Villeneuve (French pronunciation: [vilnœv] (listen)) is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Aigle. As of December 2018, it had a population of 5771.

The Île de Peilz (Peilz Island) is a minute island at the eastern end of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, close to Villeneuve, Vaud. Measuring a few dozen square meters and featuring a monumental plane tree, it is the smallest and the only natural island in the lake. Its history is unclear, but it was built up in its current form in the 18th century. It has left cultural traces in the works of Lord Byron and Hans Christian Andersen, as well as in local legend. More recently, it has become a popular subject of social media photographs.

Chillon Castle (French: Château de Chillon) is an island castle located on Lake Geneva (Le Léman), south of Veytaux in the canton of Vaud. It is situated at the eastern end of the lake, on the narrow shore between Montreux and Villeneuve, which gives access to the Alpine valley of the Rhône. Chillon is amongst the most visited medieval castles in Switzerland and Europe. Successively occupied by the House of Savoy then by the Bernese from 1536 until 1798, it now belongs to the State of Vaud and is classified as a Swiss Cultural Property of National Significance. The Fort de Chillon, its modern counterpart, is hidden in the steep side of the mountain.

The Fort de Chillon is a twentieth-century fortification directly adjacent to the medieval Château de Chillon on the edge of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The fort secures the road and rail lines that pass along the lakeshore running east from Lausanne to the mountainous interior of Switzerland. The position is an advanced work protecting the approaches to Fortress Saint-Maurice, part of the Swiss National Redoubt. Deactivated as a military post in 1995, it is privately owned and has been converted into a museum.

The Viaduc de Chillon is a viaduct in Switzerland located in Veytaux to the southeast of Montreux. Built by the Consortium des Viaducs de Chillon between 1966 and 1969, it takes its name from the Château de Chillon which lies downhill on the shores of Lac Léman. The viaduct comprises two structures 12 metres (39 ft) wide carrying the east and westbound lanes of the Swiss A9 autoroute.The choice of a viaduct was dictated by the steeply-sloping terrain, the need to avoid extensive deforestation and the esthetic implications of the proximity of the Château de Chillon. A tunnel was considered for the site, but was rejected to keep costs down. The bridge uses prefabricated concrete parts, assembled from a crane spanning overhead from pier to pierThe two viaducts span a total of 2,150 metres (7,050 ft) at a height of 100 metres (330 ft) above the lake. The two structures are staggered by several metres in height. The supporting piers are between 3 and 45 metres (148 ft) high and are separated by spans of 92 metres (302 ft), 98 metres (322 ft)} or 104 metres (341 ft). At the northern end of the viaduct, the road enters the Glion Tunnel. The southern end of the viaduct ends on the heights of Villeneuve. The viaduct offers an expansive view of Lac Léman, the Chablais, and Haute-Savoie on the opposite side of the lake.

Veytaux-Chillon railway station (French: Gare de Veytaux-Chillon) is a railway station in the municipality of Veytaux, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Simplon line of Swiss Federal Railways.

Veytaux is a municipality in the district of Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. The Chateau of Chillon provides a view of the entire Lake of Geneva located in Avenue de Chillon.

The Pharmacy of the Eastern Vaud Hospitals is an inter-hospital pharmacy constituted as a nonprofit organization on 1 January 1984 by seven hospitals in the eastern part of the canton of Vaud, and considered of public interest.In the canton of Vaud, the regional hospitals have created a total of three similar pharmacies to supply them with medicines and provide a local pharmaceutical assistance. Following the creation of the Pharmacy of the Eastern Vaud Hospitals, the Pharmacie Interhospitalière de la Côte in Morges was created in 1996, and then the Pharmacie des Hôpitaux du Nord Vaudois et de la Broye in 2011 in Yverdon-les-Bains.

The Glion Tunnel is a two-gallery vehicular tunnel running underneath Montreux in Switzerland. It carries autoroute A9, which links the Vaud canton to the Valais, and was placed in service in November 1970. The tunnel is 1,350 metres (4,430 ft) long, 9 metres (30 ft) wide and 7.5 metres (25 ft) high. Between 1970 and 2000, traffic through the tunnel increased from 8,800 vehicles per day to 50,000, with 80,000 vehicles per day at times.During 2004-2005 the tunnels were renovated to bring them into conformity with the recommendations of the Tunnel Task Force, whose report was published in May 2000. The old tunnels were dark and did not conform to modern safety standards. Work was performed on one tunnel at a time, with traffic diverted through the other gallery. The construction resulted in major delays.

Surval Montreux is an international all girls boarding school in Montreux, Switzerland.The school was renamed to Surval Montreux in 2012 after it was bought by Bellevue Education. The parent company is Bellevue Education International Limited. Bellevue bought the school as part of acquisitions driven by funding derived largely from Tarek Obaid, the founder of the oil company PetroSaudi, which has been implicated in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal.Bellevue Education was acquired by GEMS Education in 2018, and is a UK and European subsidiary of the Group. In 2019, CVC acquired a 30% stake in GEMS Education, which also includes its stake in Bellevue Education.

Montreux Business University (MBU) is a private school located in Montreux, Vaud, at the foot of the Alps and on the shores of Lake Geneva, in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. MBU provides a range of on-site programs: Bachelor's, Master's, MBA, Executive MBA, DBA (Doctor of Business Administration), it also conducts courses through online studies. All courses are conducted in English by international and multicultural faculty.
