Waterloo is a small hamlet in Perth and Kinross, Scotland approximately 1⁄2 mile (800 metres) north of Bankfoot on the old A9.

Murthly House, also known as New Murthly Castle, was a substantial mansion in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, designed by James Gillespie Graham and demolished in 1949–50. It was said to be unrivalled in its beauty.

Caputh ( KAY-pəth) is a parish and village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It lies on the A984 Coupar Angus to Dunkeld road about 6 miles (10 kilometres) southeast of Dunkeld and 8 miles (13 kilometres) west of Coupar Angus.It stands on the River Tay.The parish includes the East Cult standing stones.A 120m wide cairn, known as Cairnmore, was removed to facilitate farming in the 19th century. Remains of an important Roman fort still exist nearby at Inchtuthill. Cleaven Dyke is near Meikleour in the same Parish and was long-thought to be Roman too, but is now regarded as being a substantial Neolithic cursus.Dunkeld was partly in Caputh parish until 1891.

Loch of the Lowes is a loch near Dunkeld in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The loch and the surrounding area are designated as a wildlife reserve, run by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. The loch is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as forming part of a Special Area of Conservation.The loch hosts a variety of wildlife, including a pair of breeding ospreys, red squirrels, otters and beavers. Wildfowl numbers peak in early winter with migrant greylag geese roosting on the loch. In addition, goldeneyes, mallards, goosanders, wigeons, teals, tufted ducks and great crested grebes can also be seen.

Birnam is a village in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is located 12 miles (19 km) north of Perth on the A9 road, the main tourist route through Perthshire, in an area of Scotland marketed as Big Tree Country. The village originated from the Victorian era with the coming of the railway in 1856, although the place and name is well known because William Shakespeare mentioned Birnam Wood in Macbeth: MACBETH: I will not be afraid of death and bane, till Birnam forest come to Dunsinane. Prior to the construction of the railway, the only substantial building on the site of the present village was the church of Little Dunkeld parish, which still stands in its ancient position within a graveyard within the village. Dunkeld, to whose monastery Kenneth MacAlpin, the first King of Scotland, moved the bones of St. Columba around the middle of the ninth century, and which is notable for its cathedral, lies on the opposite bank of the river.

Lady's Tree is a Scots pine on the banks of the Loch of the Lowes, Scotland. It was the roost of famous osprey 'Lady' for 24 years. In 2014, Lady's Tree was named Scotland's Tree of the Year.

The Perth Road drill hall is a former military installation on Perth Road in Birnam, Perth and Kinross, Scotland.

Dunkeld & Birnam railway station serves the town of Dunkeld and village of Birnam in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is located on the Highland Main Line, 15 miles 31 chains (24.8 km) north of Perth and is the first stop on the line north of there, before Pitlochry. Most services are operated by ScotRail, who also manage the station. LNER and Caledonian Sleeper also call some services here.

Birnam Arts is a multipurpose arts centre in Birnam, Perthshire, central Scotland. It is also known as the Birnam Arts and Conference Centre, and was originally named the Birnam Institute. It is a not for profit organisation owned by the community.

The Birnam Oak is an example of Sessile oak (Quercus petraea) at Birnam, Perth and Kinross, Scotland (grid reference NO032421). Sometimes known as Macbeth's oak, as it is a relic of Birnam Wood, mentioned in William Shakespeare's play, the tree is found in a strip of woodland on the south bank of the River Tay. The trunk is 5.5 metres (18 ft) wide and its large spreading branches have latterly been supported on a number of struts to prevent them from collapsing under their own weight. The exact age is unknown, but the girth suggests an age of around 600 years old which would mean it was already a mature tree at the time of Shakespeare's presumed visit to Perthshire in 1589. The tree is listed by Forestry and Land Scotland as one of Scotland's most famous oak trees.
