Foscot is a hamlet in the Cotswolds in the Evenlode valley. It falls within Idbury civil parish, in the West Oxfordshire District, about 5 miles (8.0 km) southeast of Stow-on-the-Wold in neighbouring Gloucestershire, and 1.7 miles (2.7 km) from Kingham. It is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Foscot is in the ecclesiastical parish of St Leonard, Bledington and is socially integrated with the adjacent Bledington village. The major landowner is Loudham Estates, based at Foxcote Farm. Foxholes, a woodland nature reserve sloping down to the River Evenlode with year-round colour and wildlife interest, is adjacent to Foscot. It is noted for its spring bluebells and abundant bat and bird life and is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.

Kingham is a village and civil parish in the Cotswolds about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 913.

Bledington is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England, about four miles south-east of Stow-on-the-Wold and six miles south-west of Chipping Norton. The population of the civil parish in 2014 was estimated to be 490.Bledington lies in the Evenlode valley, and forms part of the Gloucestershire–Oxfordshire boundary and stands on the Oxfordshire Way. There are deposits of alluvial soil, but most of the land is heavy clay, the parish being almost entirely on the Lower Lias. The village is built round a rectangle of streets, with the church in the south corner, and the green, with most of the older houses near it, on the northwest side. The southern part of the village has been developed extensively since 1920. The village green is a large unenclosed stretch of grass, with a stream running through it. The parish church dates from the 12C and was extended in the 15C. The village has a county primary school which dates from the late 19C. It has a pub, The Kings Head, on the village green. Its former shop and post office have long since closed, but a new community run shop was opened in 2019 Bledington Community Shop. The village hall, which stands near the centre of the village, is a converted 18C barn of rubble with a Cotswold stone roof. A trust was formed and the building was bought in 1920 for the use of the people of Bledington and Foscot hamlet. It was renovated and re-roofed in 2016.

Bould Wood is a 58.2-hectare (144-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Shipton-under-Wychwood in Oxfordshire. An area of 23 hectares (57 acres) is Foxholes nature reserve, which is managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.This site is mainly ancient semi-natural woodland, but it also has two streams, a pond and a wet meadow. The lower plant flora is diverse. Fungi include tricholoma toadstools and Cudoniella clavus, while there are lichens such as Cladonia polydactyla, Catillaria prasina and Graphis scripta.

Daylesford House is a Georgian country house near Daylesford, Gloucestershire (formerly in Worcestershire until 1931), on the north bank of the River Evenlode near the border with Oxfordshire. It is about 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Stow-on-the-Wold and 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Chipping Norton. The village of Daylesford lies nearby to the west, Adlestrop to the north, Cornwell to the east, and Kingham to the south, The house has been listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England since 1960, and its gardens were subsequently Grade II* listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens in 1986.The grounds include an orangery in late 18th century Gothick style, which has a separate Grade I listing. The stable block and ice house in the grounds are also separately Grade II listed.
