DCP El Primero High School is a public charter high school in San Jose, California. Its mission is to prepare first-generation students, particularly low-income Latinos, for college success. Originally called Downtown College Prep, it opened in 2000 as the first charter school in Santa Clara County and has since become the flagship school of the Downtown College Prep (DCP) family of schools.

CEFCU ('sef-kyü) Stadium, formerly known as Spartan Stadium, is an outdoor athletic stadium located in the Spartan Keyes neighborhood of central San Jose, California, in the western United States. Owned by San José State University, the venue is the longtime home of Spartan football. The stadium also hosts occasional high school football games and the university commencement ceremony every year on Memorial Day weekend. Known as Spartan Stadium for over eight decades, it was renamed in 2016. CEFCU Stadium was the home of the San Jose Earthquakes (originally San Jose Clash) of Major League Soccer from the league's inception in 1996 through the 2005 season. Other tenants have included the original San Jose Earthquakes of the North American Soccer League from 1974 to 1984, the San Jose CyberRays of the Women's United Soccer Association from 2001 to 2003, and the San Francisco Dragons of Major League Lacrosse in 2008. Soccer Bowl '75 was also held at CEFCU. During the winter and spring of 2009, the stadium's natural grass playing field was removed and replaced with FieldTurf, a new generation of artificial turf with a crumb rubber and sand infill. This improvement has resulted in significant savings to the university in water use, fertilizer and seed. This project was completed in time for the May 2009 commencement ceremony.The stadium also received significant upgrades to the scoreboard and sound system in 2011 and 2020. This included installation of an HD video screen by Daktronics at the south end of the stadium in 2011, and a new, much larger video board at the north end in 2020.

The Ross House is a historic house in San Jose, California. It was built in 1878 for Lyman Ross and his son Oscar. The Rosses were fruit dealers. They owned the house until 1889. From 1900 to 1931, it belonged to William E. Keith, a surgeon. In 1949, the house was "converted to apartments."The house was designed in the Italianate architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since October 29, 1982.

Bud Winter Field was the San Jose State University track and field arena, named after former coach Lloyd "Bud" Winter. Out of the athletes Winter coached, 102 were All-Americans, earning the university the nickname "Speed City".Olympians and activists Tommie Smith and John Carlos trained on the track before their famous 1968 Olympics Black Power salute in Mexico City. The field was demolished in 2019. A parking garage has been built on the site.

The Troy Laundry, also known as the Troy Steam Laundry, established in 1895 by Charles Larnell Southgate, was a historic laundry located on 722 Almaden Avenue in San Jose, California. The Troy Laundry operated at this site from 1896 to 1979, serving as an example of 19th-century false front wooden industrial architecture. The site is now occupied by the Troy Apartments. The Troy Laundry was recognized and officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 28, 1982.

Notre Dame High School is a Catholic college preparatory high school for girls in San Jose, California. Founded in 1851, Notre Dame is the oldest high school in California (tied with Bellarmine College Preparatory).

The Institute of Contemporary Art San José (ICA) is a nonprofit art center and gallery founded in 1980, and located in the SoFA District of Downtown San Jose. It supports contemporary artists working in painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, new media works and site-specific installations. ICA San José is member and community supported. The art center offers rotating art exhibitions with free admission, along with public programs, education programs, and community events.

Sharks Ice San Jose (formerly the Ice Center of San Jose, Logitech Ice Center, and Solar4AmericaIce) is an indoor ice rink in San Jose, California, United States. The largest ice rink facility in the Western United States, Solar4America Ice serves as the official training facility for the NHL San Jose Sharks and the home arena for San Jose State University's Spartans hockey team. The facility opened in 1994 and was expanded in 2000 and 2005. Roofing contractor PetersenDean bought naming rights to the facility in 2016, renaming the facility after its Solar4America solar roofing brand. After PetersenDean's bankruptcy in 2020, the name reverted to Sharks Ice The venue is also used for public skating, public/private skating programs, hockey programs, broomball, curling, speed skating, ice dancing, and more.Remodeled in the summer of 2005, the 180,000 sq ft (17,000 m2) facility features four (4) NHL-sized ice rinks (the Spartans play on the North Rink, which has a listed seating capacity of approximately 550, but is routinely packed with upwards of 1000 fans on game nights), as well as a full-service Pro Shop, a full-service Food Court, and meeting space for up to 500 guests. Additionally, Stanley's Sports Bar & Grill, opened in January 2006, features food, beer, and wine.In 1995, the arena hosted the Women's Pacific Rim Championship ice hockey tournament. A proposed 200,800 sq ft (18,650 m2) expansion would add another two rink surfaces and more than double the size of the facility, but would displace the San Jose Municipal Firing Range. If the expansion is approved, it would begin construction in 2020 and finish in December 2021.The facility expansion included the new Tech CU Arena, the permanent home of the San Jose Barracuda.

Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana (MACLA) is a contemporary arts space focused on the Chicano and Latino experience and history, located in the SoFA district at 510 South First Street in San Jose, California. The museum was founded in 1989, in order to encourage civic dialog and social equity. The current programming includes visual art, performing and literary arts, youth arts education, and a community art program. The space has two performing arts spaces, a gallery and the MACLA Castellano Playhouse and they frequently host poetry readings and film screenings.

Tech CU Arena is a multi-purpose arena in San Jose, California. It is the home of the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles is an art museum in Downtown San Jose, California, USA. Founded in 1977, the museum is the first in the United States devoted solely to quilts and textiles as an art form. Holdings include a permanent collection of over 1,000 quilts, garments and ethnic textiles, emphasizing artists of the 20th- and 21st-century, and a research library with over 500 books concerning the history and techniques of the craft.

Excite Ballpark, previously known as San Jose Municipal Stadium or Muni Stadium, is a baseball park in San Jose, California. It is the home of the Minor League Baseball San Jose Giants, an affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The team plays in the North Division of the California League. The stadium is also home to the San Jose State University Spartans college baseball team. Local high school baseball divisions also use the ballpark as their championship field. The stadium also hosts concerts, weddings, car shows, and many other community events. It has been the home field for the San Jose Owls, San Jose Red Sox, San Jose Jo Sox, San Jose Pirates, San Jose Missions, San Jose Bees, and the San Jose Expos minor league teams. The facility is located one block from Spartan Stadium, home to the San Jose State Spartans football team. The area across Alma Avenue from Excite is home to the San Jose State practice fields for soccer, baseball, and softball. Additionally part of the stadium's parking lot was converted into an indoor ice area, Solar4America Ice, which is the practice venue for the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League hockey team.
