Lääne-Harju Parish

Klooga training area is one of the six military training fields used by the Estonian Defence Forces. It is located in lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County. Most of its territory of 990 ha (2,400 acres) is within the borders of Klooga small borough while small portions of Põllküla and Maeru village territories are also included.

Klooga concentration camp was a Nazi forced labor subcamp of the Vaivara concentration camp complex established in September 1943 in Harju County, during World War II, in German-occupied Estonia near the village of Klooga. The Vaivara camp complex was commanded by German officers Hans Aumeier, Otto Brennais and Franz von Bodmann and consisted of 20 field camps, some of which existed only for short periods. It is estimated that 1,800–2,000 prisoners perished at Klooga from wanton killings, epidemics and working conditions. Most of them were Jews. Those who survived were transported to the Stutthof concentration camp in occupied Poland ahead of the Soviet advance.

Klooga is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Lääne-Harju Parish in Harju County in northern Estonia. At the 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 1,203, of which the Estonians were 642 (53.4%).During the German occupation in World War II, Klooga concentration camp, a Nazi labor camp, was situated there as a satellite camp of Vaivara concentration camp. On 19 September 1944, about 2,000 inmates of the Klooga camp were executed and the corpses burned on pyres. A large area of the settlement is covered by Estonian Defence Forces' military training field Klooga training area. Klooga has rail stations Klooga and Klooga-Aedlinn on the Elron western route.

Kersalu is a village in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia.

Põllküla is a village in Lääne-Harju Parish in Harju County in northern Estonia. It had the population of 38 (1 January 2004).Põllküla has a station on the Elron western route. Vasalemma river borders Põllküla to the south. Small portion of the eastern part of Põllküla's territory is covered by Klooga training area of the Estonian Defence Forces. During the years 1942-1944 there was a quarantine camp of war refugees located in Põllküla. The refugees were mainly Finns from Ingria, but also other minorities (Estonians, Latvians, Russians) living in then German-occupied Leningrad oblast. Similar evacuation camps were also in nearby Klooga and Paldiski. The refugees who died in the camp waiting for further evacuation were buried in unidentified mass graves in and around Põllküla. Nowadays there's a memorial for those who died in the camp. In summer 2018 a memorial tablet was opened in honor of the leader of the evacuation of the Finns, professor Pentti Kaitera.

Ämari is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County, northern Estonia. As of the 2011 census, the settlement's population was 542, of which the Estonians were 190 (35.1%).

Kloogaranna is a village in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County, Estonia. It has a population of 121 (1 January 2004).Kloogaranna has a station on the Elron rail line and is served by up to three daily trains from Tallinn main station (Balti jaam). Kloogaranna has a long sandy beach just by the train station. During the Soviet era it was very popular, nowadays it's less crowded and for many years there were no facilities. Since 2021 there is a small café by the beach and a kiosk which sell ice cream.

Ämari Air Base (ICAO: EEEI) is a military airbase in Harjumaa, Estonia located 7 km (4.3 mi) south of Lake Klooga and 20 nautical miles (37 km; 23 mi) southwest of Tallinn.The base was opened in 1945.

Laoküla is a village in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It is bordered to the north by the city of Paldiski. The borders of the village extend beyond current dwellings, and so its area is home to several abandoned buildings and their ruins; some from the Soviet era, and some from before.
