Fanling Airstrip

The Hong Kong Golf Club is a private golf club. It is home to the Hong Kong Open, a tournament co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours. Founded in 1889 as the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club, the club originally played in Happy Valley, a location shared with many other activities. As the club expanded, the need for a more permanent home was addressed with the building of a small 9-hole course at Deep Water Bay, before the club eventually moved to its current location in Fanling, most of which is leased from the Hong Kong government. According to the club annals, the Deep Water Bay location opened in 1898; and the 18-hole Old Course was completed in 1911. To expand the facility, in 1968, the club negotiated the lease of around 30 acres of land at Beas River with which it expanded the Eden Course into a full 18-hole championship course. The 'Royal' was dropped from the name of the club in 1996, in advance of the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the People's Republic of China.The club paid a one-off premium to lease the land, and is wrongly labelled to pay only a peppercorn rent annually. In 2012, the club paid HK$1.9 million for rent and HK$3.2 million for rates. In Year 2013–2014, the Government Rent Payable is HK$2,538,000.

The World City Championship is a golf tournament on the Asian Tour held at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Hong Kong.The inaugural tournament served as one of 11 events around the world in the Open Qualifying Series (OQS) for the 2023 Open Championship. Kho Taichi, Kim Bi-o and Travis Smyth qualified, after Michael Hendry withdrew for medical reasons.

The Hong Kong Open is a golf tournament which is played on the Asian Tour, and formerly on the European Tour. It was founded in 1959 and in 1962 was one of the five tournaments that made up the inaugural Far East Circuit, later known as the Asia Golf Circuit. It remained part of the circuit until 1996, before joining the Asian Tour, then known as the Omega Tour, in 1997. It became co-sanctioned by the European Tour in 2001, as part of the 2002 season. The Hong Kong Open was played in spring from its inception until 1994, but since 1995 has usually been played towards the end of the year, in November or December, and as a result has often fallen into the following year's European Tour season. Since taking its place on the European Tour the event has always been held at the Hong Kong Golf Club in Sheung Shui, New Territories. The Hong Kong Golf Association, Hong Kong PGA, and Chinese PGA receive a limited number of exemptions into the tournament for their members.

Fanling Lodge is an official residence of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, which serves as a country house and occasionally hosts official functions. Built in 1934 as a summer residence for the then Governor of Hong Kong, Fanling Lodge was granted a Grade I historic building status in 2014, amid concerns about its inclusion within a new town development plan.

The 1975 World Cup took place 4–7 December at the Navatananee Course in Khan Na Yao district, 20 kilometres northeast of Bangkok city center in Thailand. It was the 23rd World Cup event. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 47 teams of which 45 teams completed the competition. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The United States team of Lou Graham and Johnny Miller won by ten strokes over the Taiwan team of Hsieh Min-Nan and Kuo Chie-Hsiung. It was the 13th win for United States in the 23 times the World Cup, formerly named Canada Cup, had been contested. The individual competition for The International Trophy, was won by Miller, two strokes ahead of three players, who shared second place.

The 1984 Eisenhower Trophy took place 30 October to 2 November at the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling, Hong Kong. It was the 14th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 38 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Japan won the Eisenhower Trophy for the first time, finishing seven strokes ahead of the silver medalists, United States. The Philippines took the bronze medal, a further two strokes behind with Great Britain and Ireland finishing fourth. The United States had a poor second round, scoring 234 to Japan's 214, and were unable to catch the Japanese in the final two rounds. Luis Carbonetti, representing Argentina, and Tetsuo Sakata from Japan had the lowest individual scores, 2-under-par 286. Carbonetti had been the lowest individual scorer in 1982.

Kam Tsin (Chinese: 金錢), also known as Kam Tsin Tsuen (金錢村) is a village and an area in the North District, in the New Territories in Hong Kong.

Cheung Lung Wai Estate (Chinese: 祥龍圍邨) is a public housing estate in Sheung Shui, New Territories, Hong Kong near North District Hospital. It comprises two residential blocks providing 1,358 units completed in 2015.

Oi Yuen Villa (Chinese: 愛園別墅) is a privately owned villa located in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, Hong Kong. The building has been listed as a Grade I historic building since June 2017.

De La Salle Secondary School, N.T. (DLS,Chinese: 新界喇沙中學) is a catholic secondary school in Kam Tsin Tsuen, near Kwu Tung in the New Territories of Hong Kong. It was established by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1965. It is one of the Lasallian schools in Hong Kong. (N.T. is the acronym of New Territories, a region in Hong Kong.) From Form 1 through to Form 4 only boys are accepted, but form 5, 6 and 7 are fully coeducational. Initially English was used as the medium of instruction. The school began to use Cantonese to teach in 1987, and in 1997 it became the sole instructing language in classes.

North District Hospital (Chinese: 北區醫院; Cantonese Yale: Bākkēui Yīyún) or NDH is a district general hospital serving the population of the New Territories East Cluster. It has now 683 in-patient beds, 24-hour Accident & Emergency service, specialist out-patient, day and community facilities.NDH is the first hospital completely planned and built by the Hospital Authority since their establishment in 1990. After five years' construction, the hospital commenced service in February 1998. The location was formerly known as the Dodwell's Ridge Camp (Chinese: 天祥營; Cantonese Yale: Tīn chèuhng yìhng) of the Royal Hong Kong Police Cadet School.
