Rorschach Stadt railway station

Rorschach Hafen railway station (German: Bahnhof Rorschach Hafen) is a railway station in Rorschach, in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen. It is located on the Lake line of Swiss Federal Railways. It is adjacent to a ferry terminal with service to Lindau and Wasserburg am Bodensee across Lake Constance. Rorschach Hafen is one of three stations within the municipality of Rorschach, along with Rorschach (the next station east on the Lake line) and Rorschach Stadt, approximately 400 metres (1,300 ft) to the south on the Rorschach–St. Gallen line.

Rorschach is a constituency (Wahlkreis) in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Wahlkreis (SFOS number 1722) has been established on June 10, 2001, totalling 40,454 inhabitants on an area of 50.37 km². Rorschach is the capital of the Wahlkreis.

On 24 January 1994 a Cessna 425 crashed into Lake Constance with 5 people on board. 3 of them are confirmed killed, two are missing. The crash caused significant media attention due to a suspicion the aircraft might be transporting nuclear material which was later found untrue.
