Yin Kong

De La Salle Secondary School, N.T. (DLS,Chinese: 新界喇沙中學) is a catholic secondary school in Kam Tsin Tsuen, near Kwu Tung in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It was established by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1965. It is one of the Lasallian schools in Hong Kong. (N.T. is the acronym of New Territories, a region in Hong Kong.) From Form 1 through to Form 4 only boys are accepted, but form 5, 6 and 7 are fully coeducational. Initially English was used as the medium of instruction. The school began to use Cantonese to teach in 1987, and in 1997 it became the sole instructing language in classes.

Kam Tsin (Chinese: 金錢), also known as Kam Tsin Tsuen (金錢村) is a village and an area in the North District, in the New Territories in Hong Kong.

Long Valley (Chinese: 塱原) is a wetland in Sheung Shui of the New Territories in Hong Kong. The wetland was originally formed by the rice paddies between Shek Sheung River and Sheung Yue River. It is the last agricultural wetland in Hong Kong. Long Valley became notable in Hong Kong when the Kowloon–Canton Railway proposed building the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line across it. This proposal aroused great concern from the Conservancy Association, and other Hong Kong environmental groups that the construction would greatly affect the habitats of the wetland, including waterfowl and water levels. The Conservancy Association launched the "Save Long Valley" campaign and wrote many letters to various Hong Kong government officials urging them to scrap the proposed spur line. Several methods thereafter proposed included a flyover or a tunnel under the wetland. The KCR initially adopted a hostile, non-conciliatory attitude towards environmentalist demands and eventually changed course after failing to get a permit from the Environmental Protection Department. It was finally decided to tunnel under the wetland at great cost.During the process of public discussion, private land owners strongly criticized environmental groups, whom they feared could threaten their personal interests. Local farmers and tenants, however, feared for the loss of their own means of income and lifestyle, despite their age.Subsequent to the revised proposal several key projects were initiated to improve the quality of Long Valley. Among these The Conservancy Association (https://www.cahk.org.hk/) began a sustainable development project that would unify social, economic and environmental concerns. These included helping farmers shift from traditional farming practices to organic farming, organizing ecotours to educate the public about Long Valley and restoring abandoned lands to various types of wetlands.

Ho Sheung Heung (Chinese: 河上鄉) is an area in Sheung Shui, North District, Hong Kong.

Oi Yuen Villa (Chinese: 愛園別墅) is a privately owned villa located in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, Hong Kong. The building has been listed as a Grade I historic building since June 2017.

The Shek Sheung River (Chinese: 石上河; also known as River Sutlej), is a river in northern New Territories, Hong Kong. The river originates near Choi Po Court and Hong Kong Golf Club then flows beside the East Rail line before discharging into the Ng Tung River.

Fanling Lodge is an official residence of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, which serves as a country house and occasionally hosts official functions. Built in 1934 as a summer residence for the then Governor of Hong Kong, Fanling Lodge was granted a Grade I historic building status in 2014, amid concerns about its inclusion within a new town development plan.

Kwu Tung (Chinese: 古洞) is an area in the northern New Territories, west of Sheung Shui and Fanling, and east of Lok Ma Chau and San Tin, in Hong Kong.

The Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse (Chinese: 上水屠房; Jyutping: soeng6 seoi2 tou4 fong4) is a slaughterhouse in the outskirts of Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong. The installation was built by China State Construction. Construction began in February 1997, at a cost of HK$ 1.858 billion. It covers 5.8 hectares and is the largest slaughterhouse in Hong Kong, as well as being one of the largest in Asia according to the Architectural Services Department.As of January 2000, pollution and hygienic controls of the slaughterhouse conform to international standard, and received ISO 14001 environmental management certification. The slaughterhouse is currently managed and operated by Ng Fung Hong Limited, who were contracted by the Hong Kong Government. Today, the slaughterhouse can accommodate 12,000 pigs and 2200 cows. It is outfitted with sewage treatment, a water recycling plant and advanced slaughter machines which can operate mostly without manpower. The facility can slaughter up to 5000 pigs, 400 cows and 300 lambs per day.

Fanling Airstrip (Chinese: 粉嶺機場) was a military airstrip in the race course, Fanling, New Territories, Hong Kong. In May 1949, when the 1st Independent Field Squadron of the Royal Engineers arrived from British Malaya, they built a temporary military airstrip on the ninth fairway (located at the Hong Kong Golf Club's fairway to number 9 hole), let the 2-seater spotter aircraft of the Royal Artillery to use for patrolling the British-Sino boundary for a few weeks before moving on (the unit departed Hong Kong in February 1950).The airfield disappeared when the Golf Course resumed operations in the early 1950s.

Tai Tau Leng (Chinese: 大頭嶺) is a Punti walled village in Sheung Shui, North District, Hong Kong.

The Sheung Yue River (Chinese: 雙魚河; Hong Kong Hakka: Sung1ng2 Ho2; also known as the River Beas) is a river in the northern New Territories, Hong Kong. Its sources are near Kai Kung Leng and Ki Lun Shan, where numerous streams flow into the river. It flows through Kwu Tung and Sheung Shui. It joins up with the Shek Sheung River and eventually empties into the Ng Tung River. Beas River Country Club is located near the river. The country club was a venue for the 2008 Olympic Equestrian events.
