Braden River High School

Ward Lake, also known as Bill Evers Reservoir, is a 255-acre body of water in Manatee County, Florida, in the United States. It provides most of the water for the city of Bradenton and is a water feature in the Manatee River watershed.

Tara is an unincorporated area in Manatee County, Florida, United States. Tara is a planned community platted and constructed beginning in 1988 by Lake Lincoln LLC, (formerly Tara-Manatee Inc.), owned by William Higgs of Naples.

Lakewood Ranch High School in Manatee County, Florida, United States, was opened in 1998 in Bradenton, Florida. It is named after the master planned community it borders, Lakewood Ranch. In the 2011–2012 school year, Lakewood Ranch High School was awarded the two highest honors given by the Florida High School Athletic Association. The Mustangs placed first in the Academic Team Champions and the Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup, All Sports Award. Lakewood Ranch was the only public school in the State of Florida to win both awards. The school was in the news in 2015 when a teacher, Hollis Ann Morantes, was arrested on drug and child neglect charges after methamphetamine was found at her home in reach of her child. Morantes was placed on administrative leave and later resigned.

The Egbert Reasoner House (also known as Beth Salem) was an historic house located at 3004 53rd Avenue, East in Oneco, Florida. It was built in 1896 for Egbert Reasoner, a horticulturalist who was inducted into the initial 1980 class of "Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame" members. Reasoner and his brother founded Royal Palm Nurseries. He is credited with introducing the pink grapefruit to Florida. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Despite this, it was demolished in 2015.

The Braden River is a 21-mile (34 km) waterway that drains an 83-square-mile (210 km2) area watershed in west-central Florida and is the largest tributary of the Manatee River.

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is a private medical school and academic health center in Erie, Pennsylvania. LECOM has a Branch Campus in Bradenton, Florida. LECOM has Additional Locations in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and Elmira, New York. Founded in 1992, LECOM confers medical (D.O.), dental (DMD), podiatry (DPM), pharmacy (PharmD), as well as master's and academic doctoral degrees in the health sciences. With over 2,200 enrolled medical students, the College of Osteopathic Medicine at LECOM is the largest and most applied to medical school in the United States. In addition to traditional acceptance, the medical school offers early acceptance to qualified high school seniors and college underclassmen contingent upon pursuing BS/DO or BA/DO with affiliate universities.LECOM also operates one of the few accelerated three-year pharmacy programs in the country, and is one of 2 pharmacy schools in the country with a distance education program.LECOM is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Council on Podiatric Medical Education, and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

The complex is located in Bradenton, Florida, and serves as the site of the Pirates spring training workouts, while nearby LECOM Park (formerly known as McKechnie Field) is the site of the team's home spring training games.

Foxleigh is an unincorporated area in Manatee County, Florida, in the United States. Foxleigh was a 999-acre grove ranch located along Upper Manatee Road and off State Road 64 in northeastern Manatee County. It began as Eagle Fruit Farms, its more familiar name, and was operated by Eagle Fruit Company. Eagle Fruit Company In 1923, Sam Breadon (1876-1949), owner/president of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team entered into a partnership with William H. Anderson (1855-1938), a Cardinals stockholder to establish Eagle Fruit Company. Breadon was keen on farming and had recently chosen Bradenton as the spring training headquarters of the Cardinals. The partnership ended in 1934, when Breadon sustained a loss of $7,000 and subsequent time in court. In the end, the company was dissolved in 1935.Foxleigh Missouri-based Gertrude Fox made the ranch her private estate when she purchased it in 1939, renaming it “Foxleigh”. She ran a mink farm and was the author of books on fur making. Fox subsequently sold the property in 1945 to the Lee Company, and shortly after, a fire destroyed the farm. In 1948, the now 918-acre farm was put up for sale, and Eagle Fruit Farms, Inc. name was officially dissolved. A portion of the former ranch was sold off in 1952, for a planned dairy and cattle ranch. In 1968, a legal notice in the Bradenton Herald listed the property as abandoned. Eventually, the property was developed and is now part of the fast-growing northeastern Manatee County area. As of 2021, the site is occupied by the Gates Creek subdivision.

The Braden Castle Park Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on May 9, 1983) located in Bradenton, Florida. The district is bounded by the Manatee and Braden Rivers, Ponce DeLeon Street and Pelot Avenue. It contains 192 historic buildings and 3 structures. The historic district contains ruins of the 1850 Braden House, a house of tabby owned by Joseph Braden.
