Swindon Town railway station was on the Midland and South Western Junction Railway at Swindon in Wiltshire. The station was sited in the Old Town area about one-and-a-half miles from the Great Western Railway's Swindon Junction.

Christ Church is a grade II* listed church in Cricklade Street, Swindon, Wiltshire, England. It was built in 1851 to a design by George Gilbert Scott. The church is one of two major buildings in Old Town, the other being the old town hall, only a few minutes walk away. Christ church is also a part of a parish, the other church to this parish is St Mary's, a small church near Commonweal School. The interior of the building was remodeled in 2017 to provide better access, a gas heating system and LED lighting. The nave pews were retained and secured with an innovative fixing system allowing them to be removed on occasion to provide more space for large events. The church grounds also house a modern Community Centre which hosts a wide variety of events and activities.

The Swindon Arts Centre is situated at the heart of Swindon's Old Town on Devizes Road. Apsley House is a 19th-century house in Swindon, England, standing on the north side of Bath Road in what is now known as the Old Town.It was built c.1830–1840 and faced in ashlar Bath stone. The house has two storeys at the front and three at the rear; a modernist extension was added to the right in the late 20th century. The house was for a long time the home and business headquarters of the Toomer family, who ran a local coke and coal business. From 1930 until 2021 it housed the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery but the museum vacated the building and the house was put on sale when its owners, Swindon Borough Council, decided it was no longer suitable and required major repairs.Apsley House was designated as Grade II listed in 1951.

Queens Park is a public park in the centre of the town of Swindon, England, east of the Regent Circus area. It is about 12 acres (49,000 m2) in size, with a lake of around 2 acres (8,100 m2), and contains a diverse range of ornamental trees and shrubs. The park has a Garden of Remembrance, officially opened by Princess Elizabeth on 15 November 1950, which commemorates those who died in World War II. Queens Park is a suitable place for running and other recreational activities.

Old Town Railway Cutting (grid reference SU153832) is a 1.78 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Swindon, Wiltshire, notified in 1975. It is near the site of the former Swindon Town railway station. The site is notable for an unusual exposure of the Kimmeridge Clay formation.

Holy Rood Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. It was founded in 1851 as a chapel and was rebuilt as a church in 1905. It is situated on the corner of Groundwell Road and Lincoln Street in the centre of the town. It was designed by Edward Doran Webb as a Gothic Revival church and was the first Roman Catholic church built in and around the town since the Reformation.

Lawn Manor Academy is a secondary school with academy status in Walcot, Swindon, Wiltshire, England. Its site is next to The Lawn, a public park which was the grounds of a manor house, home of the Goddard family. The first school on this site was Lawn School, which opened in 1964. In 1965, education in Swindon was reorganised and the secondary schools became comprehensive; around this time the school's name was changed to Churchfields School. In 2000 Ofsted judged the school to have serious weaknesses and put it in the category of requiring special measures to improve. In 2004 the school was judged to have improved to Good.In September 2011 it became Churchfields Academy.In May 2017 the school joined the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust, and from September of that year its name became Lawn Manor Academy.
