Doornenburg is a village to the south east of Angeren in the municipality of Lingewaard, Gelderland, the Netherlands. Doornenburg Castle is located near the village.

Leuth is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Berg en Dal, about 10 km east of Nijmegen. Leuth was founded on a sandbank in the floodplain marshes north of the river Waal. The earliest mention of the settlement, named Lotde, dates back to 891 and 892. The village belonged until 1815 to Prussia; Leuth was a separate municipality until about 1814. It became a part of the Prussian municipality Niel, until it was transferred back to the Netherlands in 1817, as a part of the municipality of Ooij en Persingen, which later has become a part of the municipality of Ubbergen.During the second war world Leuth was severely affected. The centre of the original village was almost entirely destroyed. The village has a small shopping centre and a primary school.

Gendt is a small city with city rights in the Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The town is located in the Betuwe region, and is part of the municipality of Lingewaard. Gendt is situated along the rivers Waal and Linge. It has a population of 7,230 (as of 1 January 2020).

Kapel is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Lingewaard, about 1 km north of the town of Gendt.It was first mentioned in 1840 as Capel, and means chapel, i.e. church without an independent parish. Kapel is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Gendt. In 1840, it was home to 206 people. Nowadays, it consists of about 45 houses.

Fort Pannerden is a disused military fort situated near the village of Pannerden in the southeast of the Netherlands. In November 2006, it became the focus of national news stories because a group of squatters were evicted in a large-scale operation by police, helped by the army. Later on in the same month, it was resquatted.

Poelwijk Castle is an estate and former castle located to the south of the town of Gendt, part of the municipality of Lingewaard in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The moat and a residential tower of the castle have been preserved. The residential tower is a national monument.

The Pannerdens Kanaal (Pannerden Canal) is a canal in the Netherlands that was dredged between 1701 and 1709 to cut off a large, shallow bend of the river Rhine and so improve river traffic and water regulation. The canal, now indistinguishable from a "real" river, forks off north from river Waal a few kilometres past the point where the Bijlands Kanaal, a similar canal dug to cut off a Waal bend, ends. It flows past the towns of Pannerden (right bank), which gives the canal its name, and Angeren (left bank) and so north to the point where the old Rhine bend flows into it and the river continues to the sea as Nederrijn (Lower Rhine). The old Rhine bend, cut off at its upstream end, still exists and is called, unsurprisingly, Oude Rijn (Old Rhine).

Erlecom is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Berg en Dal, in the province of Gelderland. Erlecom was first mentioned between 800 and 850 as Adelrichheim, and means "settlement of Adelrik". Erlecom was a heerlijkheid until the French period (1806). The castle De Kleverburg was first mentioned in 1343, and disappeared in a flood in the late-18th century. There were brickworks in Erlecom during the 19th century. In 1840, it was home to 202 people.

Millingen aan de Rijn (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɪlɪŋə(n) aːn də ˈrɛin] ) is a former municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the municipality of Berg en Dal (formerly known as Groesbeek).

Zyfflich is a village in Germany near the Dutch city of Nijmegen in the municipality of Kranenburg, Kreis Kleve in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Burg Zelem or Zelem Castle (also Selhem, Selem or Zelm) was a knight's moated fortress located in the lowland areas left of the Rhine River between the villages Mehr and Niel.

Angeren is a village in the municipality of Lingewaard, Gelderland province, Netherlands. It has a population of 2,851 (1 January 2009), and is located in the very eastern tip of the Betuwe, 2 km to the south of Huissen, between the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. Angeren is first mentioned as Angrina in a document dated 814 or 815. By 1160 Angeren was an independent parish. During the Middle Ages, Angeren grew to a village with a village square, a fortification ('Het Roode Wald') and a flour mill. The symbol of Angeren is Het Keuje ('The Pig') and there is a small statue of it in the centre of the town. The symbol refers to the historic dependency of Angeren on agriculture (mainly pig farms). The local football club is S.V. Angeren. Their first squad plays in the 3rd division (Sunday amateurs – Eastern Region KNVB). The local tennis club is called TV Angeren. Angeren is located at the Linge, a small river that springs up in the nearby town of Doornenburg, and the Pannerdens Kanaal, a canal linking the Waal and the Nederrijn. The freight train route Betuwelijn (opened in 2007) passes Angeren and crosses the Pannerdens Kanaal via a tunnel. Construction of the train route caused considerable protest in the village: on 4 April 2000 for example, a house that needed to be demolished was occupied by protesters who sat on the roof before being forced off by police. This event caused substantial media coverage.
