Bingham railway station serves the market town of Bingham, Nottinghamshire, England. The station is 8½ miles (14 km) east of Nottingham on the Nottingham-Skegness Line. The station is operated and served by East Midlands Railway.

East Bridgford is a village and civil parish in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, east of the city of Nottingham. It had a population of 1,814 at the 2011 census. The village adjoins the south bank of the River Trent, opposite the village of Gunthorpe. It is on the Trent Valley Way. East Bridgford's an annual village show is run by the village Horticultural Society, established in 1864, and held every Feast Week.

Music groups have visited to and from the twin towns, and a beer festival is held in Bingham every year.

Bingham was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from the Bingham rural sanitary district. It took in the parish of Gamston from Basford Rural District in 1935, and lost the parish of Edwalton to West Bridgford. The district continued until 1974 when under the Local Government Act 1972 it was abolished, going to form part of the Rushcliffe district.

Newton is a hamlet and civil parish in the Rushcliffe district, in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It is located 1 mile (1.6 km) south-west of East Bridgford and about 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of the River Trent, close to the junction of the A46 Fosse Way and the A6079. RAF Newton is a disused airfield immediately to the south of Main Street. It opened in July 1940 and closed in 2000. The hangars and other buildings are now used by a number of businesses within the Newton Commercial Centre. Newton Mill was a wooden post mill built before 1855. It ceased work c. 1920 and the buck was dismantled c. 1952. Some parts, including a stone neck bearing, were donated to the Science Museum in London. The brick roundhouse now belongs to the Crown.

Royal Air Force station Newton or more simply RAF Newton (ICAO: EGXN) is a former Royal Air Force station located 7 miles (11 km) east of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and 10.7 miles (17.2 km) south west of Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, England. It was used briefly as a bomber base for squadrons to re-equip after the Battle of France and then as a flying training school during the Second World War and beyond until 2000.

Saxondale is a small hamlet and civil parish in the Rushcliffe borough of Nottinghamshire, England, situated just off the A52 road near to its junction with the A46 road at the Saxondale roundabout, between the settlements of Bingham and Radcliffe on Trent. There is evidence of an Anglo-Saxon fort with earthworks visible from the main road. The village is just south of the Nottingham to Grantham railway line where there is still evidence of a spur, known as the Barnstone branch, from the former Saxondale Junction through present-day Bingham to Melton Mowbray. The hamlet is close to the residential area of Upper Saxondale, a redevelopment of the former Saxondale Hospital site.
