Roaring River (Missouri)

Chain-O-Lakes is a village in Roaring River Township of southeast Barry County, Missouri, United States. The population was 126 at the 2010 census.

As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 193.It is located on Missouri Route 86 near Table Rock Lake. Eagle Rock has a state campground and public marina. A post office called Eagle Rock has been in operation since 1886. The community takes its name from a nearby rock formation.The Eagle Rock Retreat Center, home of the Assembly of God youth organizations Royal Rangers National Training Center, is located approximately 4 miles southwest of Eagle Rock.

Holiday Island is a 4,500-acre planned retirement and vacation community in Carroll County, Arkansas, United States. Formerly an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP), it voted to incorporate in November 2020. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,533. Holiday Island is located in the Ozark Mountains on Table Rock Lake, near Eureka Springs, Arkansas and only an hour from Branson, Missouri, Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Bentonville, Arkansas. Community growth has been fueled by the expansion of the corporate giants headquartered in Northwest Arkansas (including Walmart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt), the entertainment attractions in Eureka Springs and Branson, the visitor traffic from the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Pea Ridge National Military Park, and Roaring River State Park, and the influence of the state's largest University, the University of Arkansas.

Golden is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southeastern Barry County, Missouri, United States. It is approximately 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Cassville. It is located south of Table Rock Lake and one mile north of Missouri Route 86 on Highway J. At the 2020 census, Golden had a population of 275.A post office called Golden has been in operation since 1876. The community most likely was named after the local Golden family.

The Ozark Southern Stone quarry is a quarry located in Elk Ranch, Arkansas, rich in dolomite limestone. It began in 1883 as Eureka Stone Co., and remained open until the Great Depression. It became Ozark Southern stone in 2006. Its stone has been used in building in the northwest Arkansas region, in Kansas City, Missouri, and elsewhere. It was used in the restoration of the Old Main building at the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Beaver is a town in Carroll County, Arkansas, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 67. The community is located on the White River at the western limits of Table Rock Lake deep in the Ozark Mountains. Located north of Eureka Springs, the small town has been featured in movies for its picturesque scenery. The town is known for the Beaver Bridge, a two-panel suspension bridge over the White River listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Beaver Bridge in Beaver, Arkansas, is a historic one-lane suspension bridge carrying Arkansas Highway 187 over the White River at Table Rock Lake. Built in 1949 by the Pioneer Construction Company, the structure is the only suspension bridge open to traffic in Arkansas. The Beaver Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Butler Creek is a stream in the U.S. states of Arkansas and Missouri. It is a tributary of the White River. The stream headwaters are in Barry County, Missouri at 36°31′26″N 93°56′18″W and its confluence with the White River in Carroll County, Arkansas is at 36°28′15″N 93°46′31″W. The stream source is southeast of Seligman and it flows east to northeast for about 3.5 miles then turns southeast for about three miles to enter Arkansas north of Busch. East of Busch, the stream crosses under Arkansas Route 187. The stream runs parallel to that road for about 2.5 miles to its confluence with the White River just upstream from Beaver.Butler Creek was named after the local Butler family.

Arrow Point is a village in White River Township of southeast Barry County, Missouri, United States. The population was 75 at the 2020 census.

Gaskins is an extinct town in Carroll County, in the U.S. state of Arkansas.The community site is located on Arkansas Route 23 about 2.5 miles north of Eureka Springs. The community was on Leatherwood Creek and the Gaskins Switch Cemetery is just north of the location.The community once had a depot on the Eureka Springs Railway.
