Valois station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada, located in the Valois neighborhood. It is served by the Vaudreuil–Hudson line. As of October 2020, on weekdays, 10 of 11 inbound trains and 10 of 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station, with the others skipping it. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is located north of Autoroute 20 at the corner of Avenue Donegani and Avenue de la Baie-de-Valois. The original station building is extant but is no longer in passenger service; instead, it is used by a community resource centre. The station has two side platforms; access between them is provided by a tunnel with headhouses on either side of the tracks and a third located south of the highway. In 2016, the station became the first one on this line to possess its own work of art. The MU artistic organization arranged the creation of a mural on and inside the northern headhouse: L'empreinte de l'homme by Ilana Pichon.This station was open by 1889; the modern underpass was opened in 1980.

As of October 2020, on weekdays, 10 of 11 inbound trains and 10 of 12 outbound trains on the line call at this station, with the others skipping it. On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is located north of Autoroute 20 at the corner of Avenue Cardinal and Boulevard Pine Beach. The station possesses shelters but no station building. The station has two side platforms; access between them is provided by a tunnel with headhouses on either side of the tracks, a third on the north side of the highway (adjacent to a bus stop), and a fourth on the south side of the highway. A station named Bel Air was open at this location in the 1890s, but closed thereafter. Pine Beach station entered service by 1953.

St. Thomas High School (French: École secondaire St. Thomas) is an English-language public high school in the municipality of Pointe-Claire, in Quebec, Canada. Founded in 1960, it was originally a Roman Catholic foundation, and it is a member of the International Baccalaureate Organization's certified Middle Years Programme. The school is the second-largest high school operated by the Lester B. Pearson School Board, after John Rennie High School, which is also located in Pointe-Claire. For the 2008 school year, St. Thomas High School ranked 1 out of all 466 schools in the province.The present population is 1,355 students and includes students from thirty-nine Elementary Schools. St. Thomas has a Code of Conduct developed collaboratively by staff, and parents, which ensures a student's right to be educated in a caring, respectful environment. St. Thomas has an Honour Society in order to grant recognition to their top students. The Lester B. Pearson School Board has decided to move St. Thomas High into Lindsay Place High School in July 2021, where Lindsay Place will then cease to exist. The board's plan is to mesh the student populations from both high schools, with as little student displacement as possible.

Lindsay Place High School (LPHS) is a former public high school situated in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, on the island of Montreal. It was part of the Lester B. Pearson School Board. It opened in September 1962, named after Lindsay H. Place, a Montreal judge who volunteered for the Protestant School Commission, as it was then known.In the 2006–2007 school year the school began offering a new program to students interested in music. The program consisted of private lessons, multiple before school rehearsals and music theory and history classes, called the Arts-Etude program. The Lester B. Pearson School Board will be moving St. Thomas High School students into Lindsay Place High School on Broadview Avenue in Pointe-Claire in July 2021. Lindsay Place High School, which opened in 1962, will become St. Thomas High School once the process is complete.

Dorval-Jean XXIII is a high school located in the city of Dorval on the Island of Montreal. It is a French school which has two buildings. The first building contains Secondary I, II and the welcome classes, while the other building contains Secondary III, IV, V and other welcome classes. The school has around 1900 pupils. Dorval Jean-XXIII is located near the Centre Sportif Dorval. Dorval Jean XXIII was the site of the music video for the song Titanium, by David Guetta.

On weekends, all trains (four on Saturday and three on Sunday in each direction) call here.The station is located north of Autoroute 20 at the corner of Donegani and Ashgrove avenues. The station's two side platforms are connected by a pedestrian tunnel, with headhouses on either platform, in a parking lot located between the highway and the tracks, and on the south side of the highway. This station was opened as Lakeside in 1902; the name Pointe-Claire originally belonged to a different station, located west of here beyond Cedar Park station. Both stations were closed in 1980, but when a park and ride station was found to be needed, the Lakeside site was chosen, and the station rebuilt and reopened in 1986. Days after its reopening it was renamed Pointe-Claire.

The West Island (French: l'Ouest de l'île) is the unofficial name given to the city, towns and boroughs at the western end of the Island of Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. It is generally considered to consist of the Lakeshore municipalities of Dorval, Pointe-Claire, and Beaconsfield, the municipalities of Kirkland, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Baie-D'Urfé, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, the village of Senneville, and two North Shore boroughs of the city of Montreal: Pierrefonds-Roxboro and L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève. Historically, there was a linguistic division of the island of Montreal into French and English 'halves', with Francophones typically inhabiting the eastern portion of the island and Anglophones typically inhabiting the western half. The West Island's population is approximately 234,000 and although the overwhelming majority of its residents are today bilingual if not multi-lingual (given the cosmopolitan nature of this vast suburban area), anglophones still make up a plurality of the West Island's population. As late as the 1960s, much of the West Island was farmland populated by French Canadians, which in turn accounts for a significant Francophone cultural influence in the region. The region is home to the Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, John Abbott College, Cégep Gérald-Godin, the Macdonald Campus of McGill University, the Fairview Pointe-Claire and Galeries des Sources malls, as well as Montreal's largest park, the Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park. Hospitals include the Veteran's Hospital in Sainte-Anne's and the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire. Municipalities range in character from the modern bedroom communities of Kirkland or Dollard-des-Ormeaux to the former cottage-country homes of Dorval, Pointe Claire and Beaconsfield. Development and the concentration of industrial activity along highways 20, 40 and 13 over the last twenty years has made securing the region's remaining tracts of open land a priority for many West Island residents. The West Island is home to one of the last large remaining tracts of Montreal-region wilderness on island.

Dorval (French pronunciation: ​[dɔʁval]) is an on-island suburban city on the island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. In 2016, the Canadian Census indicated that the population increased by 4.2% to 18,980. Although the city has the largest surface area in Montréal’s west side, it is among the least densely populated. Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport constitutes about 60% of the city's land, forcing all of Dorval's population to be concentrated in the southern part of the city. Dorval is the oldest city in the west side of Montréal, having been founded in 1667, and one of the oldest in Canada and North America.

Montreal Area Control Centre (ICAO: CZUL) is one of 7 Area Control Centres in Canada operated by Nav Canada. Montreal ACC is located in a building on the outskirts of Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. From this ACC, air traffic controllers provide en route and terminal control services to aircraft in the Montreal Flight Information Region (FIR). The Montreal FIR airspace covers the entire province of Quebec (with the exception of the Bagotville Military Terminal Control Area), parts of eastern Ontario, the eastern shore of James Bay, Hudson Bay, the western section of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Nunavut region that includes Iqaluit. The Montreal FIR is bordered by 6 Flight Information Regions. To the east are the Moncton and Gander FIRs, to the south is the Boston ARTCC, to the west are the Toronto and Winnipeg FIRs and the Edmonton FIR to the north.

Stewart Hall (originally Mull Hall) is a cultural centre and art gallery in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. Originally built as a private mansion, today Stewart Hall houses a cultural centre, a reading and reference room, an art gallery, and a community centre.
