St Olaf House

St Olave's Church, Southwark was a church in Southwark, England which is believed to be mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. It was located on Tooley Street which is named after the church, i.e. 't'olous'. It became redundant in 1926 and was demolished. It is now the location of St Olaf House, which houses part of the London Bridge Hospital.

The London Bridge Hospital is a private hospital on the south bank of the River Thames in London.

London Bridge bus station serves the London Bridge area of the city of London and is situated at the London Bridge tube and rail station. There are three stands at the station which are situated on the station forecourt. London Buses routes 17, 43, 141, 149, 388 and 521 serve the station.

Nonsuch House was a four-storey house on London Bridge, completed in 1579. It is the earliest documented prefabricated building. Originally constructed in the Netherlands, it was taken apart and shipped to London in pieces in 1578, where it was reassembled, with each timber being marked so that it could be reconstructed correctly. It was assembled in the manner later typical of an American barn or modern prefab housing. The name Nonsuch may have referred to Henry VIII's now vanished Nonsuch Palace outside London; it meant there was "none such" anywhere else, that it was an unequalled paragon of its kind. All houses on London Bridge were pulled down in 1757.

The 1861 Tooley Street fire, also called the Great Fire of Tooley Street, started in Cotton's Wharf on Tooley Street, London, England, on 22 June 1861. The fire lasted for two weeks, and caused £2 million worth of damage. During the fire, James Braidwood, superintendent of the London Fire Engine Establishment, was killed. House of Commons reports cited multiple failures in fire prevention, and the fire led to the 1865 Metropolitan Fire Brigade Act, which established the London Fire Brigade.

The News Building is a 17-storey office block in the London Bridge area of London that forms part of the Shard Quarter development. It houses all of News UK's London operations, including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun, The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, talkSPORT, TalkRADIO, Times Radio, Virgin Radio, and the book publisher HarperCollins. It was designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, who also designed The Shard across the piazza, and was financed by Qatar, which is behind the Shard Quarter development. The News Building was known as The Place and The Baby Shard until 2014, when its name was changed. It was built on the site of the demolished New London Bridge House, designed by Richard Seifert, and was completed in 2013. At its base is a rebuilt bus and rail hub, London Bridge station.The building was opened on 16 September 2014 by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.In January 2017, Sky News opened its new Business Studio in the building. The studio housed Ian King Live, Sky's flagship evening business TV programme, as well as business bulletins. In September 2019, Sky moved its business studios to join sister channel CNBC Europe at 10 Fleet Place.On 19 July 2022, Extinction Rebellion activists smashed windows of the building in response to The Sun and The Times' coverage of the 2022 United Kingdom heatwave.

London Bridge City Pier (also known as London Bridge Pier and City Pier) is situated on the south bank of the River Thames in London, UK, close to London Bridge. It serves as the main pier for the City of London and City Hall, former headquarters of the London Assembly. The pier is also close to Hay's Galleria, HMS Belfast and Borough Market and the Shard.

The London, Brighton and South Coast Railway War Memorial is a war memorial at London Bridge railway station that honours the employees of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway who fought in World War I and World War II. Originally set in a brick wall, it was unveiled in 1922. It was framed with flat contemporary cladding panels when the station was redeveloped in the 2010s.This memorial is one of three erected by the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway, with the other two installed at Brighton and London Victoria stations.

The A200 is an A road in London running from London Bridge to Greenwich. It runs east from the A3 road along Duke Street Hill, then Tooley Street and Jamaica Road, following the River Thames until the junction with Rotherhithe Tunnel when it turns south down Lower Road. It follows the Thames again in Deptford, after passing Surrey Quays and becoming Evelyn Street. At the junction with Deptford Church Street it turns due east along Creek Road, over Deptford Creek to finish by the Cutty Sark at Greenwich Church Street, part of the A206 road. Cycleway 4 will follow most of the A200 road.

Southwark Towers was a high rise building at 32 London Bridge Street, designed by TP Bennett architects, overlooking London Bridge station, in Southwark, London. When it was demolished in 2008 to make way for The Shard, it was jointly the tallest building ever to have been demolished in the United Kingdom, alongside the Drapers' Gardens tower.

The Chapel of St Thomas on the Bridge was a bridge chapel built near the centre of "Old" London Bridge in the City of London and was completed by 1209. In 1548, during the Reformation, it was dissolved as a place of worship and soon afterwards converted to secular use. The building survived as a dwelling and warehouse until 1747 when the upper storey at street level was removed; the lower storey, which was built into the structure of one of the piers, remained in use as a store until Old London Bridge was demolished in 1832.
