Surval Montreux is an international all girls boarding school in Montreux, Switzerland.The school was renamed to Surval Montreux in 2012 after it was bought by Bellevue Education. The parent company is Bellevue Education International Limited. Bellevue bought the school as part of acquisitions driven by funding derived largely from Tarek Obaid, the founder of the oil company PetroSaudi, which has been implicated in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal.Bellevue Education was acquired by GEMS Education in 2018, and is a UK and European subsidiary of the Group. In 2019, CVC acquired a 30% stake in GEMS Education, which also includes its stake in Bellevue Education.

The A9 motorway, a motorway in western Switzerland, is a divided highway connecting from Ballaigues (in northwest) to southwestern Switzerland. It is part of the National Road N9.It is double-tracked as a divided highway (directionally separated) in most sections. The N9/A9 runs from Ballaigues on the French border via Vevey, Sion, Brig on the Simplon Pass up to Gondo on the Italian border. The line Sierre-Gamsen is still under construction and not passable. The construction of this 31-kilometre (19 mi) line will cost 2270 million CHF: it is funded at 4% by the Canton of Valais and at 96% by the Swiss federal government.

The Montreux–Glion–Rochers-de-Naye railway line is an electrically operated rack railway in Switzerland with a track gauge of 800 mm (2 ft 7+1⁄2 in). The line connects the resort of Montreux, on the shores of Lake Geneva, with the summit of the Rochers de Naye mountain. The line operates via the village of Glion, on the mountainside above Montreux, where it connects with the Territet–Glion funicular.The line was originally built as two separate lines by two different companies, the Chemin de fer Glion–Rochers-de-Naye (GN) and the Chemin de fer Montreux–Glion (MGI). Today, the line is owned and operated by Transports Montreux–Vevey–Riviera. Since 2017, the line is operated with original Belle Epoque carriages preserved and restored by the company Montreux-Oberland Bernois (MOB).

Territet railway station (French: Gare de Territet) is a railway station in the locality of Territet, within the municipality of Montreux, in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Simplon line of Swiss Federal Railways. The station is across the street from the valley station of the Territet–Glion funicular railway. Funiculaire Territet–Mont Fleuri was closed in 1992.

The Viaduc de Chillon is a viaduct in Switzerland located in Veytaux to the southeast of Montreux. Built by the Consortium des Viaducs de Chillon between 1966 and 1969, it takes its name from the Château de Chillon which lies downhill on the shores of Lac Léman. The viaduct comprises two structures 12 metres (39 ft) wide carrying the east and westbound lanes of the Swiss A9 autoroute.The choice of a viaduct was dictated by the steeply-sloping terrain, the need to avoid extensive deforestation and the esthetic implications of the proximity of the Château de Chillon. A tunnel was considered for the site, but was rejected to keep costs down. The bridge uses prefabricated concrete parts, assembled from a crane spanning overhead from pier to pierThe two viaducts span a total of 2,150 metres (7,050 ft) at a height of 100 metres (330 ft) above the lake. The two structures are staggered by several metres in height. The supporting piers are between 3 and 45 metres (148 ft) high and are separated by spans of 92 metres (302 ft), 98 metres (322 ft)} or 104 metres (341 ft). At the northern end of the viaduct, the road enters the Glion Tunnel. The southern end of the viaduct ends on the heights of Villeneuve. The viaduct offers an expansive view of Lac Léman, the Chablais, and Haute-Savoie on the opposite side of the lake.

The Territet–Glion funicular railway (French: Chemin de fer funiculaire Territet–Glion) is a funicular in Switzerland, which runs between the Territet and Glion suburbs of the town of Montreux. At its upper terminus, the funicular connects with the Montreux–Glion–Rochers-de-Naye railway line. what was the lower terminus of the Chemin de fer Glion-Rochers-de-Naye (GN) mountain railway, which opened in 1892. This later line was joined, in 1909, in an end on junction at Glion with the newly constructed Chemin de fer Montreux-Glion (MGl).

The Fort de Chillon is a twentieth-century fortification directly adjacent to the medieval Château de Chillon on the edge of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The fort secures the road and rail lines that pass along the lakeshore running east from Lausanne to the mountainous interior of Switzerland. The position is an advanced work protecting the approaches to Fortress Saint-Maurice, part of the Swiss National Redoubt. Deactivated as a military post in 1995, it is privately owned and has been converted into a museum.
