the Centre in 1997, Salaheddin has transformed from a small mosque to become a full centre with so many facilities and programs. Beside offering regular prayers, lectures & Conferences, Salaheddin Centre is assisting the disadvantaged and the destitute by offering a host of services including full-time elementary and High school, Marriage and counselling services, food bank, Youth programs; and funeral service along with other activities that seek to improve people's lives. One of its key founders was Hassan Farhat, but he was made persona non grata by the mosque's administrators and forbidden from continuing to hold any position in the facility; although he was allowed to return for worship. A number of its worshippers have been accused of ties to terrorism, including Ahmed Khadr who ran a charity named Health and Education Project International that used to attend the mosque and allegedly funneled money to Afghan training camps.Brothers Saeed and Masoud Rasoul, whose father was a prayer leader at the mosque, later went missing in Iraq, believed to have fought for Ansar al-Islam, possibly at the urging of Farhat.Following the 2006 Ontario terrorism plot, it emerged that Fahim Ahmad and a number of other suspects were members of the mosque.During the bail Hearing of Abdullah Khadr in August 2008, the Crown attacked the credibility of the mosque — although judge Trotter dismissed the suggestion, referring to testimony from RCMP officer Tarek Mokdad who agreed it was not reasonable to suggest the mosque supported terrorism.

Kennedy is both a terminal and interchange station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth and Line 3 Scarborough of the Toronto subway system. Opened in 1980, it is located east of the Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue intersection. With the adjacent Kennedy GO station on the Stouffville line of GO Transit, Kennedy is an intermodal transit hub and the fifth busiest station in the system, after Bloor–Yonge, St. George, Sheppard–Yonge, and Union, serving a total of approximately 111,190 customer trips a day. The station's main complex consists of four floors with wheelchair accessible entrances. The ground level is the bus terminal surrounded with ten platforms that serve eleven Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) bus routes. Wi-Fi service is available at this station.Construction to expand the station began in 2017 to add a platform for the future Line 5 Eglinton, which will terminate at the station when its first phase opens in 2022. Further changes to the station are expected to take place during the 2020s as Line 3 is scheduled to be decommissioned and Line 2 is set to be extended to Scarborough City Centre. Until then, it will be the first station in the subway system to be an interchange for three lines.

Birchmount is a surface light rail transit (LRT) stop under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Ionview neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Birchmount Road. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The stop is located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue on the east side of its intersection with Birchmount Road. The stop has side platforms which will be accessed from the pedestrian crossing on the east side of the signalized street intersection. On the east side of this stop, there are two separate crossovers, one trailing point and the other facing point.

Kennedy GO Station is a train station in the GO Transit network located in the Scarborough area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is a stop on the Stouffville line GO train service, and is directly connected to the adjacent Kennedy subway station which serves the Line 2 Bloor–Danforth and Line 3 Scarborough lines, as well as numerous TTC bus services.

The Toronto East Detention Centre, often simply referred to as The East, is a remand facility located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the former borough of Scarborough. It is located to the southwest of Eglinton Avenue and Birchmount Road. The facility was known as the Metropolitan Toronto East Detention Centre until the Metropolitan Municipality of Toronto was amalgamated in 1998. It is notably mentioned in the song "Informer" by Canadian reggae fusion artist Snow, becoming one of the biggest hit singles of 1993.

St. Joan of Arc Catholic Academy, formerly known as Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School, is a Roman Catholic high school in the Eglinton East neighbourhood of Scarborough in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as a member of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (formerly the Metropolitan Separate School Board). The school building was originally opened in 1965 as Tabor Park Vocational School (1965–1986) by the Scarborough Board of Education, which became the Toronto District School Board who leased the building to the MSSB/TCDSB since 1989. The school educates 1002 students as of the 2016–17 academic year and it is ranked 331 out of 725 schools in the Fraser Institute report card.Previously, the school was named after Jean Vanier, the founder of L'Arche in 1964. The school was renamed in July 2020 in honor of Joan of Arc in the aftermath of the posthumous sexual allegations against its former namesake. Its motto is Minds to Reason, Hands to Work, Hearts for God.

Midland Avenue Collegiate Institute (also known as Midland Avenue CI, MA, MACI, Midland CI, or Midland), formerly Midland Avenue Secondary School and initially known as Central Collegiate Institute is a Toronto District School Board-owned alternative learning complex in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada consisting of Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies (SCAS), South East Year Round Alternative Centre (SEYRAC), and Caring and Safe Schools Midland program. This three-storey public high school opened in 1962 for the Scarborough Board of Education until its closure in 2000 due to low enrolment. Throughout its existence, Midland's academic and athletic programs were flexible, relevant, and student-centred with courses designed to include various instructional techniques catering to its diverse population. Its facilities include a greater auditorium, swimming pool, rounded cafeteria and larger technical shops. Midland's motto is Semper ad Optimum which translates to "Always strive for the best".

Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies (SCAS), formerly Tabor Park Vocational School is an alternative and adult high school serving Scarborough, a part of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It operates under the Toronto District School Board and was previously part of the pre-amalgamated board, Scarborough Board of Education prior to merger. Originated at Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in 1977 as the re-entry program, the school opened in 1986 at the Tabor Park building and as of 2010, the school is located in the campus of the former Midland Avenue Collegiate Institute sharing with the fellow schools, South East Year Round Alternative Centre and Caring and Safe Schools Alternative Program Area C. SCAS is located on Midland Avenue south of Eglinton Avenue East.

Scarborough Junction (also known as Kennedy Park) is a small neighbourhood in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bordered by Birchmount Road, Brimley Road, Eglinton Avenue, and St. Clair Avenue. Scarbrough Junction has an approximated population of 20,000. The population consists of 1/4 Caucasian, 2/4 Asian (South and East) and 1/4 other (Black, Latino, etc.)

Golden Mile is a surface light rail transit (LRT) stop under construction on Line 5 Eglinton, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. It will be located in the Golden Mile neighbourhood at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Warden Avenue. It is scheduled to open in 2022.The stop is located in the middle of Eglinton Avenue East at its intersection with Warden Avenue. The stop has far-side platforms with access to each platform from the adjacent north/south pedestrian crossing at the signalized intersection. This staggered configuration means the westbound platform will be located west of the intersection, and the eastbound platform will be situated east of the intersection.During the planning stages for Line 5 Eglinton, the station was given the working name "Warden" the same as for the pre-existing Warden station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth. On November 23, 2015, a report to the TTC Board recommended giving a unique name to each station in the subway system (including Line 5 Eglinton). Thus, this stop was renamed to "Golden Mile" after the neighbourhood where it is located. Note that three other stops west of this stop are also in the Golden Mile neighbourhood: O'Connor, Pharmacy and Hakimi Lebovic.

The Golden Mile is a commercial district in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Situated along Eglinton Avenue East, east of Victoria Park Avenue, it was one of Canada's first model industrial parks. The original Golden Mile of Industry ran along Eglinton from Pharmacy Avenue east to Birchmount Road. The area was farmland prior to World War II with settlement by Scottish immigrants beginning in the 1820s (notably by the likes of the McCowans and Thompsons) and prior to settlements by Europeans in the late 18th century was mostly covered by forests.
