The Carrollton City School District is a public school district in Carroll County, Georgia, United States, based in and serving the city of Carrollton.

Grisham Stadium, Maddox - Musselwhite Track at Historic Trojan Field is a multi-purpose stadium in Carrollton, Georgia, United States. The stadium is home to the many athletic teams at Carrollton High School and hosts various additional functions for the Carrollton City School District.

Carroll County is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area and is also adjacent to Alabama on its western border.

Historically, Carrollton has been a commercial center for several mostly rural counties in both Georgia and Alabama. It is the home of the University of West Georgia and West Georgia Technical College. It is a rural area with a large farming community. The 2019 United States Census estimates placed the city's population at 27,259.

The Carroll County Courthouse in Carrollton, Georgia was built in 1928. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It is located at Newnan and Dixie Streets in Carrollton. It was designed by architect William J.J. Chase and was built by the Carr Construction Co.It has an unusually large courtroom, 25 feet (7.6 m) tall and 3,720 square feet (346 m2) in plan.

George Washington Carver High School was a public secondary school in Carrollton, Georgia, United States. It served as the only high school for African American students in Carroll County during segregation. The school closed in 1969 with the completion of the county's integration process.

University Stadium is an on-campus stadium in Carrollton, Georgia that opened in 2009. It is primarily used for American football and is the home field of the University of West Georgia Wolves. The stadium holds 10,000 people.

WUWG, FM 90.7, is the radio station that formerly broadcast at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, and is now a part of the Georgia Public Broadcasting radio state network. This station is one of several in the GPB system that also produces its own programming; however, the vast majority of the broadcast day is a simulcast of the statewide feed. That feed is also duplicated locally both by GPB's WJSP-FM in Warm Springs and WGPB-FM in Rome, with most NPR programming also carried by non-GPB station WABE from nearby Atlanta. Several programs are also duplicated on Atlanta's WRAS, most of whose broadcast day was involuntarily taken from Georgia State University students in June 2014, resulting in programs like Morning Edition and All Things Considered being aired in the Carrollton area on no fewer than five different frequencies at once for seven total hours every weekday. Originally licensed to the university and operated entirely by students, WUWG was transferred outright to GPB in 2004, though it is unclear under what circumstances. When GPB consolidated broadcasting operations in its Atlanta offices in 2008, Dr. Brad Yates, chair of the UWG Mass Communications department, made advances to start a new student-run radio station.

Mount Zion High School is a public high school, part of the Carroll County School System, located west of Carrollton, Georgia, United States and serving the community of Mount Zion, Georgia. The school's mascot is the Eagle.

John Tanner Park, formerly known as John Tanner State Park, is a 138 acres (56 ha) Carroll County park located between Carrollton and Mount Zion. The park is named after John Tanner, a local businessman who operated the park from 1954 to 1971. He operated it as Tanner's Beach. The park itself is well known for its water-friendly recreation. It contains two lakes, one 12 acres (4.9 ha) and the other 16 acres (6.5 ha), and the largest sand beach of any Georgia state park. There is also a walking and nature trail for land-dwellers. It became managed by Carroll County in 2010 and was purchased by Carroll County in 2013.
