Karlovo náměstí (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkarlovo ˈnaːmɲɛsciː]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B. Its name is Czech for "Charles Square", after the plaza to which it is adjacent. The station has two exits, one leading to Charles Square and the other to Palacký Square (Czech: Palackého náměstí), both of which are major tram hubs. The station was opened on 2 November 1985, as part of the inaugural section of Line B between Sokolovská and Smíchovské nádraží.

The New Town (Czech: Nové Město) is a quarter in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic. New Town is the youngest and largest of the five independent (from the Middle Ages until 1784) towns that today comprise the historic center of modern Prague. New Town was founded in 1348 by Charles IV just outside the city walls to the east and south of the Old Town and encompassed an area of 7.5 km²; about three times the size of the Old Town. The population of Prague in 1378 was well over 40,000, perhaps as much as twice that, making it the 4th most populated city north of the Alps and, by area, the 3rd largest city in Europe. Although New Town can trace its current layout to its construction in the 14th century, only few churches and administrative buildings from this time survive. There are many secular and educational buildings in New Town, but also especially magnificent gothic and baroque churches. These nevertheless are not the main drawing points for tourists. New Town's most famous landmark is Wenceslas Square, which was originally built as a horsemarket and now functions as a center of commerce and tourism. In the 15th century, the Novoměstská radnice, or New Town Hall, was the site of the first of the three defenestrations of Prague.

Prague Institute of Planning and Development (Czech: Institut plánování a rozvoje hl. m. Prahy, abbreviation IPR) is a public-benefit corporation in charge of developing the concept behind the city's architecture, urbanism, development and formation managed by City Hall of Prague, Czechia. It represents spatial planning matters of Czech capital city, the coordination includes some documents as Prague Building Regulations, the Prague Waterfront Concept and the Prague Public Space Design Manual. It deals with the administration and propagation of main architectural competitions in the city. Institution Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP) which is familiarizing public with the architectonic and urbanist plans of Prague is also managed by IPR. It was established in 2013 and has headquarters in Prague 2, in Buildings of Association of project studios.

St. Ignatius Church (Czech: Kostel svatého Ignáce) is a church in Prague, Czech Republic. Located on Charles Square, the church was designed by Carlo Lurago in the early Baroque style, and built between 1655 and 1677. The church was built as part of the new Nove Mesto residence of the city's Jesuits, the third largest Jesuit complex in Europe, and dedicated to their patron saint and founder of the Jesuit Order, St. Ignatius of Loyola. The top of the facade carries a statue of St. Ignatius Loyola, placed there in 1671, with a halo surrounding his whole body. This feature was considered controversial at the time it was installed, as such a decoration was only considered appropriate for statues of Jesus Christ. The decorative painting of the exterior was carried out by Jan Jiří Heinsch and the sculpture work was that of Matěj Václav Jäckel. The interior is characterised by stucco decoration and features statues of several Jesuit and Czech saints. Many of the interior furnishings of the church date from around 1770, added by Jesuit painter Ignác Raab, who lived briefly at the complex.

Charles Square (Czech: Karlovo náměstí) is a city square in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. At roughly 80,550 m² it is one of the largest squares in the world and was the largest town square of the medieval Europe. Founded in 1348 as the main square of the New Town by Charles IV, it was known as Dobytčí trh (Cattle Market) from the 15th century and finally named after its founder in 1848. The central portion of the square was turned into a park in the 1860s. The square is now one of the main transport hubs of the city centre with Karlovo náměstí metro station and numerous tram lines and busy roads crossing it in all directions.

The Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral in Nové Město, Prague, the Czech Republic, is the principal Czech and Slovak Orthodox Church.

The Emmaus Monastery (Czech: Emauzy or Emauzský klášter), called Na Slovanech in the Middle Ages, is an abbey established in 1347 in Prague. It was the only Benedictine monastery of the Kingdom of Bohemia and all Slavic Europe.In the 1360s, the cloisters of the Monastery were decorated with a cycle of 85 Gothic wall paintings with parallels from the Old and New Testaments. The Gothic cloisters also feature original faded frescoes with bits of Pagan symbolism from the 14th century. The monastery was baroquised in the 17th–18th centuries and the two church towers were added. Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor gave to the just-founded monastery the manuscript Reims Gospel, it was probably lost from Prague in the time of the Hussite Wars, the manuscript later became part of the Reims Cathedral treasury. The monastery became a center of culture and art, students of Saints Cyril and Methodius studied there in addition to Jan Hus.During the Second World War the monastery was seized by the Gestapo and the monks were sent to Dachau concentration camp. The monastery building and vaults were destroyed by a U.S. bombing raid on Prague on 14 February 1945. The modern roof with steeples was added in the 1960s. Returned to the Benedictine order in 1990, the monastery is administered by three monks, two of whom live there.

The Vítězslav Hálek Memorial is an outdoor monument to Vítězslav Hálek, located at the Charles Square in Prague, Czech Republic.

St. Wenceslas Church at Zderaz is a Gothic single-nave church in Prague – New Town. It is located at the crossroad of Resslova Street and Dittrichova Street.

The statue of Saint Joseph (Czech: Kašna se sochou svatého Josefa) is located in front of New Town Hall on Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí), in Prague, Czech Republic.

Prague New City Hall (Czech: Nová radnice), the central administrative building of Prague (not to be confused with the New Town Hall/ Novoměstská radnice, once the town hall of Prague's New Town and now the building of the city district Prague 2), is located on the east side of Mariánské náměstí (Virgin Mary Square) in the centre of the Old Town, Prague 1, across from the Clementinum building complex. Since 1945 it has been the seat of Prague City Hall, Prague City Council, Prague City Assembly and the Mayor of Prague. The building contains offices, meeting halls and formal residences for the mayor and other city officials.

The New Town Hall (Czech: Novoměstská radnice, German: Neustädter Rathaus}) is the administrative centre of Prague's (medieval) New Town Quarter, or "Nové Město". In 1419 it was the site of the first of the three defenestrations of Prague.
