Morgan Creek (New Hope River tributary)

New Hope Creek is a watercourse that rises in rural Orange County, North Carolina, in the United States. It drains the western portion of Orange County and the southern half of Durham County and flows into the northern end of Jordan Lake reservoir. The drainage area encompasses urban, suburban and rural lands. Formerly the New Hope River, it was a tributary of the Cape Fear River until it was dammed to create Jordan Lake. Construction of the lake began in 1973, after a comprehensive study of regional water management by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, motivated by major flooding in a 1945 hurricane. Several communities draw drinking water from Jordan Lake, increasing interest in protection of the New Hope Creek watershed. Since the late 1980s, local environmentalists have tried to protect a 20-mile corridor along New Hope Creek for conservation and recreational use. A comprehensive plan for the corridor was approved in 1992 by the City of Durham, Durham County, Orange County and the town of Chapel Hill. Since that time, approximately $3 million has been spent on land acquisition in the corridor and several miles of public trails have been constructed. Publicly accessible trails along New Hope Creek exist within Duke Forest and the Triangle Land Conservancy's Johnston Mill Nature Preserve

John A. Mason House is a historic home located near Farrington, Chatham County, North Carolina. It was built about 1850, and is a two-story, Greek Revival style frame dwelling. It has a two-story rear ell and another one-story rear section. The front facade features a one-story, original, hip-roofed porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Joseph B. Stone House, also known as Stone-Fearrington House, is a historic home located near Farrington, Chatham County, North Carolina. It dates to the late-18th or early-19th century, and is a two-story, three bay Georgian / Federal style I house frame dwelling. It has an original one-story rear shed. The building was restored in 1969. Also on the property are the contributing old well which has been covered by a small brick gable roof pumphouse, a large early-20th century barn, and the 18th century John Dupree House, which was moved to its present site from Wake County.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Northeast District Park is a 66 acre public park in Chatham County, North Carolina in the United States, operated by the Chatham County Parks and Recreation Department.Amenities include a regulation-size baseball field with lights and bleachers, two regulation tennis courts, a multipurpose field for soccer, ultimate, football, rugby, and other field sports approximately 125 by 85 yards with bleachers (approx. 150 seats), a restroom/concession building, a picnic shelter with pond view, a playground, a 1/4-mile asphalt walking trail that loops the pond, and parking. The pond existed as part of the farm that was on the parklands before the park was developed. Use of firearms is forbidden in the gamelands around the park. Signs are posted to indicate that only bow hunting is allowed in this area.

It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 1,512.Governors Village consists of four residential home neighborhoods (Governors Village, Governors Park, Governors Forest, Governors Lake), 160 townhomes (Governors Village and Governors Lake Townes), 242 apartments (Camden Governors Village), and multiple commercial buildings. Governors Village is located directly across the street from the main entrance to Governors Club, a 1,600 acre gated community with a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course with over 1,200 homes.

It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 727.The community is in northern Chatham County, 5 miles (8 km) south-southeast of the center of Chapel Hill. The CDP is bordered to the north by Orange County and Durham County. State Road 1726 (Old Farrington Road) forms the southeastern border of the community, and State Route 1727 (Whippoorwill Lane) is the southwestern border. The Governors Village CDP is to the southwest, across Whippoorwill Lane.

Governors Club is a golf course community and census-designated place (CDP) in Chatham County, North Carolina, United States. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 1,969.The community is in northern Chatham County, 7 miles (11 km) south of Chapel Hill. It is bordered to the northeast by the Governors Village CDP. The 667-foot (203 m) summit of Edwards Mountain is in the west-central part of the Governors Club CDP.
