Poelwijk Castle

Gendt is a small city with city rights in the Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The town is located in the Betuwe region, and is part of the municipality of Lingewaard. Gendt is situated along the rivers Waal and Linge. It has a population of 7,230 (as of 1 January 2020).

Kapel is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Lingewaard, about 1 km north of the town of Gendt.It was first mentioned in 1840 as Capel, and means chapel, i.e. church without an independent parish. Kapel is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Gendt. In 1840, it was home to 206 people. Nowadays, it consists of about 45 houses.

Erlecom is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Berg en Dal, in the province of Gelderland. Erlecom was first mentioned between 800 and 850 as Adelrichheim, and means "settlement of Adelrik". Erlecom was a heerlijkheid until the French period (1806). The castle De Kleverburg was first mentioned in 1343, and disappeared in a flood in the late-18th century. There were brickworks in Erlecom during the 19th century. In 1840, it was home to 202 people.

Ooij en Persingen is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It existed until 1818, when it was merged with Ubbergen.It is named after the two villages Ooij and Persingen.

Ooij is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Berg en Dal, Gelderland.

Kekerdom is a village in the municipality of Berg en Dal in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Kekerdom has 550 inhabitants (2008). It was first mentioned between 814 and 815 as Cacradesheim, and means "settlement of Cacrad (person)". In 1840, it was home to 351 people. World War II was reasonably quiet in Kekerdom until Operation Market Garden in September 1944. The village was in the line of fire. The Germans tried to flood the polder to delay the allied advance, and ordered the villagers to leave on 20 October. They arrived in Marum, Groningen where they were given shelter. The gristmill De Duffelt was constructed in 1870 and rebuilt in 1938.

Doornenburg is a village to the south east of Angeren in the municipality of Lingewaard, Gelderland, the Netherlands. Doornenburg Castle is located near the village.

Haalderen is a village in the Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The village is located in the Betuwe region, and belongs to the municipality of Lingewaard. Haalderen is situated along the rivers Waal and Linge. It has a population of 2,061 (1 January 2020).

Leuth is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Berg en Dal, about 10 km east of Nijmegen. Leuth was founded on a sandbank in the floodplain marshes north of the river Waal. The earliest mention of the settlement, named Lotde, dates back to 891 and 892. The village belonged until 1815 to Prussia; Leuth was a separate municipality until about 1814. It became a part of the Prussian municipality Niel, until it was transferred back to the Netherlands in 1817, as a part of the municipality of Ooij en Persingen, which later has become a part of the municipality of Ubbergen.During the second war world Leuth was severely affected. The centre of the original village was almost entirely destroyed. The village has a small shopping centre and a primary school.

Angeren is a village in the municipality of Lingewaard, Gelderland province, Netherlands. It has a population of 2,851 (1 January 2009), and is located in the very eastern tip of the Betuwe, 2 km to the south of Huissen, between the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Angeren is first mentioned as Angrina in a document dated 814 or 815. By 1160 Angeren was an independent parish. During the Middle Ages, Angeren grew to a village with a village square, a fortification ('Het Roode Wald') and a flour mill. The symbol of Angeren is Het Keuje ('The Pig') and there is a small statue of it in the centre of the town. The symbol refers to the historic dependency of Angeren on agriculture (mainly pig farms). The local football club is S.V. Angeren. Their first squad plays in the 3rd division (Sunday amateurs – Eastern Region KNVB). The local tennis club is called TV Angeren. Angeren is located at the Linge, a small river that springs up in the nearby town of Doornenburg, and the Pannerdens Kanaal, a canal linking the Waal and the Nederrijn. The freight train route Betuwelijn (opened in 2007) passes Angeren and crosses the Pannerdens Kanaal via a tunnel. Construction of the train route caused considerable protest in the village: on 4 April 2000 for example, a house that needed to be demolished was occupied by protesters who sat on the roof before being forced off by police. This event caused substantial media coverage.

Zyfflich is a village in Germany near the Dutch city of Nijmegen in the municipality of Kranenburg, Kreis Kleve in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Baal is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Lingewaard, about 1 km northeast of Bemmel, and located 1 kilometer north of Haalderen and is therefore part of Haalderen. It was first mentioned in 850 as Barla, and means "bare forest". Baal is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Haalderen. The hamlet used to have its own place name signs which looked like signs for a build up area, however the municipality removed them in 2017. The villagers have since then put up new signs. In 1840, Baal was home to 46 people. Nowadays, it consists of about 15 houses.
