Sværsvann is a lake in the southeast of Oslo, Norway. The lake drains off into the river Hobølelva. The lake's surrounding areas are mostly residential. Sværsvann is a popular bathing place, and the name is believed to origin from "Sværd Vandet", which means "Sword Water", because a sword was once found at the bottom of the lake. The bottom water contains huge amount of salts, organic nutrition and hydrogen sulfid.

Siggerud is a village in the municipality of Ski, Norway, just a few kilometres away from the border of the municipality of Oslo where most of Siggerud's population work. Its population (2005) is 1,353, but probably over 2000 if you count the area around. Siggerud is a small place, but has recently hosted a number of celebrities, some of which are known outside Norway. The most famous is probably Lasse Kjus who won the alpine World Cup twice. Other celebrities from Siggerud include Christian Ingebrigtsen, who is in the boy band A1, Trude Mostue, well known in the UK as "Trude the Vet", TV host, actor and journalist, Christian Strand no:Christian Strand (adoptive son of political editor in the newspaper Dagsavisen, Arne Strand no:Arne Strand), Herman Flesvig no:Herman Flesvig, Fredric Aasbø en:Fredric Aasbø, plus various local celebrities, amongst other people including Christian's dad Stein Ingebrigtsen.

Stunner was the site of a Stone Age settlement located near Ski in Akershus County, Norway. The settlement was first discovered during 1928 on the Stunner farm while Johannes Mikkelsen harvested potatoes. Mikkelsen was a well-read man with a great interest in archeology. In February 1929 he first collected eight flint pieces for submission to the University of Oslo Museum of National Antiquities. Subsequently, Mikkelsen and his two sons, Hans and Sverre, submitted approximately 700 finds from their farm to the University Museum.The flint finds from the Stone Age settlement at Stunner reveal that the site was populated around 11,000 years ago. During the Upper Paleolithic era, pioneer settlers from the Ahrensburg culture tracked northward from the submerged North Sea continent and European mainland. Their primary prey was reindeer. At Stunner marine resources was also significant. The landscape the settlers encountered was dramatically different from the present. The sea level was 160 meters higher, and the fauna and flora resembled the arctic tundra and coastline.

Østmarka is a forested area to the east of Oslo and part of the congregation of woodland areas known as Oslomarka. The area is situated within the municipalities Oslo, Lørenskog, Rælingen, Ski and Enebakk. Østmarka is delimited to the west by populated areas of Oslo, to the north of communities of Skårer, Lørenskog and Rælingen and to the east by the lake Øyeren, to the south-east lies Enebakk and to the south-west Sørmarka, another forested area. The change from Østmarka to Sørmarka takes place at the lake Langen. Østmarka is marked by its location on top of basement rock (more than 1 billion years old) containing easy-to-see folds that make up valleys and hills in the north-south direction. For this reason the terrain has a lot of hills, no matter where one goes. Along the upper marine border (about 210 meters) the ice of the last ice age has left large amounts of gravel and sand. Sand, Sandbakken ("Sandy Hill"), Sandbekken ("Sandy Creek") and Grusbakken ("Gravel Hill") are all on about the same elevation. The sand mines at Ødegården have been left there by the ice. Beach snails have been found at Lutvann at an elevation of 200 meters.

Ski (Norwegian pronunciation: [ʂiː] (listen)) is a town and former "kommune" (municipality) in the new municipality (as of January 1, 2020) of Nordre Follo in the greater region Follo, in Viken county, Norway. Ski is the most populous and largest town in Follo, and serves as the de facto municipality center of Nordre Follo. Institutions like the hospital, tingrett (district court), police station, and other regional public services, are located in and around the town of Ski.

Nordre Follo is a municipality in the Oslo region in Viken county. Norway. The area was part of Akershus County from the Middle Ages to 2020. Nordre Follo was established on 1 January 2020 by the merging of Ski and Oppegård municipalities.

Klemetsrud Church is a white-painted wooden church in the south eastern edge of Oslo, Norway. The church was consecrated on September 3, 1933. Architects of the church were Herman Major Backer (father of Lars Backer), and Einar Engelstad. Engelstad took over when Backer died the year before the church was finished.The church was restored and expanded in 1982 with a separate congregation hall and chapel (designed by Rolf Christian Krognes). In the winter of 2008/09 an interior renovation was carried out. The pulpit and the altar, as well as the chairs in the choir are carved by Anthon Røvik. The altarpiece is painted by Olaf Willums. The church has two church bells made by the Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry, cast the same year as the church was opened. The largest bell has a monogram of King Haakon VII on one side and the following inscription on the other side: "Klemetsrud kirke. Jeg kaller kom. Joh. 3.16" ("Klemetsrud Church. I call to come. John 3.16. ") The church organ is made by Josef Hilmar Jørgensen (delivered in 1933).The church is surrounded by a cemetery. Klemetsrud Church is listed and protected by law by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Nøklevann is a lake in Østmarka in Oslo, Norway. It has a surface area of 0.8 km², and is 163 meters above sea level. The lake drains through Ljanselva to Bunnefjorden. It is a former drinking water supply for Oslo.

Bjørndal is a suburb of Oslo, Norway, part of the borough of Søndre Nordstrand. Its population is estimated to be about 9,900 residents. Bjørndal has two primary schools, respectively named "Bjørndal skole" and "Seterbråten skole", a middle school named "Bjørnholt Ungdomsskole" and a high school named "Bjørnholt videregående skole". This school is also known to arrange an entrepreneur camp each year. There are also several private and public kindergartens in the area. Bjørndal is characterized by much development and has a very good sports environment. Bjørndal Idrettsforening has a lot of equipment that can be allocated free for children and young people who want to borrow. Their sports park includes four football pitches, two tennis courts, and a half-pipe, and much more. Bjørndal is a young suburb where the construction began in 1983. The housing is dominated by terraced houses and detached houses, villas, and blocks. The suburb is located on the west side of the E6 (or on the right side when driving south from the center of Oslo). Stores in Bjørndal are "Coop Prix", which is a supermarket store with mail service, a Turkish grocery store, a building supply store named "Orring byggsenter" which recently changed name into "Montér", and there are two fast food restaurants. There are also located a medical practice senter and a dental office which offer medical services to all of Bjørndal's residents. Bjørndal can be reached by bus line number 71A, 71B, 77 and 70N, and are within the ordinary Oslo- rates. .

Vevelstad Station (Norwegian: Vevelstad holdeplass) is located at Langhus in Ski, Norway. On the Østfold Line, the station is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail line L2 operated by Vy with two hourly services. The station was opened in 1985. It was planned as one of two intermediate stations on the new Follo Line between Ski and Oslo, but has since been dismissed.

Sarabråten is an area near the lake Nøklevann in Østmarka, Oslo, Norway. Now a recreational area, it was owned by Thomas Johannessen Heftye and his descendants from 1856 to 1911, and after that by Oslo municipality. It was first recorded under the name Jørgensrud in 1578, when owned by the Diocese of Oslo. A ski jumping hill was located here earlier.Sarabråten has a memorial of Christian Dons, founder of the Scout Movement in Norway, as well as a memorial raised in 1946 of nine WWII resistance members.
