The A337 road is a road in southern England that runs from the M27 motorway in Hampshire to Christchurch in Dorset.

The № 1 New Zealand General Hospital (1NZGH) was a World War I military hospital in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England. The hospital was established in June 1916, after moving from Abasseyeh in Egypt. It was operated by the Royal New Zealand Army Medical Corps. It had been the Lady Hardinge Hospital for Wounded Indian Soldiers.Two large hotels in the parish: the Balmer Lawn Hotel and Forest Park Hotel were taken over and became a part of the new hospital, they could each hold 200 beds. 1NZGH became the orthopaedic centre for the New Zealand Medical Service in Britain.On occasions during 1918 nearly 1,600 patients were accommodated at the hospital. Between 1916 and its closure 1919 the hospital cared for over 20,000 patients. Auckland Avenue and Auckland Place in Brockenhurst are named to commemorate the many New Zealanders who served at the Hospital during World War I.Saint Nicholas Churchyard has 106 graves of those who died from the war including 93 New Zealanders, three Indian and three unidentified Belgian civilians.

Boldre is a village and civil parish in the New Forest district of Hampshire, England. It is in the south of the New Forest National Park, above the broadening (estuary) of the Lymington River, two miles (3 km) north of Lymington. In the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 1,931, and in the 2011 census, 2,003. The parish has a few campsites and a tourist caravan site, along with visitor parking around its mixed woodland and heath hamlet of Norley Wood.

Balmer Lawn is the name of a large New Forest Lawn located in an amphitheatre of woodland in the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, England. It is just north of the village of Brockenhurst.The lawn comprises about 500 acre of open low land grazing frequented by Forest stock. The name of the area comes from a distortion of the historical name Palmers Water - reference “Comyn’s New Forest” of 1817. Palmers Water was in fact a small settlement which has long since disappeared but was located to east of the ford on the Brockenhurst to Beaulieu road. The water being the Lymington River which separates Brockenhurst and the small settlement of Balmerlawn on the south side of the grazing lawn. The lawn of course remained and over time Palmers became Balmer, perhaps aided by the local dialect. The river crossing (now Brockenhurst Bridge) on the south west corner of the lawn area is thought to have been recorded as a ford in Roman Times and also mentioned in the Domesday Book. Along with St Nicolas Church a mile further south on the hill overlooking the area.

Brockenhurst College is a large tertiary college situated in Brockenhurst, Hampshire. Co-educational since the 1920s, Brockenhurst College accepts students over the age of 16 or year 12 students, whichever occurs first due to safeguarding policies. The college has over 2,700 full-time students and over 8,000 part-time adult learners from as far and wide as The New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole, East Dorset, the Waterside area of Southampton, South Wiltshire, and the Isle of Wight. Brockenhurst College has been an accredited Investors in People since 1996, and in 2004 was awarded by the AoC Beacon Award and is also rated 'Good' by Ofsted.The types of courses the college provides are professional, vocational and AS/A Level courses, Foundation Degrees and Apprenticeships.

Brockenhurst railway station serves the village of Brockenhurst in Hampshire, England. It is located on the South West Main Line from London Waterloo to Weymouth. It is also the junction of the Lymington Branch Line with the main line. It is 92 miles 66 chains (149.4 km) down the line from Waterloo. It is managed and served by South Western Railway and it is also served by CrossCountry trains. The station was winner of the 2009 National Rail Award for best medium-sized station, with the judges stating they "were impressed by the standard of customer service, station presentation, initiative and innovation they observed, all of which ensure that the station provides a smooth, efficient and pleasant departure and arrival point for the travelling customer". The station was also winner of a National Cycling Award, for a system which informs passengers of where cycle spaces are on approaching trains, allowing them to speed boarding, and partnerships with local bike-hire firms.

Lymington River SSSI is a 34.8-hectare (86-acre) biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest along Lymington River and its tributaries between Lymington, Burley and Stoney Cross in Hampshire. HIghland Water is a Geological Conservation Review site and Ober Water is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I. Parts of the site are in The New Forest and Solent and Southampton Water Ramsar sites, and in The New Forest Special Protection Area.This site covers the river and its tributaries Highland Water, Ober Water and Mill Lawn Brook, and no other system in England shows such a rapid succession of plant communities in such a short stretch of river. Ober Water has a very unusual and diverse flora and several rare and protected species of dragonfly. Highland Water is important for illustrating fluvial processes in rivers in southern England which have not been subject to modification.

Shirley Holms Halt was a railway halt in the New Forest district of Hampshire. Opened in 1860 it was closed in 1888 with opening of Sway on the South West Main Line. Said to be one of the first halts in the country, Shirley Holms Halt consisted of a short unstaffed platform. Passengers from the halt had to signal to the engine driver if they wanted to board the train.

Brockenhurst Football Club is a football club based in Brockenhurst, near Lymington, in Hampshire, England. They are currently members of the Wessex League Premier Division and play at Grigg Lane.

Brockenhurst School, now Brockenhurst Church of England Primary School, is a former charity school in the English village of Brockenhurst, Hampshire. It was founded in 1752, funded by a legacy from Henry Thurston, a former coachman from the village.
