The Confiserie Sprüngli is a Swiss luxury confectionery manufacturer founded in 1836 and internationally known for its signature macarons called "Luxemburgerli".

Paradeplatz tram stop, located in Paradeplatz, Zurich, Switzerland, is one of the 487 tram stops on the Zurich tram network. It is one of the busiest transfer points, given its central position and location on the city's main street, Bahnhofstrasse. The stop is owned and maintained by Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ), which operates Zurich's trams, buses and Polybahn and Rigiblick funiculars The stop is served by eight lines: 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 17. 2, 8 and 9 to Stauffacher 6, 7, 11, 13 and 17 to Zürich Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) along the northern part of Bahnhofstrasse 2, 8, 9 and 11 to Bürkliplatz and Bellevueplatz along the southern part of Bahnhofstrasse 6, 7, 13 and 17 to Zürich Enge railway station. The first horse-drawn trams circulated in 1882; the trams were electrified in 1896. Trams were mentioned at Paradeplatz in 1888. Hermann Herter architects designed the stop's waiting shelter in 1928.

Paradeplatz is a square on Bahnhofstrasse in downtown Zürich, Switzerland. It is one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in Switzerland and has become synonymous with wealth and the Swiss banks, being the location of the headquarters of both UBS and Credit Suisse. It is surrounded by four blocks of buildings. The site of the square lay without the medieval city walls, and was incorporated into the town with the construction of the new ramparts in 1642. During the 17th century, it served as a livestock market, known as Säumärt ("pig market"), renamed to Neumarkt ("new market") in 1819 and finally to its current name following the construction of Bahnhofstrasse (1865).Paradeplatz is one of the main nodal points of the Zürich tram network, and the stop is served by lines 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 17. Paradeplatz was the scene of clashes between insurgents and cantonal troops during the 1839 Züriputsch. The first horse-drawn trams circulated in 1882 and were electrified in 1896.

Peterhof (also known as the Grieder-Haus) is a historic six-story building in Zurich, Switzerland. Located on Bahnhofstrasse, at the northeastern edge of Paradeplatz, it was built in 1913 to a design by brothers Werner (1884–1950) and Otto Pfister (1880–1959). In 2024, after over a century at the location, the Grieder clothing store closed upon the discontinuation of the brand by the Geneva-based Brunschwig family. It was replaced by the family's other brand, Bongénie. A decade earlier, The Swatch Group acquired the "prestigious building" from Credit Suisse. The Junobrunnen (lit. 'Juno fountain') stands near the building's southern side.

Credit Suisse Group AG (French pronunciation: ​[kʁe.di sɥis], lit. 'Swiss Credit') is a global investment bank and financial services firm founded and based in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zürich, it maintains offices in all major financial centers around the world and provides services in investment banking, private banking, asset management, and shared services. It is known for strict bank–client confidentiality and banking secrecy. The Financial Stability Board considers it to be a global systemically important bank. Credit Suisse is also a primary dealer and Forex counterparty of the Federal Reserve in the United States. Credit Suisse was founded in 1856 to fund the development of Switzerland's rail system. It issued loans that helped create Switzerland's electrical grid and the European rail system. In the 1900s, it began shifting to retail banking in response to the elevation of the middle class and competition from fellow Swiss banks UBS and Julius Bär. Credit Suisse partnered with First Boston in 1978 before buying a controlling share of the bank in 1988. From 1990 to 2000, the company purchased institutions such as Winterthur Group, Swiss Volksbank, Swiss American Securities Inc. (SASI), and Bank Leu. The biggest institutional shareholders of Credit Suisse include the Saudi National Bank (9.88%), the Qatar Investment Authority and BlackRock (about 5% each), Dodge & Cox, Norges Bank and the Saudi Olayan Group.The company was one of the least affected banks during the global financial crisis, but afterwards began shrinking its investment business, executing layoffs and cutting costs. The bank was at the center of multiple international investigations for tax avoidance which culminated in a guilty plea and the forfeiture of US$2.6 billion in fines from 2008 to 2012. By the end of 2022, Credit Suisse had approximately CHF 1.3 trillion in assets under management.On 19 March 2023, following negotiations with the Swiss government, UBS announced its intent to acquire Credit Suisse for $3.25 billion (CHF 3 billion) in order to prevent the bank's collapse. While the deal undergoes review, Credit Suisse remains operational.

The Zunfthaus zur Waag, in Zurich, Switzerland, was the guild house of the Zunft zur Waag. Completed in 1315, it is one of the many historically valuable buildings in the city's Lindenhof quarter. It is situated on the northwestern side of Münsterhof, the largest public square in Zurich. The building is now Restaurant Zunfthaus zur Waag.

The Uhrenmuseum Beyer (Beyer Watch and Clock Museum) is a horology museum at the Bahnhofstrasse 31, Zürich, Switzerland. It is affiliated with Beyer Watches & Jewellery, a watch retailer and family business. The core of the museum was acquired during the life of Theodore 'Teddy' Beyer, a pioneer in collecting antique timekeepers. The collection is made up of premechanical timekeepers (sundials, sandglasses, water and fire clocks) as well as clocks and watches from around the world and covering all eras. The collection is particularly strong regarding early clocks and watches, including several pieces from the gothic and renaissance era, as well as complicated pieces with many complications. Many of the displayed pieces are unique and/or significant in the history of watchmaking, and therefore are often loaned out to major museums around the world. The collection includes one of the early marine chronometers by Ferdinand Berthoud, a pendule sympathique by Breguet, a pocket watch with astronomical indications by Auch, several bespoke late 20th century watches by George Daniels, one of the few reproductions of the astrarium by De Dondi to name just a few highlights. Furthermore, there are superb Geneva made enameled pocket watches, and a most instructive timeline illustrating the history of the Neuchâtel pendule. Additionally there is a good small display of locally made clocks and watches including such Zurich makers as Bachoffner, Liechti and Ochsner.

Beyer Watches & Jewellery (German: Beyer Uhren & Juwelen) is a watch and jewellery maker and retailer in Zürich, Switzerland. Located on Bahnhofstrasse, the business was established in 1760, making it the oldest watch retailer in the world. It is owned by René Beyer and Muriel Zahn-Beyer, members of the eighth generation of the Beyer family.

The Fraumünster (German pronunciation: [fʁaʊ̯ˈmʏnstɐ]; lit. in English: Women's Minster, but often wrongly translated to [Our] Lady Minster) is a church in Zürich which was built on the remains of a former abbey for aristocratic women which was founded in 853 by Louis the German for his daughter Hildegard. He endowed the Benedictine convent with the lands of Zürich, Uri, and the Albis forest, and granted the convent immunity, placing it under his direct authority. Today, it belongs to the Evangelical Reformed Church of the canton of Zürich and is one of the four main churches of Zürich, the others being the Grossmünster, Prediger and St. Peter's churches.

Galerie Gmurzynska is a commercial art gallery based in Zurich, Switzerland, specializing in modern and contemporary art and work by the Russian avant-garde. It became a popular venue for international collectors seeking Russian art that was banned by the Soviet regime, and, according to Artnet, became the "go-to place for Russian art for international collectors".The gallery buys and sells mostly works by modern and contemporary artists. It also sells pieces at art fairs by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Kurt Schwitters, Fernand Léger, Lyonel Feininger, Robert and Sonia Delaunay, Stallone and Fernando Botero. The gallery works with the estates of Yves Klein, Wifredo Lam, Louise Nevelson, and Robert Indiana among others. It also arranged for an exhibition of Sylvester Stallone at the Museum of Modern Art in Nice in 2015 and hosts the artwork of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and the architect Richard Meier.The gallery also publishes books and catalogues for its exhibitions.

Bahnhofstrasse is Zürich's main downtown street and one of the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping avenues. In 2011, a study named the Bahnhofstrasse the most expensive street for retail property in Europe, and the third most expensive worldwide. In 2016, the street ranked ninth. It came into existence when the city fortifications were demolished in 1864 and the ditch in front of the walls was filled in. Until that time, the name of the location had been Fröschengraben ("Ditch Of The Frogs"), which then was changed to Bahnhofstrasse ("Railway Station Street"). Bahnhofstrasse starts at Bahnhofplatz ("Station Square") in front of the Zürich Hauptbahnhof (47°22′40″N 8°32′25″E), passing Rennweg, Augustinergasse and Paradeplatz before it ends after 1.4 km at Bürkliplatz (47.3671°N 8.5409°E / 47.3671; 8.5409 (Bürkliplatz)) on Lake Zürich (National Bank), (Hotel Baur au Lac). The street is largely pedestrianised, but is also an important link in the Zürich tram network. North of Paradeplatz the street carries routes 6, 7, 11 and 13, whilst to the south it carries 2, 8, 9 and 11. Stops are served at Hauptbahnhof, Rennweg, Paradeplatz, Börsenstrasse and Bürkliplatz. The two biggest Swiss banks, UBS and the Credit Suisse Group, have their headquarters there. Paradeplatz is also known for its chocolate shop and cafe, Confiserie Sprüngli.

Augustinerkloster was one of the eight monasteries within the medieval city of Zürich in Switzerland. It was founded around 1270 as an Augustinian Order priory on the site of the present Augustinerkirche Zürich on Münzplatz, and was abolished in 1524.
