Union Station (Manchester, New Hampshire)

District A is a historic worker housing district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, near the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard. It is bounded by Pleasant, State, Granite, and Bedford streets, and includes seven surviving tenement blocks (out of ten) built by Amoskeag between 1843 and 1852. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982.

The T. L. Thorpe Building was an historic commercial building located at 19 Traction Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982. The building was constructed circa 1881 and was named for Thomas L. Thorpe, a prominent textile merchant, who maintained an office upstairs. The first floor was occupied by a produce dealer. Photographs of the building, which was razed in 1982, were taken by the Historic American Buildings Survey around 1933.The property was removed from the NRHP in 1999. The former site of the building is approximately 500 feet (150 m) west of the current SNHU Arena.

The New Hampshire State Union Armory is a historic armory building at 60 Pleasant Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Built in 1904, this large brick building was the first armory building in the state, and is a distinct example of Romanesque architecture. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNH Manchester) is the urban campus of the public University of New Hampshire and is located in Manchester, New Hampshire. It was established in 1985 as the sixth college of the University of New Hampshire.

The SNHU Arena (Southern New Hampshire University Arena) is an indoor events arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, and seats 9,852 for ice hockey, 11,140 for basketball and up to 11,770 for concerts.The facility was originally known during construction as Manchester Civic Arena, and this name still appears on most of the directional signs around town. Its naming rights were sold prior to opening in 2001 and was called Verizon Wireless Arena. On February 2, 2016, Southern New Hampshire University announced that it had purchased the naming rights from the then SMG (property management). The specific amount of money involved was never revealed, but it is known that the deal provides for student internships at the arena, and that the school will be able to use the arena for its own sporting and other events. The partnership between SMG and the university will run for a period of at least ten years after the arena officially changed its name on September 1, 2016.In October 2019, SMG property management company merged with AEG Facilities, creating ASM Global.The arena contains 542 club seats, 34 luxury suites, and five party suites.

District B is a historic worker housing district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, near the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard. It is roughly bounded by Canal, Mechanic, Franklin, and Pleasant Streets, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982. It contains 32 contributing properties, including seventeen rowhouse tenement blocks built mainly between 1838 and 1850, in an area of approximately 170 acres (69 ha).

Delta Dental Stadium is a stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire that holds 6,500 people. It is used primarily for baseball, and is the home field of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, an Eastern League baseball team. The first game played at the ballpark was on April 7, 2005, between the New Britain Rock Cats and the Fisher Cats. The first concert was performed by Bob Dylan on August 27, 2006. In 2011 insurance company Northeast Delta Dental signed a 10-year contract for the ballpark's naming rights with a five-year option. The stadium has since updated the name to simply Delta Dental Stadium although Northeast Delta Dental is still the stadium naming rights holder.

The Free State Project (FSP) is an American political migration movement founded in 2001 to recruit at least 20,000 libertarians to move to a single low-population state (New Hampshire was selected in 2003) in order to make the state a stronghold for libertarian ideas. The New Hampshire Union Leader reports that the Free State Project is not a political party but a nonprofit organization.Participants of the FSP signed a statement of intent declaring that they intended to move to New Hampshire within five years of the drive reaching 20,000 participants. This statement of intent was intended to function as a form of assurance contract. As of February 3, 2016, 20,000 people have signed this statement of intent, completing the original goal, and 1,909 people are listed as "early movers" to New Hampshire on the FSP website, saying they had made their move prior to the 20,000-participant trigger. In the 2017–2018 term of the 400-member New Hampshire House of Representatives, 17 seats were held by Free Staters.The FSP is a social movement generally based upon decentralized decision making. The group hosts various events, but most of FSP's activities depend upon volunteers & no formal plan dictates to participants or movers what their actions should be in New Hampshire. As of May 2022, approximately 6,232 participants have moved to New Hampshire for the Free State Project.

City Hall Plaza, City Hall Plaza Tower or 900 Elm Street (U.S. Route 3), is a prominent 274-foot (84 m) office tower in Manchester, New Hampshire. Since its completion in 1992, City Hall Plaza has been the tallest building in the city of Manchester, the state of New Hampshire, and northern New England (the states of New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont). It is shorter than most of the tallest buildings in Boston, Hartford, New Haven, and Providence. The tower is used as office space for private businesses and for the Manchester city government. The building is recognizable as one of the main features of the Manchester skyline, along with the Brady Sullivan Plaza, SNHU Arena, the DoubleTree Hotel, the Center of New Hampshire, and the Citizens Bank building. The facade is brick and limestone, with a four-gabled green roof. The building was built in the early 1990s (construction was completed in 1992) by Nynex Properties at a cost of $22 million. Ownership of the building changed hands several times until it was purchased by its present owner, Brady Sullivan Properties (also the owner of the nearby Brady Sullivan Plaza, New Hampshire's second-tallest building) in September 2014.

Manchester is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Hampshire and in northern New England, a region comprising the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. At the 2020 census, it had a population of 115,644.Manchester is, along with the city of Nashua, one of two seats of New Hampshire's most populous county, Hillsborough County. Manchester lies near the northern end of the Northeast megalopolis and straddles the banks of the Merrimack River. It was first named by the merchant and inventor Samuel Blodgett, namesake of Samuel Blodget Park and Blodget Street in the city's North End. His vision was to create a great industrial center similar to that of the original Manchester in England, which was the world's first industrialized city.

The City Hall of Manchester, New Hampshire, is located at 908 Elm Street, the city's principal commercial thoroughfare. The brick-and-granite three-story structure was built in 1844-45 to a design by Boston architect Edward Shaw, and is a prominent early example of the Gothic Revival style in a civic building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
