The Weaver Viaduct, in the north of Cheshire on the M56, is one of the longest concrete viaducts on the British motorway network.

Rocksavage or Rock Savage was an Elizabethan mansion in Cheshire, England, which served as the primary seat of the Savage family. The house lies in ruins, at SJ526799 in Clifton (now a district of Runcorn). Built in the 1560s for Sir John Savage, Rocksavage was one of the great Elizabethan houses of the county, a leading example of the Elizabethan prodigy house; in 1674, it was the second largest house in Cheshire. James I visited in 1617. The house was abandoned after it passed into the Cholmondeley family early in the 18th century, and by 1782 only ruins remained. Rocksavage comprised a sandstone quadrangle around a central courtyard, with paired octagonal towers flanking the main entrance. Only fragments of its garden and orchard walls are still standing; they are listed as Grade II.

Floodbrook Clough is an ancient woodland and site of special scientific interest which cuts through the centre of the Beechwood area of Runcorn, Cheshire, England. Located in a steep valley around the Flood Brook stream, it is one of Cheshire's best examples of clough woodland on keuper marl. It covers a total area of 5.35 hectares (13.22 acres). It is owned and managed by the Woodland Trust.

Beechwood is a residential area of Runcorn, England. It was designated as part of Runcorn's New Town in 1964 and allocated for private housing in the masterplan of 1967.Beechwood is served by the A5126 road to the north, and the A533 road to the east, the A557 road to the west, and the M56 motorway to the south. Floodbrook Clough, an ancient woodland and site of special scientific interest, cuts through the centre of the community. It is one of Cheshire's best examples of clough woodland on keuper marl. The small suburban community features Beechwood Primary School, a nursery, a private community centre, a pub, a public swimming pool, and a small Spar shop. Slightly further afield is the ecumenical church of St Marks, which is shared by both Anglicans and Methodists, as well as Hill View Primary School and a playground. The wooded area of Beech Wood is managed by the Woodland Trust.

Halton Curve (now formally known as the Frodsham Single Line) is a short bi-directional railway line which links the Chester–Warrington line to the Weaver Junction–Liverpool line within the borough of Halton, Cheshire. The route, which is 1 mile 54 chains (2.7 km) long, is between Frodsham Junction (north of Frodsham) and Halton Junction (south of Runcorn). After having no regular services for more than four decades, the line was upgraded and reopened in 2019 by Network Rail, enabling hourly passenger trains between Chester and Liverpool. The route, which was opened by the London and North Western Railway on 1 May 1873, created a direct link between the industries in North Wales and the factories of south Lancashire and the Port of Liverpool. Passenger services also used the route. However, the Great Depression in the 1930s began the steady decline in heavy industry and manufacturing in southern Lancashire. Although the route escaped the Beeching cuts in the 1960s, all passenger services were withdrawn by the mid 1970s. The double-tracked line was reduced to a single track in the early 1990s. A concerted campaign was launched to improve services on the line after it was nearly closed by Network Rail in the early 2000s. In 2014 work began to upgrade the line so that it could be reopened for daily rail services. In May 2019, the first regular passenger trains restarted between Liverpool Lime Street and Chester via Liverpool South Parkway, Runcorn, Frodsham and Helsby.

Rocksavage Power Station is an 800 MWe gas-fired power station in Runcorn, off the A557, at the junction of the River Weaver and River Mersey, and near junction 12 of the M56.

Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic and Church of England Academy, formerly St Chad's Catholic and Church of England Academy, is a coeducational secondary school in Runcorn, Cheshire, England.St Chad's was founded as a Roman Catholic voluntary aided school in 1976. After Phase II of a new building programme costing £7.4 million began in the summer of 2008, the school reopened in 2009 as a joint-faith Roman Catholic and Church of England voluntary aided school administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Church of England Diocese of Chester. An extension to the schools science block was constructed in 2013. Some areas of the school are available to hire for community sports facilities.In March 2022 St Chad's Catholic and Church of England High School converted to academy status and was renamed St Chad's Catholic and Church of England Academy. The school is now sponsored by the St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust, but continues to be under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Church of England Diocese of Chester. In October 2023, the school was renamed Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic and Church of England Academy. The school has links with its partner school in Tongling in Anhui Province, China with trips with staff and students being made regularly between the two schools. The school also has links with St Mary's Boys Secondary School in Nyeri, Kenya, with regular trips being made between the two schools. It has hosted fundraising events to help support the Kenyan school, which gives young people who live in poverty a chance to get a better education.

The Southgate Estate was a modernist public housing project located in Runcorn New Town (Cheshire, England) and completed in 1977. The estate was designed by James Stirling, and comprised 1,500 residential units intended to house 6,000 people. The estate was demolished between 1990 and 1992 and replaced with another housing development, known as Hallwood Park, based around more traditional design principles.

Halton is a constituency in Cheshire, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1997 by Derek Twigg of the Labour Party.Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be abolished, with the majority, comprising the areas to the north of the River Mersey (Widnes), being included in the new constituency of Widnes and Halewood, to be first contested at the next general election. Areas to the south of the river (Runcorn) will be included in the new constituency of Runcorn and Helsby.

Halton railway station served Halton, Cheshire, England, on the Birkenhead Joint Railway. It was closed in 1952.

Frodsham railway station serves the town of Frodsham, Cheshire, England. The station is managed by Transport for Wales. It was opened along with the line in 1850 and the station building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. This was restored in 2012 and is in private ownership. The station is unstaffed, however the North Cheshire Rail Users Group have "adopted" the station and work on a voluntary basis to keep it looking clean and tidy.

The Heath School is a coeducational secondary school located in Runcorn in the English county of CheshireFormerly a community school administered by Halton Borough Council, the school converted to academy status in September 2012. It continues to coordinate with the council for admissions. In April 2016, planning permission was sought for a complete rebuild of the school on the same site. The work was completed in January 2018.The Heath School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils.
