On 24 January 1994 a Cessna 425 crashed into Lake Constance with 5 people on board. 3 of them are confirmed killed, two are missing. The crash caused significant media attention due to a suspicion the aircraft might be transporting nuclear material which was later found untrue.

The Aach is a river in Arbon in Switzerland, formed by the confluence of two rivers, the Hegibach and the Feilebach, each about 9 kilometres (6 mi) long. It flows through the town of Arbon and after almost two kilometers flows into Lake Constance on the south of Arbon next to Steinach, shortly after it catches the Salbach. The link road Arbon-Landquart crosses the Aach. Built in 1910, the bridge over the river was completely renovated for the first time in April 2006, after more than 90 years.

Rorschach Hafen railway station (German: Bahnhof Rorschach Hafen) is a railway station in Rorschach, in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is located on the Lake line of Swiss Federal Railways. It is adjacent to a ferry terminal with service to Lindau and Wasserburg am Bodensee across Lake Constance. Rorschach Hafen is one of three stations within the municipality of Rorschach, along with Rorschach (the next station east on the Lake line) and Rorschach Stadt, approximately 400 metres (1,300 ft) to the south on the Rorschach–St. Gallen line.

It is one of three stations within the municipality of Rorschach, along with Rorschach (the next station east on the same line) and Rorschach Hafen, approximately 400 metres (1,300 ft) to the north on the shore of Lake Constance.

The Wahlkreis Rheintal (English: Rhine Valley) is a constituency (Wahlkreis) of the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland, formed under the new constitution of the canton on 10 June 2001. It consists largely of the former districts of Oberrheintal and Unterrheintal. The Wahlrkreis covers almost all the region of Vogtei Rheintal and later Rheintal District.
