Pakenham Secondary College is situated approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, Australia. Established in 1968 to provide education to a largely rural community, the school now enrols over 750 students from an urban community. It is currently undergoing a six-stage development project, which has seen the building of a new $3.5 million VCE student complex. The school population is expected to peak at 1800.

Pakenham is an elevated premium station, featuring an island platform with two faces. It opened on 8 October 1877, with the current station provided in 2024. Stabling facilities were located on the south side of the station, until their removal in 2022.

The Cardinia Motor Recreation and Education Park is a planned motorsport and driver education facility at Pakenham, an outer southeastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was proposed to have a 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi) race track built to FIA Grade 2 standard, along with other facilities. It received approval from the Cardinia Shire Council in December 2019 and was expected to start construction within six months. The site was previously the home of both the Koo Wee Rup Motor Cycle Club and the Pakenham Auto Club. The proposal had been in planning since 2013, with a view to reducing hoon driving in the area.Other facilities in the complex are proposed to include a skid pan, go-kart track and clay pigeon shooting range. Earlier plans also included a dragstrip. It is also expected to have a hotel with views over the circuit.

East Pakenham railway station is a commuter railway station and the terminus of the Pakenham line, serving the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Pakenham East in Victoria, Australia. East Pakenham is a ground-level premium station, featuring an island platform with two faces, and bypass tracks for V/Line regional services. It opened on 3 June 2024. East Pakenham station was constructed alongside a rebuilt Pakenham station, as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. Until mid-2023, the state government referred to the station as Pakenham East railway station. The name "East Pakenham" was confirmed in a new rail network map published in May 2023 by Public Transport Victoria. It was named "East Pakenham" station so it would not be confused with the nearby Pakenham East rail depot.

Officer South is a suburb and rural locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 50 km (31 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Shire of Cardinia local government area. Officer South recorded a population of 1,159 at the 2021 census.
