The Ferens Art Gallery is an art gallery in the English city of Kingston upon Hull. The site and money for the gallery were donated to the city by Thomas Ferens, after whom it is named. The architects were S. N. Cooke and E. C. Davies. Opened in 1927, it was restored and extended in 1991. The gallery features an extensive array of both permanent collections and roving exhibitions. Past temporary exhibitions included features on Queen Victoria and Hull – part of the Royal Collection Trust touring show (2022–2023), Ian McKeever RA (2019), Francis Bacon (2017) and David Remfry RA (1975 and 2005). Among the exhibits is a portrait of an unknown woman by Frans Hals. The building also houses a children's gallery and a popular cafe. The building is now a Grade II listed building.In 2009, an exhibition and live performance took place at the venue, to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the opening of The New Adelphi Club, a live music venue less than 2 miles (3 km) north.In 2013, the gallery acquired a fourteenth-century painting by Pietro Lorenzetti, depicting Christ Between Saints Paul and Peter. The acquisition was jointly funded by the Ferens Endowment Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Art Fund.In May 2015, it was announced that the gallery would get a £4.5 million makeover to enable it to host the Turner Prize in 2017 as part of the UK City of Culture programme. The gallery reopened on 13 January 2017. On 8 February 2017, Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited the gallery to view the completed refurbishment.In January 2018, Hull City Council announced that a record 519,000 visits were made to the gallery during 2017.

The Hull Maritime Museum is a museum in Kingston upon Hull, England, that explores the seafaring heritage of the city and its environs. The museum's stated mission is "To preserve and make available the maritime history of Hull and east Yorkshire through artefacts and documents".

Hull City Hall is a civic building located in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Located in Queen Victoria Square in the city centre, it is a Grade II* listed building.

The Co-op Mosaic is a mural in Kingston upon Hull, England, designed by the artist Alan Boyson. Commissioned by the Hull and East Riding Co-operative Society for the exterior of the end of their new store, the mural is sited at the junction of Jameson Street and King Edward Street, now a mainly pedestrianised area created for the City of Culture 2017. The building was erected by 1963. Depicting three stylised trawlers, it commemorates Hull's fishing fleet.The mural is made from 4,224 panels, each 1 foot (30 cm) square and each containing 225 Tesserae – cubes of Italian glass – using 1,061,775 in all. The panels are fixed to a 66 by 64 feet (20 by 20 m) curved concrete screen attached to the wall.The mural was manufactured to Boyson's design by Richards Tiles Ltd, subsequently part of Johnsons Tiles Ltd. It was constructed by A. Andrews & Sons Marbles and Tiles. Included in the mural is the Latin text res per industriam prosperae ('prosperity through industry'). It also includes the letters "H U L L" in the ships' masts. These appear fortuitously and not through deliberate design.After the Co-operative Society vacated the building in 1969, it was occupied by BHS from 1970 to 2016.In May 2007 the mural was locally listed by Hull City Council, who described it as a "superb example of modern public art". The council subsequently pledged to retain the mural when the site is developed. In November 2016 a proposal by Hull Civic Society to give the mural statutory protection at a national level was rejected. The society announced its intention to appeal against the decision. The mural was placed on the National Heritage List for England on 21 November 2019 at Grade II.

Princes Quay is a shopping centre in the heart of Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The centre is unusual in that it is built on stilts over Prince's Dock after which it is named. It was opened in 1991.

St Charles Borromeo is a parish in the Diocese of Middlesbrough and is the oldest post-reformation Catholic parish church in the city of Kingston upon Hull, England. The church is a Grade I listed building, having been upgraded from a Grade II* in March 2016.

The Earl de Grey is a pub (public house), constructed in the early 19th century in the centre of Kingston upon Hull, England. The building is three storeys high, it had a slate roof and has a green and cream-coloured fascia (tiling) covering the front of the ground floor, which was added around 1913, decorated with Ionoic pilasters. The first records of the pub appear in 1931 when it was originally named Junction Dock Tavern; it was renamed in the 1860s after the Earl de Grey at the time, George Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon. The Earl de Grey was popular with seafarers, being located close to the docks and in what was at the time Hull's red-light district. The faience ground floor was likely added around 1913, when the interior was renovated by the then owner, Bentley's Yorkshire Brewery. The exterior of the building was given grade II listed status for its historic value in 1994. Since then it has had extended periods of closure and disuse. According to a local legend: in the 1980s the pub was home to two parrots Cha Cha and Ringo. A burglar broke in and fearing that the parrots would alert the pub's landlord, stabbed Cha Cha to death. Following the ordeal Ringo then never spoke again. The two parrots are thought to be buried nearby. In 2018, property developer Wykeland announced that the Earl de Grey would be moved to make room for redevelopment of Castle Street. The Earl de Grey's new location is about 100 feet (30 m) from where it stood originally. The front of the building was disassembled and placed into storage in 2020. Reconstruction work began in January 2024 and is due to be completed in 2025, forming part of a restored Castle Street Chambers.

Whitefriargate is a pedestrianised street in the Old Town area of Kingston upon Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. During the 20th century, it was one of the main shopping streets in the city centre, but some of the major stores have closed down, which has been attributed to out of town shopping centres. However, the Street still provides a useful link to and from the old town of Hull. Whitefriargate has 33 listed buildings according to Historic England, and was notable for the Beverley Gate at the west end of the street, which was the place of execution of Robert Constable in 1537. Over a hundred years later in 1642, the gate was closed to King Charles I by John Hotham on the order of Parliament, which provided a catalyst for the First English Civil War.

The Spurn Lightship (LV No. 12) is a lightvessel (i.e. a ship used as a lighthouse), previously anchored in Hull Marina in the British city of Kingston upon Hull, England. It was relocated to a shipyard in October 2021 for restoration, prior to becoming a display together with the Arctic Corsair. The ship was built in 1927 and served for 48 years as a navigation aid in the approaches of the Humber Estuary, where it was stationed 4+1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) east of Spurn Point. The lightship was decommissioned in 1975 and bought/restored by Hull City Council in 1983 before being moved to Hull Marina as a museum in 1987. The museum closed in June 2018, in preparation for the vessel being relocated in September, to facilitate a footbridge being constructed over the adjacent A63. Initially it was expected that the museum would reopen in 2021 after undergoing conservation work and a relocation to a new position on the marina.

Queen's Gardens is a sequence of gardens in the centre of Kingston upon Hull, England. They are set out within a 9.75-acre (4 ha) area that until 1930 was filled with the waters of Queen's Dock. As the dock was not fully filled in, the gardens are largely below the level of the surrounding streets.

The Connexin Live (formerly Bonus Arena) is an indoor arena in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, near the Hull Marina. It opened in August 2018 and has hosted music, comedy, and sports events.
