Sunset Center

The Carmel Bach Festival (CBF) began in 1935 as a four-day series of concerts at the Sunset School Auditorium and the Carmel Mission Basilica in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, United States. Over the years, it grew to a three-week series of concerts, recitals, master classes, lectures, and open rehearsals, and in 2009 the Festival was shortened to two weeks under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Paul Goodwin.

It was designated as an important commercial building in the city's Downtown Historic District Property Survey, and was recorded with the Department of Parks and Recreation on December 5, 2002.

The La Ribera Hotel, also known as the Cypress Inn, is a historic Spanish Eclectic hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. It was designed by architects Blaine & Olsen of Oakland, California and built in 1929, by Meese & Briggs. The building was designated as a significant commercial building in the city's Downtown Historic District Property Survey, and was recorded with the Department of Parks and Recreation on February 13, 2003.

T.A. Oakes Building, is a historic commercial building in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. It was built in 1922, by builder Thomas A. Oakes and designed by architect Thomas W. Morgan for a new Post Office and City Hall. It is an example of Western false front and Spanish Colonial Revival architecture styles. The building qualifies as an important building in the city's downtown historic district property survey and was recorded with the California Register of Historical Resources on October 28, 2002.

The De Yoe Building is a historic Tudor Revival style commercial building in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The building was designed and built by the master builder Michael J. Murphy. It was designated as an important commercial building in the city's Downtown Historic District Property Survey, and was recorded with the Department of Parks and Recreation on July 8, 2002.

Carmel Plaza is a 111,980 sq ft (10,403 m2) self-described "upscale, outdoor lifestyle shopping center" in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in the block bounded by Ocean, Junipero, Mission and 7th streets. It is currently anchored by Sur la Table, and Anthropologie and is home to luxury goods retailers such as Tiffany. Three stories of shops surround an open-air courtyard. Despite its small size, the center has been host to small branches of three department stores. At opening on August 18, 1960, I. Magnin opened a 10,000 sq ft (930 m2) store here. Both the store and the center were designed by architect Olof Dahlstrand. Joseph Magnin opened in 1974. After the Joseph Magnin chain closed in 1984, Saks Fifth Avenue opened on May 31, 1986.The shopping mall was built in 1960 by Gerson Bakar and Steve Jacobs. It was sold to Macerich in 1998, and again to the O'Connor Group in 2012.

The Theatre of the Golden Bough was located on Ocean Avenue in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. This "Golden Bough" was one of two theaters in Carmel's history. It was destroyed by fire on May 19, 1935. Kuster moved his film operation to the older facility on Monte Verde Street, renamed it the Filmarte and it became the first "art house" between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It later became the Golden Bough Playhouse that still exists today.

The Golden Bough Playhouse is a historic three-story theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California on Monte Verde St., between 8th and 9th Avenues. The playhouse occupies the site of the former Carmel Arts and Crafts Club, Carmel's first cultural center and theatre, built in 1906–1907 on Casanova Street, and the Arts and Crafts Hall, built in 1923–1924 on an adjacent lot on Monte Verde Street. Since 1994, the facility has been owned and operated by Pacific Repertory Theatre, Monterey County's only year-round professional theatre company. A two-phase renovation of the aging facility began with an interior building project in 2011. A second phase project, including both interior and exterior renovations, is scheduled for 2023-2024. The theatre was recorded with the National Register of Historic Places on July 3, 2002. It is significant as a California historic building because it is located on the original site of the Carmel Arts and Crafts Club and Hall, the oldest indoor performing arts venues in Carmel.

The Isabel Leidig Building is a historic commercial building in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. It was built and designed in 1925, by master builder Michael J. Murphy as a restaurant. It is an example of a mix of Monterey colonial style with Spanish Colonial Revival. The structure is recognized as an important commercial building in the city's Downtown Conservation District Historic Property Survey, and was nominated and submitted to the California Register of Historical Resources on June 18, 2002.

The Percy Parkes Building, is a historic commercial building in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. It was built and designed in 1926, by Percy Parkes as a retail shop. It is an example of a Spanish Colonial Revival style building. The structure is recognized as an important commercial building in the city's Downtown Conservation District Historic Property Survey, and was nominated and submitted to the California Register of Historical Resources on April 25, 2002. The building was recently occupied by Jan De Luz Linens, which is now moved to Dolores Street and 6th Avenue.

It is an example of a Mediterranean Revival architecture style building. The structure is recognized as an important commercial building in the city's Downtown Conservation District Historic Property Survey, and was nominated and submitted to the California Register of Historical Resources on June 19, 2002.
