Niketan (Bengali: নিকেতন) also known as Niketan Residential Area, Gulshan or Niketan Housing Society is an upscale residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was a housing project of Eastern Housing Limited. Niketan is also a part of Gulshan Thana and Ward No. 20 of Dhaka North City Corporation.

Mohakhali Bus Terminal is one of three main inter-city bus stations in Dhaka (local name tangail bus stand), opened in 1984. Located in the Mohakhali neighbourhood, it primarily serves destinations in northern Bangladesh, including Tangail, Netrokona, Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Kishoreganj, and Bogra.Renovations to the terminal were completed in 2005. The 15 crore taka ($2.3M) rehabilitation was part of the Dhaka Urban Transport Project, funded by a World Bank loan.The 36,400-square-metre (9.0-acre) site can accommodate 300 buses. As of 2015, companies operate 800 daily trips from the terminal, on 60 different routes.

Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (Bengali: আহ্ছানউল্লা বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়), commonly known as AUST, is a private (Engineering) University in Bangladesh. It was founded by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah.

Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute & Hospital (Bengali: শেখ রাসেল জাতীয় গ্যাস্ট্রোলিভার ইনস্টিটিউট ও হাসপাতাল) is a state supported research institute and hospital for Gastrointestinal diseases of the Digestive System, Liver, and Pancreas located at Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The National Institute of Ear, Nose and Throat, Bangladesh is a specialized hospital and training center in ear, nose and throat (Otorhinolaryngology) diseases located in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Construction of the institute began in 2009 and the new 12-storied building was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina on June 19, 2013. When fully functional the 250-bed specialized institute would have an international standard audio-vestibular lab, sleep lab and voice study lab. It would act as an important center for training professionals in treating ENT disorders. The current director of the hospital is Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdullah.

National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH) is a state supported research institute and hospital in Bangladesh. It was established in 1955 as TB Hospital. In 1962 it was upgraded as National Chest Diseases Institute.

Junk Yard Family 2004 cast iron & chain sculpture created by Mrinal Haque. The sculpture stands on the pier at the entrance to a gas station in Tejgaon since 2004. The sculpture was officially inaugurated on the first week of 2005. It is a private sculpture, Haque made for Southern Automobile gas station.

Begunbari is a slum mahallah (neighborhood) in Ward 37 of Tejgaon Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. According to the 2011 Bangladesh census, it had 9,034 households and a population of 34,517.

National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH) is dedicated to cancer patient management, education and research. This is the only tertiary level center of the country engaged in multidisciplinary cancer patient management. It started its activity in a tin-shade building of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in 1982, soon it is shifted to the present location at Mohakhali in 1986. According to a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Health and the Rotary Club of Dhaka the latter built the Rotary Cancer Detection Unit (RCDU) and the Cancer Institute started working as an outdoor cancer detection unit only. In 1991, 50 bed indoor facilities incorporated. In 1994 the cancer institute renamed as National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH) and the first radiation treatment was applied to a patient in 1995 with a Cobalt 60 Teletherapy machine. With the provision of support from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), the up-gradation works of this Institute to 300 bedded Center has been completed. In April 2015 it was upgraded to a 300-bed hospital. In 2019 the Hon'ble Health Minister Mr. Jahid Maleque M.P. consented to convert NICRH as a 500-bed hospital and the work is almost completed. Shahid Dr. Fazle Rabbi Park (Bengali: শহীদ ডা. ফজলে রাব্বি পার্ক) or in short Fazle Rabbi Park, is a urban park located in the Gulshan-1, Niketan area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Formerly it was called Gulshan South Park. The park was named Shahid Dr. Fazle Rabbi Park after the renowned cardiologist and martyred intellectual in the liberation war of Bangladesh, Mohammed Fazle Rabbee.

Tejgaon Industrial Area Thana is a Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh that was formed in 2006.
