Harrison is a suburb of the district of Gungahlin in Canberra, Australia. The suburb is named after the former city planner Peter Harrison, who was instrumental in reviving Walter Burley Griffin's plan for the National Capital. The suburb is adjacent to the suburbs of Franklin, Gungahlin, Throsby, Kenny and the industrial estate Mitchell. Harrison's place names reflects those of "natural features, waterfalls, plains, tablelands and plateaux". The suburb is located approximately 2 km east of the Gungahlin Town Centre and about 10 km from the centre of Canberra. After the launch of Light Rail on 20 April by ACT government, Harrison residents can enjoy the benefits of Light Rail from any of the Flemington Road stops.

Franklin (postcode: 2913) is a suburb of Canberra, Australia in the district of Gungahlin. It is named after the novelist Miles Franklin. The streets in Franklin are named after writers. It comprises an area of approximately 256 hectares. It is bounded by Flemington Road to the north and east, Well Station Drive to the south, and Gungahlin Drive to the west. Franklin is mainly a residential area with higher density, mixed-use development along Flemington Road including a local shopping centre and other retail and commercial tenancies.

Mapleton Avenue is a light rail station in Australia on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Mapleton Avenue, Flemington Road and Manning Clark Crescent. The station serves the suburbs of Franklin and Harrison and provides bicycle racks for commuters in addition to "kiss and ride" bays, installed around the intersection adjacent to the station.

Well Station Drive is a light rail station on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Well Station Drive and Flemington Road. It serves the residential suburb of Harrison and is the closest station to many businesses in Mitchell. The station's location and lack of suitable footpaths makes access to the industrial area difficult for pedestrians, leading to safety concerns within the community. Bicycle racks and "kiss and ride" bays are currently installed around the intersection adjacent to the station.In June 2019, the ACT Government announced funding for the construction of a 200 space park and ride to be built adjacent to the station, as well as an addition stop between Well Station Drive and EPIC to better serve the Mitchell industrial area.

Kenny is a designated suburb in the Canberra, Australia district of Gungahlin. The suburb is named in honour of Elizabeth Kenny, an Australian who pioneered muscle rehabilitation practices which serve as the foundation of physiotherapy. It is adjacent to the suburbs of Watson, Lyneham, the Mitchell industrial estate, Harrison and Throsby and bounded by the Federal Highway to the east and Horse Park Drive to the north. The suburb Kenny is situated about 4 km from the Gungahlin Towncentre and 8 km from the centre of Canberra.

The Treloar Resource Centre, also known as the Treloar Centre and Treloar Technology Centre, is the Australian War Memorial's (AWM's) storage and conservation facility. It is located in the industrial suburb of Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory. The AWM describes the Treloar Resource Centre as "the Memorial's conservation facility and store for large objects of military technology, including aircraft, vehicles, boats, missiles and guns".

Manning Clark North is a light rail station in Australia on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Flemington Road and the western end of Manning Clark Crescent. The station serves the eastern part of the Gungahlin Town Centre as well as the adjacent suburbs of Franklin and Harrison. At the time of opening, much of the land surrounding the station was undeveloped. Bicycle racks and "kiss and ride" bay are provided on Flemington Road close to the station. The Gungahlin Cemetery is a major cemetery in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It is located in Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory. The cemetery opened in 1979. It includes a natural burial ground and an aboriginal lawn.

Gungahlin Place is a transport interchange located in the Gungahlin Town Centre. It is the northern terminus of the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line and is an important connection point between light rail and bus transport. The current bus interchange opened on 21 April 2018. Despite the station being named Gungahlin Place, the light rail platforms are actually located on a section of Hibberson Street that has been closed to road traffic. Light rail service began in April 2019. As the northern terminus of Canberra Metro's R1 route, Gungahlin Place is the second busiest light rail station on the network, with 20% of all passengers boarding or alighting a service here in the first 10 months of operation.

Sandford Street is a light rail station in Australia on the Canberra Metro R1 Civic to Gungahlin line, located at the intersection of Flemington Road, Sandford Street and Morriset Road in Mitchell. The station serves the surrounding business and industrial precinct, and will support future residential development in the neighbouring suburb of Kenny. Bicycle racks are provided around the intersection adjacent to the station. It is the only station on the Civic to Gungahlin route that did not open with stage 1 of the network.

At the 2021 census, the population of the district was 87,682.Within the district is the northernmost town centre of the ACT, situated 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Canberra City ("Civic" in the local parlance); one of five satellite cities of the ACT, with Woden, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek and Belconnen.

Mitchell (postcode: 2911) is a light-industrial estate of Canberra, Australia in the district of Gungahlin. Mitchell was named in honour of Major Sir Thomas Livingstone Mitchell, an explorer of inland New South Wales and Surveyor-General of New South Wales. The streets in Mitchell are named after Australian industrialists.In the 2016 census, Mitchell had no recorded population.It is commonly believed by Canberra residents that the suburb of Mitchell contains Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) and also Thoroughbred Park (Canberra Racecourse). In fact, these facilities are located in the neighbouring suburb of Lyneham. Mitchell is one of the two areas in Canberra where brothels may legally operate, along with Fyshwick. Mitchell also has other adult entertainment industry shops and one strip club.
