Longford is 1.5 miles west of Market Drayton and 1 mile southeast of Moreton Say. A topographical guide to Shropshire published in 2005 describes Longford as a "charming hamlet on a rise in undulating country."The village name is believed to come from a great road that existed in Roman times and was simply known as the Longford. By 1319 it was a Royal road between Bletchley and Hinstock to the south. The village, not on the road, is located just east of Bletchley.

Styche Hall is a country house near Market Drayton, Shropshire. It was home to the Clive family and is a Grade II listed building. Styche belonged to the Clive family, and Robert Clive was born in the old timber-framed house in 1725. On his return from India in 1760, he decided to rebuild Styche Hall. He commissioned Sir William Chambers, who carried out the rebuilding between 1762 and 1766. Further alterations were carried out by Joseph Bromfield of Shrewsbury in 1796–98 for his son Hon. Robert Clive (1769–1833). These included bays, and it is possible that the second floor was added at the same time. Further modifications were carried out around 1900. The building is now divided into flats.

Fordhall Farm is an organic farm of 128 acres, in Market Drayton in north Shropshire, England. It is owned by an industrial and provident society, the Fordhall Community Land Initiative (FCLI), whose aim is to use the farm for community benefit. The farm became a cause célèbre in 2005, when a campaign to raise funds for FCLI to purchase the land gained national press attention. Within the boundaries of the farm are the remains (earthworks) of Fordhall castle, a scheduled Norman ringwork-and-bailey castle.

No. 10 Flying Training School (10 FTS) is a former Royal Air Force flying training school that operated between 1936 and 1954.

Royal Air Force Tern Hill or RAF Tern Hill (ICAO: EGOE) was a Royal Air Force station at Ternhill in Shropshire, England, near the towns of Newport and Market Drayton. The station closed in 1976, with the technical and administrative site transferring to the British Army to become Borneo Barracks, later renamed Clive Barracks (after Major-General Robert Clive). The airfield part of the site was retained by the RAF and is now known as Tern Hill Airfield. It is predominantly used as a relief landing ground for helicopters of the No 1 Flying Training School, based at RAF Shawbury. The airfield is also home to the RAF's No. 632 Volunteer Gliding Squadron.

Wollerton is a small village within the civil parish of Hodnet in Shropshire, England. It lies approximately three miles to the south west of Market Drayton and sits on the old A53 and adjacent to the new Hodnet bypass which forms the new route of the A53. Since the construction of the Hodnet bypass, Wollerton's public house, The Squirrel, has closed and no other amenities other than a URC chapel remain. The village used to have a railway station, Wollerton Halt on the Wellington and Drayton Railway until the line was dismantled in 1970.The Old Hall is a Grade II* listed building.

Little Drayton Halt railway station was a station in Market Drayton, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1935 and closed on 6 October 1941.
