The Auburn Masonic Temple, also known as the Auburn Masonic Hall and the John H. Robinson Memorial Masonic Temple, is an historic two-story Masonic building located at 948 Lincoln Way on the Central Square in Auburn, California. In 1913 Eureka Lodge No. 16, Free and Accepted Masons, chartered in 1851, bought two adjoining one-story redbrick commercial buildings on this site for $17,000 and commissioned architect Allen D. Fellows to add a second-story to them with a unified facade with an entrance to the second floor placed in on the left side of the first floor street front. Fellows designed the expansion in the Beaux-Arts style of architecture with brick walls and a terracotta facade and it was built in 1914-1915 by Herdal Brothers of Auburn and dedicated on April 25, 1916. The terracotta was supplied by Gladding, McBean and Company which is still in existence. The first floor, which once housed a J. C. Penney store, continues to be used for retail and office space while the second floor continues to be used by Eureka Lodge and other Masonic-related bodies. On December 19, 2011, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Auburn Joss House is part of the Old Auburn Historic District, a National Register of Historic Place listed historic district; and has a historical marker erected in 2005 by the Native Sons of the Golden West. It is also known as Joss House and Joss House Museum.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.It was designed by George Clinton Sellon, the first State Architect of California. It was built during 1935-37 as a Works Progress Administration project.It has also hosted the Boys & Girls Club Auburn.In 2018, it holds the Placer County Visitors Bureau/California Welcome Center.

The Arts Council of Placer County (PlacerArts) was established in 1983 as a not-for-profit agency. As the catalyst for the arts and humanities in Placer County, the Council encourages excellence and expansion of visual, musical, theatrical, literary, media, and dance art endeavors. The Council serves as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Placer County and also publishes a bimonthly arts magazine Perspectives. Its purpose is to create a forum for communication for artists and art organizations in Placer County and to increase awareness of activities and programs related to arts and culture in the area. The Arts Council of Placer County runs under the California state arts council, the California Arts Council (CAC).

Auburn station is an Amtrak station in Auburn, California. Located at the corner of Nevada Street and Fulweiler Street, it serves as the northern terminus of the Capitol Corridor line. The station is not staffed. The platform is next to a short spur track off Track 2 of Union Pacific Railroad's route over Donner Pass. Because of the geography of the city, the Union Pacific's mainline tracks are split, with Track 1 running through the eastern side of the city and Track 2 crossing the western side of the city. The California Zephyr bypasses the city on its route between Roseville and Colfax primarily via Track 1. Auburn became a stop on Amtrak's Capitol Corridor in January 1998.It is served by one round trip per day from Oakland, and one weekend round trip per day from San Jose. The latter is the only round trip running along the entire 168 mi (270 km) length of the corridor. The station is also served by two Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach routes – one between the station and Sacramento and one between Sacramento and Sparks, Nevada. The latter route stops only to discharge passengers towards Sparks and only to receive passengers towards Sacramento.Auburn served 13,352 passengers boarding or detraining in fiscal year 2017.In March 2008, the station (formerly Auburn Multimodal Station) was renamed Robert F. Conheim Auburn Train Station after a long-time Auburn rail rider, who died the previous year.
