Haifa Airport (Hebrew: נְמַל הַתְּעוּפָה חֵיפָה, Namal HaTe'ufa Haifa; Arabic: مطار حيفا) (IATA: HFA, ICAO: LLHA), also known as U Michaeli Airport is a small international airport located in Haifa, Israel. It is located to the east of the city, close to Kishon Port and Israel Shipyards and mainly serves civilian flights, with some military usage. Most passenger flights utilizing the airport are domestic operations to Eilat and Tel Aviv. The airport is named after Uri Michaeli, one of the pioneers of Jewish aviation and one of the founders of aviation in Israel. The airport has one short runway, 1,318 metres (4,324 ft) in length, and there are plans to extend it by 316 metres (1,037 ft).

Highway 22 (Hebrew: כביש 22), also known as the Bay Highway, is a suburban freeway in the Haifa metropolitan area connecting downtown Haifa with the city's northern exit to the Krayot. From there it continues northwards as a bypass of the Krayot, providing an alternative route to Highway 4. The highway is divided into two parts: The Kishon Road is a 5 km long urban section from the Hiram interchange in downtown Haifa to the Yigael Yadin interchange. The first stage of the Kishon Road was built by Haifa's municipal Yefe Nof company and opened in 2005. The Mevo Carmel Interchange opened on January 12, 2010, eliminating a dangerous railway crossing on the way to the Krayot. The Krayot Bypass is a 12 km long suburban section bypassing the Krayot area. There have been plans to create an alternative road to the congested Haifa - Acre road since the 1970s, however financial and bureaucratic issues prevented these plans from being realized for several decades. Shapir Marine and Civil Engineering Ltd. won the tender to construct this part of the highway, work on which commenced in 2010. The entire cost of this segment is estimated at NIS 1.9 billion (approximately US$500 million in 2010 dollars) and was managed by the National Roads Authority. Other works in the vicinity of the highway included the construction of connections from the highway to the Carmel Tunnels and Highway 75 and improvements to Highway 4 from the Karey Na'aman interchange to just south of Acre. The southern part of the Krayot Bypass, from Haifa to the Bialik Interchange was completed mid-September 2012, ahead of schedule. The last section leading to Karei Na'aman Interchange was completed in March 2013. A direct connection between the highway and the Carmel Tunnels (Highway 23) was completed in March 2014.

The Zevulun Valley or Zvulun Valley (Hebrew: עמק זבולון, Emek Zvulun) is a fertile coastal territory in the North of Israel, part of the Israeli coastal plain along the Haifa Bay.The length of the valley is 14 km, with its maximum width is up to 9 kilometers. Geologically it is not a valley, but rather a plain, a continuation of the fault which produces a lowland pathway from the Jordan River to the Haifa Bay — which also includes the Jezreel Valley (which is not a valley in a traditional sense either), the Harod Valley and the Beit She'an Valley.The Zvulun Valley is bounded by the Naaman River to the North, the Mount Carmel range to the South, Mediterranean Sea / Haifa Bay to the West, and the Alonim – Shfar'am hills of the Lower Galilee to the east. The Kishon River runs along the southern side of the area into the Haifa Bay.The name of the territory was chosen by a mistake, because according to the descriptions in the Book of Joshua the Zevulun tribe were within the Jezreel Valley, while the land in question belonged to the tribe of Asher.In the west of the valley are the cities of the Krayot cluster, the center is occupied by the settlements of the Zevulun Regional Council, in the east there are kibbutz Yagur and Kfar Hasidim (both under the jurisdiction of ZRC), Rechasim and some Arab settlements, such as Ibtin.

BAZAN Group, (ORL or BAZAN, Hebrew: בז"ן – בתי זיקוק לנפט בע"מ), formerly Oil Refineries Ltd., is an oil refining and petrochemicals company located in Haifa Bay, Israel. It operates the largest oil refinery in the country. ORL has a total oil refining capacity of approximately 9.8 million tons of crude oil per year. ORL provides a variety of products used in industrial operations, agriculture and transportation. ORL is Israel's largest integrated refining and petrochemical facility. The company also provides storage and transportation services for oil fuel products, as well as electricity and steam to industrial customers in the region.

The Haifa Oil Refinery massacre took place on 30 December 1947 in Mandatory Palestine. It began when six Arabs were killed and 42 wounded after members of the Zionist paramilitary organisation, the Irgun, threw a number of grenades at a crowd of about 100 Arab day-labourers. These Arab day-labourers had gathered outside the main gate of the then British-owned Haifa Oil Refinery to look for work. Minutes after this Irgun attack, Arab refinery workers and others began attacking the Jewish refinery workers, resulting in 39 deaths and 49 injuries, before the British army and Palestine Police units arrived to put an end to the violence. This came to be known as the "Haifa Oil Refinery massacre". Haganah later retaliated by attacking two nearby Arab villages in what became known as the Balad al-Shaykh massacre, where between 21 and 70 Arabs were killed, while skirmishes followed in Haifa.

Thomas D'Alesandro Stadium, known as Kiryat Haim Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Kiryat Haim, Israel. It is currently used mostly for soccer matches and is the home stadium of Hapoel Haifa's youth teams. It used to be home to the first teams of Hapoel as well as Maccabi Haifa, but was replaced by Kiryat Eliezer Stadium in 1955. The stadium was built with help from the Jewish community of Baltimore, Maryland and named for the mayor of Baltimore, Thomas D'Alesandro.

Kiryat Haim railway station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת קרית חיים, Tahanat HaRakevet Kiryat Haim) is an Israel Railways passenger station serving Haifa's borough of Kiryat Haim and its immediate surrounding region.

The Kishon River (Hebrew: נחל הקישון, Nachal HaKishon; Arabic: نهر المقطع, Nahr el-Mokatta, or Mukutta', – the river of slaughter or dismemberment; alternative Arabic, الكيشون al-Qisun) is a river in Israel that flows into the Mediterranean Sea near the city of Haifa.

HaMifratz Central railway station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת מרכזית המפרץ, Taḥanat HaRakevet Merkazit HaMifratz) is an Israeli railway passenger station in Haifa, Israel co-located with the Haifa Bay central bus station. It serves Lev HaMifratz Mall (Hebrew: קניון לב המפרץ, Heart of the Bay Mall), one of Haifa's largest malls, and the surrounding Haifa Bay industrial zone in the northeast of the city.

Lev HaMifratz Mall (Hebrew: קניון לב המפרץ, Kanyon Lev HaMifratz, lit. Heart of the Bay Mall), officially branded Cinemall, is a shopping mall located in Haifa, Israel.Lev HaMifratz has three floors of stores, a food court, an underground parking garage, and an above ground parking garage. In the past, it included an amusement park, a miniature golf course and an ice skating rink.The area around Lev HaMifratz is also a transportation hub. Behind it is a train station, with trains to Nahariya and Tel Aviv. The entrance to the station is from the above ground parking garage. It is also adjacent to the Haifa Bay Central Bus Station, which is the main junction between the Krayot and the city of Haifa.During construction, the mall was hit by an Iraqi Scud missile in the course of the 1991 Gulf War.

Kiryat Yam (Hebrew: קִרְיַת יָם, lit. Sea Town) is a city in the Haifa Bay district of Israel, 12 km (7 mi) north of Haifa. One of a group of Haifa suburbs known as the Krayot, it is located on the Mediterranean coast, between Kiryat Haim and the Tzur Shalom industrial area, east of Kiryat Motzkin. In 2019 it had a population of 39,897.

Kiryat Haim (Hebrew: קריית חיים pronounced [kiʁˈjat χaˈjim], Arabic: كريات حاييم) is a neighborhood of Haifa, Israel. It is considered part of the Krayot cluster in the northern part of metropolitan Haifa. In 2008, Kiryat Haim had a population of just under 27,000. Kiryat Haim is within the municipal borders of the city of Haifa, and lies on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
