East Hampshire is a local government district in Hampshire, England. Its council is based in the town of Petersfield, although the largest town is Alton. The district also contains the town of Bordon along with many villages and surrounding rural areas. Parts of the district lie within the South Downs National Park. The neighbouring districts are Havant, Winchester, Basingstoke and Deane, Hart, Waverley and Chichester.

Adhurst (also known as Adhurst St Mary) is a hamlet in Hampshire, United Kingdom. The settlement is within the civil parish of Steep, and is located approximately 1.3 miles (2.1 km) north-east of Petersfield. Lothian Bonham-Carter of the Bonham Carter family was born in the hamlet in 1858.

Churcher's College is an independent, fee-charging day school for girls and boys, founded in 1722. Churcher’s College is regarded as a leading private school in the south of England. The Senior School (ages 11–18) is in the market town of Petersfield, Hampshire with the Junior School and Nursery (ages 3–11) in nearby Liphook. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC). The College was founded in Petersfield in the 1720s by the will of Richard Churcher to educate local boys in the skills needed for service in the East India Company. The headmaster is Simon Williams who replaced Geoffrey Buttle in September 2004. Alumni are known as Old Churcherians or OCs.

The Harrow is a Grade II listed public house at Harrow Lane, Steep, Hampshire GU32 2DA.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.The Guardian calls it "one of Britain's timeless, rural watering holes", on a quiet country lane that becomes a footpath as it reaches a small stream by the pub, which dates back to the 16th century. English Heritage notes that the current building was built in the 18th century.

Nursted is a hamlet in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Buriton. It is 1.8 miles (2.7 km) southeast of Petersfield, on the B21466 road. The hamlet sits directly on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. The nearest railway station is Petersfield, 1.8 miles (2.7 km) northwest of the village.

Petersfield is a market town and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 15 miles (24 km) north of Portsmouth. The town has its own railway station on the Portsmouth Direct line, the mainline rail link connecting Portsmouth and London. Situated below the northern slopes of the South Downs, Petersfield lies wholly within the South Downs National Park.The town is on the crossroads of well-used north–south (formerly the A3 road which now bypasses the town) and east–west routes (today the A272 road) and it grew as a coach stop on the Portsmouth to London route. Petersfield is twinned with Barentin in France, and Warendorf in Germany.

St Peter's Church is the Anglican parish church in Petersfield, Hampshire, England. It is within the Diocese of Portsmouth. The ancient church, a Grade I listed building, is located in the centre of the town, on the south side of the Square. The architect Nikolaus Pevsner described it as "one of the most interesting churches in Hampshire",
