Bishop's Waltham (or Bishops Waltham) is a medieval market town situated at the source of the River Hamble in Hampshire, England. It has a foot in the South Downs National Park and is located at the midpoint of a long-established route between Winchester and Portsmouth. It is home to the ruins of Bishop's Waltham Palace, a Scheduled Ancient Monument under English Heritage management, and a well-preserved high street with many listed buildings which now house independent shops. Bishop's Waltham's long history includes a roll call of Medieval and Tudor kings and queens who visited the town to stay at the palace. The name of the town is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words: "wald" (forest) and "ham" (settlement).Modern day Bishop's Waltham has a population of over 6,723 and is the largest settlement in the Winchester district outside the city itself. It is home to an infant and junior school.

Dundridge Meadows is a 7.5-hectare (19-acre) Local Nature Reserve near Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire. It is owned by Hampshire County Council and managed by Hampshire County Council Countryside Service.These meadows are chalk grassland managed for hay. There are also two ponds, ancient woodlands and species-rich hedges. Flowering plants include cowslips and hayrattle.

Bishops Waltham railway station was a railway station in Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, England. The station was the terminus of the 3.75 mile branch line that connected to the main line at Botley railway station. It opened on 1 June 1863, and closed to passengers on 2 January 1933. After closure to freight in 1962 it was demolished in 1965 and the site is now a roundabout.

Bishops Waltham Branch LNR is a 1.6-hectare (4.0-acre) local nature reserve in Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire. It is owned and managed by Hampshire County Council.This site is a 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) footpath along the former railway line from Bishop's Waltham to Botley. The path is lined by trees such as oaks and field maples, and flowering plants including wood avens and herb robert.The King's Way and Pilgrims' Trail pass through the site.

Claylands is a 5.8-hectare (14-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire. It is owned by Hampshire County Council and managed by Hampshire Countryside Service.This former clay working has woodland, ponds, meadows and scrub. The ponds have populations of great crested newts. There are butterflies such as marbled white, common blue and green hairstreak.

The Church of St Barnabas is the Church of England parish church of Swanmore near Southampton in Hampshire, England. It was constructed in 1844 and is a grade II listed building. The church is under the ecclesiastic jurisdiction of the Diocese of Portsmouth and the Deanery of Bishop's Waltham.

Swanmore is a rural village and civil parish situated in the Meon Valley, Hampshire, England. It is very near to Bishop's Waltham. Swanmore was originally set up to provide homes for workers in local brickworks. As such, the houses in the village are mainly early and mid-Victorian brick buildings, although there are some older houses, especially in the hamlet of Upper Swanmore, which is located only 1/4 mile north of the main village. The village continued to thrive after the closure of these brickworks, and at one time had many shops and services in the village, however many of these closed with the advent of easier transport to nearby towns, but Swanmore does still have a village shop, post office, and hairdresser. Hill Place is a grade II listed Georgian country villa located in the parish.

Galley Down Wood is a 16.6-hectare (41-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Bishop's Waltham in Hampshire.This wood, which was planted with beech trees in around 1930, has a well developed beech flora. Flowering plants include bird's-nest orchid, white helleborine, greater butterfly-orchid, common spotted orchid and the nationally rare long-leaved helleborine.
